*2nd attempt-- stupid computer*

Greetings everyone! I have returned Yet again to provide you some entertainment in the time before the upcoming episode!

As we saw last week, our 'filler' turned out to be quite an important character development between the two lovebirds. The boys have been healing, life is getting back to normal (for them) and Donnie has yet again lost his softspot to another cute girl.
SO that mill got demolished... and the forest was destroyed... and that lake? Well, it’ll give the boys something to do.

As for This week... Ok, some of you may recognize this from the Mirage comics. The rest of you... just go with me on this, ok?

We’re gonna have a Raptor on the show! Wait, that’s me.. This story is about a guy is named Raptarr. What is he? A gargoyle? A badass angel? Maybe he’s related to BIIIIIIRRRDMAN! :P
He’s an Avian, and he’s here on Earth to battle a guy with METAL wings (he’s like a stealth fighter!), names Mephos. Now, when I first saw this name it hit me…

Mephos= Mephistopheles?

Anyways, the reason behind this battle taking place on Earth--- Hold on, Why is Earth always the location for these kinda things? Did the Triceratons advertise this place just to spite us? Are we located under “suitable terrain for war” in the Intergalactic Yellow Pages? I can only imagine…

As I was saying, the reason behind this fight is this… (According to the official site), the (Magical) Mister Mistofelees wants to take over Raptarr’s Flying city for two reasons: FREE CABLE (I’m serious) And so that he can TERRORIZE THE WORLD OF MAN. What’s he gonna do? Make Reality TV Pay-Per-View? Is He gonna put Ronco’s Oven Rotisserie and the Juiceman in the Primetime Lineup? Like I said, you just gotta go with me on this.

And of course, you KNOW that the guys are gonna HAVE to get involved. What they’re gonna do exactly is beyond me, especially if this dogfight’s taking place up in the air.

So yeah…

WILL RAPTARR BE ABLE TO DEFEAT THIS METALLIC MALIGNANT?
IS THERE GOING TO BE ANYMORE FOREST LEFT OVER FROM THIS BATTLE?
IS LEONARDO GOING TO SAY MORE THAN TWO LINES IN THIS EPISODE?
WHY IS MY CAPSLOCK Always on when I type this part?!

STAY TUNED!!!

[As always, Fellow Mods are more than welcomed to come and comment.. :D ]

I haven't seen this episode yet, but I THINK next week will be a LEONARDO story instead of a Raph one, like in the comics. (I haven't seen the preview)

actually, the preview for next week seems to be focused around Donnie... :ohwell:

Hey, I actually got up off my fat ass this morning and watched it. Been a while.

Anyways, I really enjoyed this one. Haven't seen a damn thing from Season 03, so I'll just catch up on DVD sometime. This one had a nice backstory for a One shot. Really nice.

i didnt like this episode. im sick of the season not starting yet. by episode three of season one all the major players were introduced, episode three of season two: in the middle of a war for the fugitoid. episode three of season three: a triceriton invasion is just wrapping up. There is no story line yet! it drives me crazy. this raptarr guy, i liked him in the comics but now he seems like a cheap angel(from x-men) and Nobody clone. hidden city, one bad guy, blah blah blah heard it. Next weeks preview gave us nothing. no hint at anything. im very dissapointed and i want the story to start.

Wow, Raptarr was pretty hawt...looked kinda like a blonde Casey...face shape 'n all. But man, I go to pieces over a pretty guy with pretty wings. XD

I didn't really think much of the episode, sadly...though that's the first time I've been able to say that since "Across the Universe," and I don't think I said it about any episode before that. Animation was good, and Mikey makes me laugh too much too early in the morning I've decided.

I wonder how long Donnie spent coming up with those wings...and the guys did get the hang of flying REALLY easily...Guess it all comes with having good balance.

And YAY! Leo actually looked to be having a little fun when the boys were tossing the green key crystal. I'm sure he'll go back to his stoic 'moody Leo' self soon enough. I loved Mikey's Star Wars reference...even though he didn't get it right. hehe.

Awwww, a Donnie episode next week! Yay! :3 That preview was CUTE. Especially the slipping on a banana peel. And the:

Donnie: "Please accept my apologies."
Guy: "For what?"
Donnie: "For thi~is." *WACK*

Mehehehe...now to get out of working the early shift next saturday.

Beggers can't be choosers IMO.

In all honesty I'm glad they're not following a set pattern on how to tell these stories. I kept telling myself once, how is this cartoon ever gonna establish itself if all it does is tell a big long story? How are new characters supposed to be introduced if all we have is Stockman, Shredder, Hun, Karai, Bishop, you know, the norm?

Fillers are good so that the universe can expand with new characters, which then brings new merchandise. However, this wasn't totally a "filler" episode.

On topic about the episode. I almost puked watching it. Meaning I was almost disgusted. The writer started the show off by reciting three lines from three movies, and I was like, "oh great, this dudes gonna make this whole episodes script a game of movie trivia; who said it."

After the three lines, it stopped, so now we had an episode that was getting better. So in all it's a good episode. However three lines from three movies back to back makes me think the writer had nothing better to start out with.

Those three lines... As a screenwriter, I'm naturally a movie buff so here they are.

First movie line: Mikeys Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate lead to, umm. - Yoda: Star Wars: Episode 1 (had Mikey actually finished it.)

Second movie line: You are a god amongst insects. - Magneto to Pyro: X2

Third Movie line: Your lack of vision will be your downfall. Emperor Palpatine: Star Wars: Episode 6 (just replace downfall with yours and it'd be complete.)

Again, it seemed the writer seems to like movies as he started his script for this episode by reciting - almost perfectly - movie quotes. Intentional or not, it kinda made me think at first he had no originality in his writing.

It was a good episode however. I'm digging the fact they're finally trying to throw more non main story elements out there.

Renet...who knows
Nobody...ditto
Garbageman...dead in the dump somewhere
Harry and the nanotech scientist...me no no
Cousin Sid-?
The Justice force...
Dr Malignus

Glad to see Leo talking more. And Mikey directly commented on his moodiness... at least more directly than the past two episodes. Hopefully we're getting closer to addressing the issue.

Last week, when I saw the preview for this, I was like "Are you kidding me? ...Winged guys? Who appear out of nowhere, I assume?" But they actually gave them a backstory that goes with the cartoon's continuity. Hurrah!

And I admit I filled in the line for Mikey. "...Suffering..."

Nice animation for this episode, at least for the guys. I'm still not too in love with their human animation (lip sync was kinda off for that Rapptar guy), I did have a shot I loved - namely, that silhouette of Leo, Raph, and Don rebounding off the walls to get to street level. That was wicked awesome.

And as cool as the aerial fight scene was... they shouldn't have been that proficient with those flyin' packs yet. Not unless they practiced the whole way there. *shrug* Ah well, they're the TMNT. They're allowed to rock.

This episode'll be on in about an hour for me. I hope it was worth the wait. I just don't want it to suck cuz then I might lose intrest. I didn't really get the preview fro this episode which really annoyed me. I just felt dumb after I saw the preview. Hopefully when I watch this episode it'll fill in the gaps so I can understand it. At least I don't have to pay too much attenion unlike my dad when he watches Battlestar Galactica. I should probably pay some attention to it if I 'm gonna review it. I just want it to live up to my expectations

I liked this one but not as much as last week's "filler". SO next week seems to be focused on Don. I really hope that the whole Leo thing gets adressed with it's own episode rather than just it kind of dissapears after a couple of episodes.

*blinks* Something just hit me...

Mike: "Leo, Leo.. didnt you learn anything from your Battle Nexus Rematch?"

Theyre HIDING something from us! When was this rematch?!

:o I think this is where Leo lost his chunk of Shell!!!

Raph's Girl
09-24-2005, 11:21 AM
Ok.. phew.. I didn't miss anything... Im wondering what the shell they're talking about... What Battle Nexus Rematch??? *confusion sets in*

Anyways...awesome ep.... what was the bad Avian's name??? It sounded like Methos to me...

Really Kewl to see Raptarr....yay!! Maybe he'll join the Justice Force???

Now as for the city Methos chose to destroy first... I was ready to pack up and leave town.... why of all places did he have to choose Seattle?! :o

But still it's cool that I was inadvertantly saved by the turtles! Yeesh... I hate it when bad guys in shows decide "Hey lets destroy Seattle!"....

Does Seattle suddenly have a bullseye or something??? Last week a Gu'aold System lord wanted to blow up Seattle....this week an evil Avian! :ohwell:

Are we located under “suitable terrain for war” in the Intergalactic Yellow Pages? I can only imagine…

AAUGH! I was so looking forward to the preview for "Sons of the Silent Age"! And all I get is four seconds of absolutely nothing from Mike and Donatello! That has just about ZIP to do with the story (cute though it was)! I guess they didn't want to give anything away..

TMB? Whuzzat? Last I heard, it was from Phantom Menace.. (I'm really bad with acronyms, sorry..)

im very dissapointed and i want the story to start.Hang in there... If next week's follows the comic closely, it'll be a philosophical look at the Turtles' lot in life.. (if they change the story I'll cry..)

SUFFERING! Hate leads to suffering. (I sense much fear in you.) And Leo is suffering, I think.

Mike was my hero this time... Leo's taking his agressions out on his brothers during practice, pushing them really hard. I'm glad Mike stood up to him. Eesh, I'm gonna hide if/when he meets up with Karai again this season. Assuming that Karai's the reason why he's acting this way.. I'm starting to think it's more than that, now. Something about that battle, and his family not being able to defeat the Shredder in a physical showdown, scared him, I think.

Um... Battle Nexus re-match? As in a match after he won last time? Uh.. come again?

Okay, looking at the replies, I see we're all confused about that one. Hmm. Did they rearrange the episodes before they numbered them? If it comes up later in the season, I'll really be confused.

Third Movie line: Your lack of vision will be your downfall. Emperor Palpatine: Star Wars: Episode 6 (just replace downfall with yours and it'd be complete.)Palpatine said "Your faith in your friends is yours".

I did have a shot I loved - namely, that silhouette of Leo, Raph, and Don rebounding off the walls to get to street level. That was wicked awesome.Mmm-hmm. I liked them diving off the roof just before that shot too. Very nice.

I hate it when symbols suddenly appear on a blank wall we've been looking at for three seasons... reverse discontinuity. :p

An alright episode. Hardly meaningless filler as it had solid connections to previous episodes. But why Seattle? I don't want it blown up, I go to school there. :dead:

Why is it such a big deal that a main story arc hasn't started yet? I mean we do have the Leo mood arc going on, and it looks like that is going to last awhile. And anyway, do we really need to see Bishop to know that he's planning some nasty stuff? Besides, the quality of the episodes so far has been good. If you're going to complain, can't you at least wait to they start showing bad episodes?

But that still doesnt explain how Leo lost that chunk of shell. I'm seriously thinking theyre gonna do a flashback ep with Leo and Sp, maybe talking about Leo's lil sneaking off to the Nexus... *shrug* Maybe he wanted to kick mini-UN's arse once and for all...

I thought this episode was pretty average. Though it was good to see Raptarr get more background.

And that "Battle Nexus Rematch" thing, well, all I can say is: I smell a "Tale of the TMNT" coming up.

But there was something about this episode that sparked my intrest.

That is odd. The first comic book/storyboard I made depicted an alien spaceship destroying the city of Seattle. I guess it's some subconscious thing among writers/concept artists. :ohwell:

FYI, the alien spaceship tries to destroy Mt. St. Helens and is blown to smithereens in the ensuing eruption, so it's all good.

I do believe there is going to be a Battle Nexus episode somewhere down the road. Remember in the previews they had with that cheesy song they showed the big purple Hulk Hogan look alike and a scene of the Battle Nexus. I believe he's going to ask Michaelangelo for a rematch (and from what Leo said it sounds like he wins).
What irks me though is that now they appear to be showing episodes out of order forget about the DVD but out of order in the actual show. Where it is crucial to understand story. This is why we need on the Ninja Turtles website so as to avoid confusion.

It was a good episode. Rapptarr was pretty cool (I do agree he looked like a blonde version of Casey Jones). I'm suprised more fangirls aren't swooning over him. :P

But anyways it was a nice tie in to the Monsters Underground/Intlintian arc that started way back in Season 1. Looks like they might finally want to put that puppy to bed. Which is great that they are trying to tie all the loose ends. I hate it when a show forgets these minute details and leaves them up in the air, this show however seems to be really good about tying stuff together. Now if they could only get their act together on out of order episodes...

I like this episode, for the fact that its connection with the Avians rescued it from being too warped out. I hope we get to see Raptar again soon.

I, too, wonder what is the 'Battle Nexus Rematch' Leo brought up... :-?

Next week's preview looks to be full of comedy. Starring Donatello. :P

As much as I don’t really like “superhero” stories, I really liked this one. I felt really bad when Raptarr hurt his wing. Those injuries really hurt! (Like, two people will get that reference.)

I’m sorry, but I fell off the bed laughing at how short sensei’s fur was. Sticking out like that, it was funny! But yay! for improvised pressure points! Since there are no wings on humans (or Splinter and his sons) he’s gotta be reasoning it out. The muscles do run that direction if I’m not mistaken.

I was wondering about the “Battle Nexus Rematch” as well. I wondered if the episodes are out of order.

And I loved Mikey’s “defiling” of the key. I got some good laughs out of this episode.

I think they were maybe taking a jab at someone on staff who's from Seattle. ;)

and the battle nexues rematch was in the real world. fighting ultimate drakko, in the battle nexus. unexpectidly...i thought it was a dumb refrence but whatever.Hmm... that could be it. I couldn't imagine them mentioning something like that, that we haven't seen, otherwise. I really doubt they'd purposefully mess up continuity like that. I wouldn't have called the "Ultimate Drako" business a re-match, but it was definitely something unexpected for them, as Leo said. One of those lines that made perfect sense to whomever wrote it, but confused the heck out of the rest of the world. Except you; congrats. ;)

ThemanthatwouldbeRaphael - well, yes. That's next week's episode, actually. :)

I haven't seen any of hte new episodes yet... (damn you college and xc! )

but i was thinking about the Battle Nexus Rematch...

I doubt they would be showing episodes out of order... Laird must have a reason for the order of the episodes. I had thought that Leo lost a part of his shell from Exdous part II.

Maybe it was just a stupid "blip" on either the VA's or the writer's part?

Maybe it will be shown in a flashback episode? (Although I wouldn't want Leo to win the Battle Nexus...MIkey should be the only one with that honor) It doesn't make sense for them to have a rematch... why would both Mikey and Leo be the battle nexus champion? It doesn't match up in my mind. Somebody mentioned the Ultimate Draco battle.. that makes more sense to me.

Machias Banshee
09-24-2005, 05:47 PM
Hmm... after some thinking about this "rematch" business... here's my theory as to whats gonna be shown...

We're going to have a flashback episode. Maybe Splinter and Leo are having a private talk. Splinter's fed up with Leo's attitude and is talking to him about it. This rematch comes up, and Leo gives us a recap of what happened.

Basically, still in his moody pissed-off mood, he decides this is all the fault of the Ultimate Drako. OR he could be trying to fight off some pent up anger, and decides to go to the Nexus to get some better practice in. He just happens to see the now child-like UN and has a meltdown. Did I mention that he does ALL this WITHOUT Splinter's knowledge?

He fights/attacks the UN, or other figures. His anger gets to him, he does some stupid stuff, and gets his shell handed to him while also damaging his father's reputation at the Nexus as a good friend of the Daimyo. Baaaad Idea.

Splinter gets notified and Leo and him and the Daimyo and the young UN have a lil chat before returning to home. and then Splinter gives Leo the third degree about his actions and whatnot. From there... heh, who knows what 'punishment' Leo could have gotten for acting so brashly.

At the end, Leo starts getting a clue that his attitude's going to get himself into serious trouble, and starts trying his best to adjust it. Before Splinter whups him a good one. :D :P

*edit*

Gah, hold on... I got the quote wrong... *revises idea*

Maybe it was just a stupid "blip" on either the VA's or the writer's part? Don't blame the voice actors... they just read the lines. ;) (In my experience, it's a very rare voice actor who feels like he knows his character enough/cares enough/is bold enough to change an errant line himself... Anthony Daniels [C-3PO] is actually the only one that I've heard of to do so.)

The continuity is so well-planned, I think anything the characters say in reference to continuity is deliberate. So he probably is referring to the "Ultimate Drako" incident. Either that, or the "big purple dude" contested the victory, and called a rematch. ;) Somehow I don't think he'd be doing so this long afterwards. I don't think you can do that, anyway. ;)

Seattle seems to be the target for super villians lately. First on Stargate and now on TMNT. My 2 fave shows and what happens? "Lets blow up Seattle!"... It was a cool episode, better than People's Choice in my opinion. Raptar was pretty cool and so was Methos, but this was hauntingly familiar to a legend/belief from the past(Avian losing his wings and banished to the earth, coincidence I think not). As for the whole jetpacks the TMNT wore they got the hang of it pretty fast dontcha think??

Haven't seen an episode that related to this in a couple years. I guess that's a good thing. I liked that action and it had characters that I didn't know about. The jet packs remineded of the Air Ninja figures. Mephos was quite a knave to that Raptarr guy. The only thing I didn't like was when those three movie quotes were in order. They didn't have to be like that. There was very little dialouge between Raptarr and Mephos. Mikey was funny in this episode. I liked his commentary when he and the boys were on the rooftop when Raptarr fought Mephos. I liked the little flashback of when the Avians were at war and whatnot. That was pretty intrestin'. I didn't get the whole Battle Nexus rematch thing. Why did Baz Hawkins decide to reveal it when we didn't know about? That was an idiotic decision. I really wish this episode was as good as last week's. This was a pretty good episode. I give it a four out of five.

The preview for next week's episode left me puzzled. It didn't really make since. They should just have the previews at least two minutes. The programmin' schedule won't be off by that much. I just want next week's episode to make up for the faults of this one. It didn't have many but it coulda been better. I guess we'll just have to wait and see for the really good episodes.

I went over Leo's “Battle Nexus” line to Mike, wondering if there were some context clues. Nope. But I've come to a few conclusions (don't I always? )

First, I wondered if they skipped an episode. But then I realized that they put so much effort into continuity that they probably wouldn’t do that. They only time they’ve done that before was with The Ultimate Ninja/Reflections, and there were no continuity hiccups so it wasn’t too bad. It’s possible that they decided last minute to change the order, and missed that one line when going over things, but that’s doubtful since it was the start of a conversation and not a throwaway line.

However, I wonder if there’s a missing event between Season 3 and 4. Possibly between People’s Choice and Wing and Prayer. I noticed the gash in Leo’s shell again in this ep. And if something happened during that time, we’ll probably see it in flashback. It seemed to me that Leo was… less introverted in this episode, though still moody, obviously. My instincts say something happened.

But I wanna see, if they’re going to do a flashback explanation, why they’d go through the trouble.

IT WAS AN ALRIGHT EPISODE. I'D PROBABLY WATCH IT TWO MORE TIMES (ONE OF THOSE TIMES BEING ITS RELEASE ON DVD). THERE WAS RELEVANCE WHICH IS ALWAYS GOOD.

LEO'S CONTINUATION: BEFORE THIS EPISODE I FELT THAT HIS ANGER CAME FROM HIM BLAIMING HIMSELF FOR BASICALLY THE FAILURE IN EXODUS. THAT FAILURE BEING THAT THEIR FINAL LINE OF ACTION WAS TO KILL THEM SELVES AND THAT ALL THESE YEARS (HOPE IT BEEN YEARS SINCE EPISODE #1 IN THEIR WORLD) THEY HAVE NEVER DEFEATED THE SHREDDER TO AVIOD SUCH A DECISION. AND IN THE LAST COUPLE OF EPISODES HES BEEN DISCIPLINING HIS BRO'S PRETTY TOUGH. IN THIS EPISODE HE SEEMS TO BE PUSHING THEM HARD. I BET HE FEELS ITS HIS RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE HIS BRO'S BETTER. AND OF COURSE THE KARAI STABBING PROBABLY HURTS HIS PRIDE. HE'S NOT ACUSTOMED TO BEING INJURED IN SUCH A WAY (SCARED).

BATTLE NEXUS REMATCH: I ALWAYS FELT THAT IF THE SERIES CONTINUED ON LONG ENOUGH, THE WRITERS WOULD BE FORCED TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEXUS BATTLE AND I FELT THAT INSTEAD OF ANOTHER FOUR EPISODE ARC, THEY WOULD RATHER MENTION THAT THE BATTLE OCCURED. THIS SEEMS TO BE WHAT THEY DID. THE WRITERS MAY HAVE TO MUCH ORIGINAL WORK (IDEAS) TO AIR, TO DETICATE MORE EPISODES TO NEXUS AGAIN. SOME ONE MENTIONED THAT THE HULK HOGAN PURPLE GUY APEARED IN A PREVIEW. MAYBE THEY DECIDED TO DETICATE ONE EPISODE TO THE NEXUS WHICH IMO WOULD HAVE TO BE A FLASH BACK, BECAUSE LIARD WOULD NOT AIR HIS SHOWS OUT OF ORDER, SO I ASSUME. ANY HOW ARENT THE BATTLE NEXUS TORNAMENTS HELD EVERY 4 YEARS? I DONT REMEBER IF IT WAS HELD EVERY YEAR. CAN SOME ONE PLEASE CLEAR THAT UP FOR ME, I LENT MY NEXUS DVD TO A FRIEND. LEO MENTIONED IN THE 1ST EPISODE OF THE NEXUS THAT SOMETIME BACK SPLINTER LEFT THEM ALONE. HE SAID THIS RIGHT IN THE BEGINING OF THE EP (SO YOU WONT HAVE TO WATCH MUCH) WHEN SPLINTER FINISHED HIS TRAINING. IF IT IS 4 YEARS THEN HAS IT BEEN 4 YEARS IN THEIR WORLD?????

I ALSO LOVED WHEN THE TURTLES JUMPED DOWM TO THE STREETS. I REWINDED LIKE 4 TIMES

But I wanna see, if they’re going to do a flashback explanation, why they’d go through the trouble.I know, it seems like a continuity error, but they're so careful about that... Either the line was referring to something we've already seen (the "Ultimate Drako" thing, although it is kinda iffy that he's referring to that), something got rearranged, or they have a really, really good reason to reveal it later, and risk us going "huh?" in the meantime.

ANY HOW ARENT THE BATTLE NEXUS TORNAMENTS HELD EVERY 4 YEARS?The Battle Nexus Tournament is every three years, I'm pretty sure.

It was an interesting episode.

Anyone think we might have Leo wake up at the end of the season in a 'it was all just a bad dream' kinda thing? Shredder didn't get defeated...no one got hurt...there are no strange aliens duking it out for various supremecies on earth....The season seems to be going at an odd, dream like pace IMO.

Oh well. I love the show. if it goes on for 20 more years I would watch ever Saturday and still be in awe of every minute.

When I saw the preview for this ep, I was dreading it. They're going to introduce a vol.4 character that we have little to no backstory on already? Why? Flying turtles? Why? Then i saw the episode and all of my worries were washed right out the window. Everything was handled great. They even gave raptarr a connection to other epiosdes in the series, so I'd hardly consider it a "filler" episode, it added to the overall story.

OMG, I JUST READ "SONS OF A SILENT AGE" (http://www.ninjaturtles.com/comics/mirage/volume01/28/28.htm) (VOLUME #1 ISSUE # 28 ) AND IF THEY BASE NEXT WEEKS EPISODE ON THIS BOOK TO THE T, THEN WE ARE GONNA SEE ALOT OF REFLECTION. IN THE BOOK IT WAS RALPH THAT WAS REFLECTING, BUT IM ALMOST CERTAIN THAT THEY'LL MAKE LEO THE ONE WHOS REFLECTING. ITS A VERY DEEP ISSUE. I HOPE THEY STICK TO IT. THIS MAYBE THE EPISODE WHERE WE GET TO SEE WHATS WRONG WITH HIM. WE MAY EVEN GET SOME FLASH BACKS. AND OFCORSE WE GET TO SEE THE MERMEN WE SAW IN THIS PAST WEEK EPISODE. I THINK IT'LL BE A VERY HIGH QUALITY EPISODE NEXT WEEK. STAY TUNED.

^ Nice! I forgot about the fish people for a second.

Anyway, I knew they were bringing the volume 4 winged-mutant in this episode, I just couldn't figure the name. Raptarr... I'm pretty sure, without reading this thread, that someone has probably connected the name to Reptar by now. Damn you for stealing my sense of humor!

I loved how they made an episode, that would seem so filler, end up being yet another connection to a past tribulation that the Turtles faced. It's great to see how the show doesn't stray away from any story. Anyway, I'm glad to see that Leo's starting to come to, again. Not that he's become calm, but I think he's ending the whole silent ordeal. I actually liked the silent Leo, it could've lead to one dangerous entity on the battlefield. Oh well, you can still be dangerous and able to speak, as well.

And it's great to see the boys back in the city. I guess it's time we're going to pick up where we left off in season 3. I can't wait to see how New York's been without the Turtles. I'm pretty sure we're going to see some very different things, now.

Anyway, the origin of Raptarr was very interesting. I always wondered how Raptarr came to be. It's great to know that this guy, somehow, still ties to the Turtles. And what a villain he had to face, his own best friend.

All-in-all, I enjoyed this episode, watched it a couple of times straight on the VCR. Good episode.

I love these one-shot episodes. Raptar was cool and REALLY CUTE! :o Doesn't Mikey meet him way later in the comics? He does remind me of Archangel from X-men. It bugs me that no one would notice a city floating above the sky. :ohwell:

Leo actually smiled!! Hurrah!! :D My favorite scene was when Raptar was fighting against the other guy. Mikey wanted to help but didn't know which guy to fight. And then both Leo and Raph said, "Let's just take them both down." at the same time!   That was to cool.

I wish the preview of next weeks show gave more detail. I hope they don't just show Donnie. He's cool and all but I'd rather see all the guys togeter.

Finally got around to seein the ep (recorded it)..and I thought it was very good...i like raptar and that whole "race"...but yea, that rematch thing threw me for a loop... I hope they are not doing these new eps out of order...anyways, overall a good ep!

Something tells me, somehow they're airing episodes out of order. And if they did, they really picked a bad one to follow last week's, seeing as how they have VERY similar plots. All and all, not a very strong episode, but I still enjoyed it. I liked the random refference to Seattle. It reminded me of the The Tick cartoon where Pinapple Pokapo wanted to destroy Hawaii, and then Wyoming. A random state to take over. I don't lnow why, but that busted me up.

BTW, I didn't get to say this, since I've been out for 2 weeks, but I am LOVING the new theme song. It's about time they changed it. Well, reworded and reanimated it, at any rate.

Oh, good. Glad to know I'm not the only geek that looks for these kinds of *wink wink, nudge nudge*'s in an episode. :tlol:

Pretty decent episode. Good story, good fight scenes, good dialogue; I especially liked the small piece where Leonardo and Raph were thinking, and saying, the same thing.

Though, when I saw Donnie's new contraptions, I immediately said to myself, "Oh, good. More toy variants."

Yea, that was pretty funny with Leo and Raph saying the same thing and that same time...

And as far as more variants are concerned, I think the Air Ninjas wave pretty much hit the mark on this episode...of course that line had Air Shredder and Foot as well, but I still think that's what they were possibily basing it off of...
