Official site hamstrung by DVD releases

Hello firends and fellow TMNT fans, Jester here.
As many of you may or may not know, the Official TMNT site (www.ninjaturtles.com) has episode synopsies. What you may not know (or have noticed) is that these synopsies have gaps, gaps that mymic the gaps in the DVD releases of the show. For example take the episodes Hunted, H.A.T.E, Nobody's Fool, and New Blood. 2 of these episodes are on DVD 2 of them aren't. 2 of them have full synopsies, 2 of them do not. I don't have to spell it out any plainer than that. With the TMNT DVD releases being out of order, we fans aren't the only ones that are getting shafted (or maybe we're getting shafted twice over...*shrugs*) The OS is as well in that they can't post complete, picture added synopsies to the unreleased episodes. Shame on you 4Kids and Funimation...SHAME!!

:o Makes sense why I am not finding the DVDs in the order I want. Well I do know 1 thing-FOX is known for editting their cartoons to fit their sorry ass timeslot to make room for commericals and their crumy adult shows.

It's true! Remember how cartoons USED to air on FOX in the mornings? What replaced it? was News, no more cartoons on the afternooms either-Now only the Fox Box-Now named 4 Kids TV airs on SAturday. Plus when I used to watch Transformers:Beast Wars on the WB-you got the complete show-the theme song-the show-commerical breaks-theme song. But when it aired on FOX it was edited a bit.

So it's not 4 kids TV's fault-it's those jerks at Fox who decide "Well we don't want alot of cartoons! *whine* we want to edit it...":roll: *Whine* We want more of our adult shows......

and Cartoon Network better put TMNT back on a better time slot- I do watch it at 5AM but I want it back on Toonami/Miguzi whatever but not feeakin 5 AM! What makes that BUTT ugly cartoon "Kids Next Door" so special? and this CArtoon Cartoon Friday-someone tell that Fat Kid he is ugly and needs to go.
and NO fair ,Justice League season 1 used to air for 1 hour. But it was replaced for Cartoon Cartoon Fridays.Then some new anime ooooooohhh but JL didn't deserve their slot back....TMNT didn't deserve their timeslot back....Static Shock didn't deserve it either but some butt ugly cartoon cartoons do.....You know I wanna strangle the programmers >:(

Ok....but I'm talking about the fact the Official Site hasn't posted summerys and screen caps from episodes not on DVD...not Fox's editing and time slots...

This is very interesting, and also disheartening. I am just not understanding the rationale behind 4kids airing and releasing the episodes so completely out of order.

I've noticed some of those same gaps. Have you asked the OS about this?

That's cool, Jester. I was just wondering.

I've been around fandoms long enough to know some of the 'behind the scenes' of several official sites. I gotta say, Ninjaturtles.com is pretty impressive in terms of content and the friendly vibe. The depth (and screencaps) of the episode guide are already mindblowing to me. The gaps do seriously need to be filled, but on the flipside we get almost a play-by-play of the whole 22-minute show.

What a webmaster normally does is wait to be handed "authorized" content to be posted, maybe do some technical editing, and that's about it. It seems to me, upon casual inspection, that the OS webmaster has more clout than many, but webmastering this site must be extremely time consuming. There are multiple parts of the TMNT franchise to track, plus regular updates to write, plus the OS even incorporates a significant amount of fan-contributed content. So I just wonder if it's less a matter of clout, and more a matter of project management.
