TMNT seasons on DVD?

Recently it was announced there will be a DVD release of Justice League season 1. Previously this show has been released in one disk shots, with a few episodes on them. So, with this revelation, is it posible that 4Kids and Funimation will release the TMNT seasons on DVD sets? Have they done season sets for any of their other releases? Is there too much money to be made in 3-5 episode disks of episodes that have no semplence of order? Discuss...
EDIT: Batman Beyond is also being released on DVD in a set...wasn't it also released in small doses?

well they are different companies so one getting a dvd release doesn't mean anything for the turtles.


As far as i know 4K!ds dvd releases are not usuall in the season format, though they might be trying to break it, with Pokemon while we don't have 'seasons' (since japan doesn't have it) they have started to do box sets of single releases, the pokemon advance first 4 volumes were put together on a 3 dvd boxset, nothing special but at least some type of box. they also did this with master quest ending the master quest 'season' in two box sets instead of 10 volume releases.

hopefully for ninja turtls instead of having 4 volumes combined into a box set we actually get seasons, i wouldn't expect them for a while though, but who knows dvds act in mysterious ways, ;)

I don't find paying 10 dollars for a 5 episode DVD to be a rip off. Espcially compared to anime where they charge 20 bucks for a 3-4 episode DVD -_- A box set is usually about 50 bucks and contains 4 to 5 DVDs. In the end the price is the same anyway.

I have no problems with price...my biggest gripe is the fact that they see no need keep them in any sort of show order....:(
The point about "More money to be made" is that they can just release 5 or so episodes at a time as apposed to a one season set right off the bat....but you're right that it's proably about the same price.

Also my biggest complaint, besides the quality control issues with some of the VHS/DVD releases (as in parts of episodes or entire episodes missing from the tape/DVD, even if its supposed to be on there).

I'm sure eventually we'll see season sets of the TMNT...I surely hope so, as opposed to them just collecting the already released volumes together and releasing it that way (which works fine for Season 1, since it was released in order, but from halfway through Season 2 and on its a mess).
