I was thinking this could be a really cool thread for us 'dromers to share recipe's with each-other, and ask each-other for cooking advice!:D

Here's a little snack I've been making....

Homemade Low-Fat Potato Chips:

Ingredients:
--Potatoes
--Fat-Free Cooking Spray
--Desired Seasonings (Salt or Old-Bay or Garlic Powder of anything else you think might taste good, that comes in powdered form)

Preperation:
--Preheat Oven to 400 degrees Farenheight (I don't know in celsius).
--Slice potato into thin slices.
--put Aluminum Foil on cookie-sheet and add cooking-spray or oil.
--arrange potato slices IN A SINGLE LAYER on cookie sheet
--spray more oil on top
--sprinkle seasoning on slices
--roast in oven for 20 minutes
--Done

Now this, I could sink my teeth into. I love cooking and baking these days, almost entirely because of Alton Brown.

I've got a couple recipes online, complete with step-by-step pictures: Boatmeal Raisin Cookies (http://www.gbsfood.com/1539627/) and Hot Chocolate Souffle (http://www.gbsfood.com/1532560/)

Here's what I can do:

The amazing recipe for fried egg

Melt butter or something in a frying pan
Carefully crack egg inside pan
Add pepper, salt and whatnot
Fry it.

Enjoy.

I'll post my pancake-recipe later on.

Hehehe... awesome. I'm a large scale cook for UNL, so this'll be fun. (anyone that watched Tommy Lee goes to college, i work in the place with the hole-less swiss cheese :-p)

We made these yesterday for our campus thanksgiving dinner

Oven browned sweet potatoes:

ingredients:
sweet potatoes (as many as you'd like)
olive oil
marhsmellows
brown sugar
butter

equipment:
oven
bowl
cake pan

instructions:
cube sweet potatoes. coat sweet potatoes in olive oil (fill the bowl, and do one potatoe chunk at a time, and bake at 350 for ten minutes. while potatoes are cooking, melt butter and mix brown sugar to create a sauce of sorts. after potatoes cook for ten minutes, remove from oven and pour brown sugar mixture into the cake pan over potatoes, making sure they're covered. return to oven, and cook until light brown. remove from oven, put in serving dish, cover with marshmellows, and cover the serving dish to melt the marshmellow.

just play around with ammounts and cooking times. more sauce is better, as potatoes act like sponges.
