Oi, you lot! A happy '06 to you all. I'd like to use the opportunity to thank a couple of people (once again, but I like doing that, since people need to feel appreciated).

Jo Dawn: Thank you for being your wonderful self and helping me to get my own thoughts straight on numerous occasions. Have a good '06 and may all your wishes come true.
Ryona: Thank you for just being your self. Although you might never read this, I really appreciate your posts.
Matthew138: Thank you for benig twice as drunk as I usually am. I have now an idol to live up to! I'll come to Texas and drink you under the table, dude!
Anarchistguy: Just do me one favour, rock on. Never get beaten down and never give up! You're doing the right thing.
Voltron: Thank you for all the entertaining stories and the many laughs you've given me. I hope you get into showbiz and become really famous. I'd pay to see you live on stage.
Kid A: Thank you for the party at your place, it was the greatest I've ever been to. Sure, six hours of travelling are long, but I'd do it again.

And yes, I've drunken waaaay too much. You'd expect me to stop after four half-liters of Strongbow cider? Nope, I don't. :D

And now, a song:

"Auf gute Freunde" by Böhse Onkelz

Alles Geschichte,
und ich bin froh, da es so ist.
Oder glaubst Du, es ist schön,
wenn man Scheisse frisst

Alles nur Splitter,
im Treibsand meiner Seele
Nur wenige Momente,
in einem Leben
ich höre himmlisches Gelächter,
wenn ich daran denke wie ich war.
An das Rätsel, das ich lebte,
und den Gott, den ich nicht sah.

"To good friends" by Böhse Onkelz

Buried dreams,
Images from the old days,
of the madness that I lived,
and what they tell me today
I didn't sleep enough, I drank too much,
the pain in my head
was a very familiar feeling.

To good friends
lost love, to old Gods and new goals
to everyday's madness, to what things used to be like.
To the fact that things end. To a new year!

Bloody kisses,
bitter pills,
screwed by fate,
and always very drunk.
I was part of the solution,
yet my biggest problem
I was standing in front of myself,
yet I couldn't see myself.

The grass was greener.
The lines were faster.
The kicks were bigger and the nights were longer.
Just history,
and I'm happy that it's just that.
Or do you think it's nice
to eat just any ****?

These all are just shards,
in the quicksand of my soul.
Just a few moments,
in my life.
I hear heavenly laughter
when I think about what I used to be like.
about the riddle that I lived,
and the God I didn't see.

Allthough I can't agree with everything in this song, I wanted to share it with you.

Thank you.

2005 was tremendously good for me. I joined the Drome, that's one of the reasons why that year was so awesome.

And yesterday/today, I enjoyed the best New Year's Eve party ever. It was in my high school's friends place and included:

* drinking. Lots of drinking. Beer, vodka, wine, martini, rum... and tomato juice of course. Additional beverages had to be purchased to fulfill the demand.
* smoking in the kitchen and remembering the good old times when we were still teenagers.
*huge snowball fighting in front of the house after the midnight. The snowball fight turned to snow-wrestling after a while.
* dancing that turned to playing balloon volleyball on the dancefloor.
* drunk singing and drunk reading William Shakespeare (mostly Macbeth) and Edgar Allan Poe's works... aloud.

The good thing is I have no hangover after all that jazz, as usual.
The bad thing is I slept for 2 hours today. And so my eyes ache.

Yeah, 2006 is going to rock. I can feel it.

Happy New Year to everyone!

Edit: BartAllen - "Starting over" flash movie. (http://www.yahoo.americangreetings.com/display.pd?path=40763&prodnum=3066687) Now I request my ten bucks.

Well, let's see. I got hammered for the hell of it, and can't remember much of last night except the ball drop, which was as fun as ever, but what happened to me this year. Hmmm....

I met my lord Miyamoto in person and discussed Mario Kart with him and possibly gave some insight on things that could be improved in the game. That means everything in the world to me. One of life's shining moments. Such a wonderful person.

I went to E3 in general. E3, the home of 100,000 geeks, video game cooperations kissing you ass, Microsof parties with 1000 free pizzas (I puked I at so much, then I ate more), where you can get spiked 7-Up, where you can see prostitutes swapping corners on the so called "elegant" Hollywood and Vine, and the year where I stepped into the Nintendo Press Conference and Pictochatted with over 2000 people at once.

I just to howl and cackle at Ken Katurugi at his own little Playstation 3 unveiling. A whole section of people started booing him, but they edited it out on tape. Oh well, at least we pissed them off enough to edit it out. Heh.

Had my first visit to a strip club.....3 in fact. May pwnd so hard. Thanks Edios.

Went swimming on the coast of California. Such a beautiful place. Hopefully I'll find the the time visit Frisco this year.

Nintendo went online. You don't know how much that meant to me after all this time. Simple it may be, but to be able to play Mario Kart with you all makes me smile more than most things.

Went and got my picture taken with William Shatner at a Si-Fi convention. Really nice person, and completely full of it.

Closing the year was fun too. Had my first real visit with the procelin god. Fu*k him , and Dick Clark was hosting the ball drop again. I felt bad for him because he had a stroke this year. My dad had one 6 years ago, and hasn't been able to talk at all since. Maybe I'll tell the story later on. Either way, last year didn't feel right without Dick, so seeing him having fought his way back up there to host again, even in a weakened state, brought a tear to my eye. Moments like that make you thankful for the things you still have and take for granted.

Yeah, 2005 was amazing for me. I learned a lot of things, met a lot of people, didn't almost get brained by relitives, and learned to appriciate things more than I did in the past. So many other wonderful things happened last year.

Here's hoping 2006 pwns just as much.

*huggles Anarky* Thanks, babe! I hope everything goes well for you, also. Love ya!

And yes, I do have a list of people to thank, too... but I must work on it a bit more... for it is long!

A Happy and Blessed New Year to everyone. :)

Dang. Before I ever heard of the forum. Still living in Mexico unaware a message board about the old 80's cartoon existed.

I'm surprised BartAllen posted in this thread. Somehow, I didn't realise he joined way back in 2005.

Anyway it's so odd seeing threads from nearly 20 years ago getting bumped. 99% of the people in them are either people I never met or people who I haven't seen dropping a post in a decade or so.
