I got Karai sealed, but I know someone here has pics of Karari loose with Leo. :-) Did you recently buy a Karari?

no i'v just been wondering about the removable armor etc so i could see what it would look like without but any pictures would surfice.

Sorry about the blurred photos (my camera's been dodgy since 'someone' used it during an electric storm:| ) but you get the idea. When you remove the shoulder pads she has a little black nub on each shoulder which look pretty dumb but help it stay in place. Personally I leave on the shoulder pads and the wrist blade because I think she looks better that way.

heh... I leave on the shoulder pads and the wrist blade too. I just think it suits her more than her just being plain-jane. I have her standing next to my Shredder fig on my shelf. They look nice in comparison

Great figure... I'm disappointed her face doesn't have the excellent paint job that we got with April (like the eyes) but this figure is definitely one I must get asap.

I'm not impressed with the quality of the paintjob on mine. The close up I posted above shows that the red color doesn't completely cover the bandana. I also have trouble to get her to properly hold her weapons. Don't get me wrong, I do like her, but those are a couple nitpicks.

I agree. I was so impressed with April's face when I got her so long ago. I figured all the figures were going to show that kind of potential... How wrong I was...

thats because the people who did the line at the begining are no longer working for playmates....thats why things are crappy now.

Man! That totally sucks...
As a financial supporter of the line I do wish I could demand more for my money... But at the same time, I'm so thrilled about having a new line on the market and don't want to give them any reason to cut down production at all...
Just can't win. Now if we could convince all the young children to demand better with us... then we might have a case!

And I mean... just because the original artists aren't there anymore... all they do is sculpt and paint the prototypes....
So if Playmates owns the machine that painted on April's face, then there is no reason why a bunch of people getting fired/leaving the company/quitting would effect whether or not they have the ability to paint the eyeballs similar to that of April.

I know for sure that there was one guy who said the beginning of the new line that the extreme sports turtles were the goofiest the variants would get, and that after them there would only be sensible variant figures. And I remember that guy either left or was fired. I'll try to remember the name. I think he was in charge of the line in general.

"Oh yee of little faith" It's been talked about verious times now you just have to look around to find the information. Atleast the old line didn't have these problems....
btw look at the brite side of things! They could have been cheep and used movie 3 princess mitus's head for karai hahahahahahaha :lol:

I was talking about the quality of the sculpts.
The Paint Applications are done in China at different factory's that is why some figures look better then others if playmates had been a smaller company they would make sure it was taken care of before the figures hit the shelves but there not so they wont
