Unforunately mine's one of them :dead: I've been going to this store for a LONG time, since I was a kid even. It seemed to have been doing well which is odd. 500+ stores will continue to operate. If yours is one of the ones going out I heard they're going to be clearancing everything. I'll try to score as much TMNT stuff as I can if that's the case.

I'll miss this TRU, rest in peace. Or in my case pieces as I'll be picking TRU apart until it's dead.

I think my nearest TRU is closin' cuz I read a newspaper entilted "Toys R'nt Us" about a year ago. Kinda sucks that my favorite toy store is closin' down. I know of three other ones in my area, but I dunno if they're closin' down or not. Heck, I dunno if its worth it to go to those other ones when I don't even live by 'em. I really wish this could be stopped so any Toys R Us store in the United States wouldn't be able to be closed down no matter what. It also sucks for the people that work at the ones that'll be closin' down cuz they'll be losin' they're jobs.

Well there's always been rumors or small closings, but in todays paper was the big deal. It was expected from way back when they said someone bought them out. Just finally happening. Sucks that my TRU is one of the few that's going down. TRU's toy prices really aren't that bad, only 1 buck more than wal-mart/target, same or cheaper than K-Mart (before Sears bought them out, not sure about Sears-mart now) and just a store I would rather support. If you watch videos or read articles on Wal-Mart I guarantee you will never want to shop there again, or you'll wish you could never shop there again and you'll still end up shopping there, but you'll do so in moderation.

Like I stated in my other thread,TRU CEO's decided on those prices. But like my mom said before the TRU warehouse moved from Houston,TX back to Dallas,TX TRU would fall. The problem is this, "KIDS R US" sells awful quality of clothes. If you remember Mogarmry Wards, you knew how bad their clothes quality was. Plus we have Babies R Us-Now Babies R Us has better quality & cutier stuff then Walmart/Target do.

But in the end it's all about location, prices, supply & demand, and as well as conventance. Super Walmarts/Target/Kmart are everywhere. You can get yours toys as well as other stuff 1 in store. Plus these stores are more likely to restock 2 or 3 times a week and sometimes do price matchs or specials.

Also TRU gets greedy, they get what they feel is better not actually what is popular.Like Barbie,Bratz, Star Wars have basixcally 1 huge section of the store for themselves. I want JL and TMNT not Star Wars.....

TRU will alway be in my heart but they just aren't the same as they where years ago. Something inside of me feels werid when I enter a TRU,it's not the same happy feeling.
