Because I have an arrangement of the theme song for the piano all memorized in my fingers. I made sure I got in all the major riffs, and chord progressions (though I added a few here and there to give it some more drama) It's pretty good. At least, music majors thought so... Turns heads in the music stores. People come up to me and say, "Hey, I KNOW that song!" Anyways, their compliments have encouraged me and I think I'll transcribe it for anyone who's interested here. But before I waste manuscript paper and precious lead, I need some feedback.

Is anyone interested? Anyone at all?

I don't know how to play the piano  (times like this I wish I could):D .

Anyway, I'd love to hear the piece (new toon I'm assuming?).

Why not recording your performance and letting us listen to it?

You can use www.yousendit.com or www.rapidshare.de to upload your audio file. I hope you have a microphone :)

I play a little.:D

I made a song myself last month and brought it here. Here's the link:

I call it The Undisputed.

How can you used to?:-?

I tend to think that it becomes a sixth sense when you learn it the first time.:ohwell:

It's a weird thing. I have no idea, either. I used to play, then I went to the saxophone and lost my fingering ability somehow. Then I lost my sax ability (NO puns, please) when I tried drums. After that, I lost it all when I stopped practicing all three.

Should I even bother trying guitar? :P

Yeah, that is kind of weird. I guess it's due to the fact that you've played so many instruments, the patterns of your brain gets mixed up with the patterns of said intrument. Like, your head's thinking drums and your fingers are playing piano, but you're actually holding a sax. :|

Then I lost my sax ability (NO puns, please).

Dang! I had a good one, too!

I say go for it, man. I've always wanted to learn guitar. I've got rock beats inside my head as well. Maybe you can give me some tips if you decide to try it out. :D

I'm definitely not like one of my old high school friends. He could play piano, guitar (lead and bass), and drums. I called him The Metal Phil Collins. There are quite a few people out there who are musically diverse, but I just can't wrap my head -- or my fingers -- around it.

I might go for the guitar. If I do, once I become bearable at it :P, then we can form a band and do some songs for people.

Well I stopped taking violin lessons years ago. I can still play the violin. I can still play the clarinet, too--after I warm up my lips. Likewise with drums. I haven't had a piano lesson in years.

You think you can't play. Believe me, all it takes is some practice. There is a portion of your brain that remembers. Just remind it. Music is a very rewarding hobby, KROW. WAY better than any drug out there.:P

Well, I don't have a microphone--I have a cheap voice recorder--and I'm missing the software required to turn recordings into computer-ized form. I have manuscript paper, and I can scan images, so I'll work on the transcribing and see what I can do about the recording. Tho very likely you'll all see the transcription before you hear what it's supposed to sound like.

I play. & I am very interested in any turtle song transcripts you can give! It would be cool to hear you play it 1st, but either way, I would really really appreciate having it! Thanks a bunch! I wish we could have the City at War Leo/Raph one though. ("Darkness falls & the city calls. Time for play, wouldn't have it any other way...") That's my favorite, but Jungle Girl & the sad music throughout SAINW would be nice too. I wish I had an ear for more than the melody. It's so hard to add in the left hand! But, just the fact that you took the time to do the theme song is cool enough!
