I'm not your typical TMNT fan. Most of you I'm sure saw the cartoon when you were kids. I was well into adulthood when they came out. How did I get into them? At the time I worked in the central repair shop for the Alladin's Castle arcade chain, and you'll never guess what the most popular video game was at the time. I remember we were getting many, many machines ready for the various arcades, and for another arcade place I worked for, the manager practically begged me to come and get his game working (it was a minor problem I quickly fixed.) I did see the cartoon out of curiousity, and followed the Mirage comic for a while. No, I didn't collect any of the toys or anything like that. Wonder if any TMNT machines are out in the arcades nowadays? I wish the 1985 Gauntlet still was; I remember playing that and having fun fighting and screaming and swearing at each other when I was playing that with others.

I've long since left that career, and have been working for the past 15 years as a test technician at an X-ray machine factory, doing mostly calibration and minor repairs.

My handle is that of the most advanced Japanese tank during World War Two, and it was prehistoric junk even for the era, but it's what the Japanese military was stuck with.

Oh, the machines are still out there. I know of at least one or two in my area. Welcome.

And another thing I love about this forum (before I joined) is the mixed group of people here. I like the fact there are so many female dedicated TMNT fans as well. :)

And before too long I'll post my story about how Oroku Saki became the Shredder. ;)

Welcome to the 'Drome, Type 97 Chi-ha! I highly encourage you to have fun and enjoy your stay. I'm cowabunga but you caall me comabunga if you wish. I'm crazier than most people and I'm not an average person which is a good thing. I played Gauntlet before. I have this Dreamcast game and it has six Midway games on it. Gauntlet happens to be one of those games. Have you played Spyhunter? That's a good one.

Hello, Type 97 Chi-ha

Yep, lots of girls.....and some of us are in the 30+ category too. (Eww I hate writing that 3!)

Anyway, welcome to the 'drome. You'll find me most often in the fanfic arena belting out some story that has come to mind between getting knocked around in taekwondo tournaments and scraped across the pavement in my motorcycle races. Hope to see you there ;)

Oh, Spy Hunter was another classic. There's also N.A.R.C., Mr. Do., Dig Dug, Revolution-X, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Ikari Warriors, Guerrilla War, S.T.U.N. Runner (God I miss that one so bad), and so many others.

I wonder if anybody here are actually parents?

How's this for a booty picture?

http://www.newshounds.com/images/Fan%20Art/tom3-20-03.gif

Yes, it's my own drawing, a fan art picture for the Newshounds webcomic, and that is Sam Shepherd and Saddam Hussein, drawn at the beginning of the second Gulf War.
