THIS IS A JOKE. PLEASE, IF YOU TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY, YOU NEED TO TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER, AND GO OUTSIDE. WITH THE SUN. IT'S THAT BIG FIREBALL IN THE SKY.that means you, Ai ;)

Mr. Fantastic? Human Torch? The Thing?

Mhmm hm. Seems like something else is going on with these names here. Lets take a quick look...

The Thing: He could be a lot of diffrent things, but he's hard as rock, and often isn't thinking with his head.

Human Torch: He brings a new meaning to the phrase "Total flamer".

Mr. Fantastic: What straight super hero would call himself this? Seriously?

And we can't forget Sue... The Invisible Woman. You never see her with the guys, so she's basicaly not there. She's invisble to them, 'cause they're too infatuated with eachother to notice her.

Discuss.

I could so make a funny joke about the thing, but PG-13 prevents me from doing so.

Also, I've just realized that Mr. Fantastic is a glory hog. I mean, there's the Thing, The invisible woman, the human torch and Reed "Fantastic" Richards. And what's the group's name? Right, it's not "The Invisible Four", "The inflammable Four" or "The orange rock four", it's "The fantastic Four". I bet he feels sooo good, when he hears about their heroic acts, which always include his name.

It's no wonder Doom hates him so much, really.

Awww, isn't that cute? Doom hates Richards because Reed was more popular back in high school. :D

But seriously, I'm just looking at Golden Age heroes' names and the stuff they came up with back then... Jeez, I wonder how those ever got made. Like there's "Merzah the Mystic" who has some undisclosed psionic abilites and a female sidekick as well as a grammatically challenged asian valet. And he hunts Japanese spies in the USA of the 1940s. Or then they had awesome names like "The Fighting Fool"...

If you take a really neutral look at comic books, then you'll find a lot of these funny things, even in today's comics ("Marvel Girl" hehe...)

REALLY take an objective look at Spider-Man's rogues gallery. It's actually all quite ill-conceived. We're just so used to it.

Flash also has a really horrible gallery, probably the worst of any hero. It's not even hidden by subjectivity.

And who came up with the name for Man-Thing? Oh, that's great. Don't get me started about the giant sized issues, which came out as "Gaint Sized Man-Thing".

Mr. Fantastic: What straight super hero would call himself this? Seriously?
...Mr. Fantastic for a start :|

When I first heard of the "Fantastic Four", the first thought that came into my mind was: '...who the hell was idiotic enough to call a band of superheroes THAT?!'. In truth, when you think about it, it's one of the most obscure names for a superteam in existance. Well, the strangest I've heard so far. But I guess we adapt to it

Oh great, now I have a mad disire to rant about the new Spidey costume now
