Hey all.

Back in 2004 Xmas holiday season, I was living in this apartment area and I loved it because it was close to my favorite video game store, work and friends. It was a good holiday for me. Anyways,

remember that limited edtion Pepsi drink called Holiday Spice? It was very cheap. I think it was like a dollor or 1.25 canadian. Can't remembeder but I fell in love with it. When i was working one time last year around November or December of 2005, I asked the pepsi guy who comes to my work site and deliver pepsi products to the store and I asked him if they were going to bring back the holiday spice drink. He says no. I was a little disapointed..

man, it was good!!!

You should have had a little rum in with your Pepsi Holiday Spice. That made it unbelievable. so tasty.

I do have to say, I got sick of the Holiday Spice flavor really quick. I could only drink about a 12 pack of it (Splitting it with assorted friends/family) Then I didnt want anymore.

As for the other part of Dawn's post there, I think I've tasted only ONE Holiday beer that I've liked. It's exclsuive to Texas though, so I doubt anyone else has ever heard of it.

I can't qoute the beer but I will agree that the hoilday spice tasted like acid in or something...I tried it and it just gave this funky taste. That was the worst drink since Clear Pepsi. Remember Clear Pepsi? Oh man I sipped and said OMG Pepsi you sick basterds!

And, Kittie, I really only tasted ONE holiday beer. But I shall not be suckered into trying again!

...oh who'm I kidding. I probably will be.

A Holiday Beer? What the hell is that? An apple-cinnamon beer?:|

Depends on the holiday. There was THanksgiving ones (mostly, yes, Apple Spice or Pumpkin Spice...something like that. Or just SPICED.) Christmas ones... pretty much any holiday they make a beer for it now, to make more money. Though to be fair, the person gave me the wrong one to try, lol. They DID actually have one picked out for me. But I declined after that first one.

Tried really hard not to make a face after trying it... but I'm sure I failed, hehe.

You mean... from time to time companies produce PUMPKIN or APPLE-flavoured beer on special occasions... and people purchase and drink it?:o

That's beyond my imagination.

Don't knock it 'til you've tried a good one, man. Christmas Ales and seasonal beers have been around for centuries, it's hardly a new invention by the corporations. How do you think the Maibock, Oktoberfest and Winter Lager styles got their name? I guess I was kind of spoiled having spent my Christmas in the company of some great beer in Colorado, where microbrews flow like wine.

Yeah, some seasonal ales absolutely suck. It's a luck of the draw, because it's pretty easy to add far too much spice initially to compensate for the amount you'll lose after secondary racking. More often than not, I love seasonal beers because they're adventurous and it's a damn shame they're only available a few months out of a year. Spiced beers aren't just spiced with the holiday favourites: cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, pumpkin and so forth. I've had beer spiced with juniper, with ginger, with vanilla, even with saffron. Just last month, my husband, brother and I brewed a Belgian Witbier spiced with coriander and orange peel. We find out in a couple weeks just how well it did though.

I'll shut up now, but if anyone wants a good spiced/seasonal beer recommendation, gimme a shout. Very sorry for going off on a tangent.

Okay, back on the topic of Pepsi Holiday Spice. Never had it, but after reading www.pepsispice.com I don't think I'll ever be tempted to. A guy pledged to replace all his liquid consumptions with Pepsi Holiday Spice for 45 days, and documented the experience. It was a harrowing month and a half.

Okay... that holiday beer sounds very, ery creepy. I am annoyed when they have special holiday designs of the bottles because I then have to find the beer again instead of knowing whee it is, but a different beer for holidays? Ewww...

I remember Pepsi holiday spice. I also remember it tasting awful. The only semi-good variation of Pepsi is Cherry Pepsi. That's about it, though. Anything else tastes kind of unnatural. To me, anyway.

Make sure that if I happen to visit Georgia one day, I'll drop in and order that astounding spiced brewski of yours.

Speaking of crappy drinks....What bout those Mountain Dews they came out with? There was 2 Midnight/Black Editions.

Did you know at Sonic Drive Ins you can make Chocolate Coke? OMG DON"T DO THAT! I made 1 cause I saw the sign and decided to sample it and I screamed, Coke N Crap!

Coming soon.....

Pepsi-late
Mocha-cola
Pepsi-cha

That crap they come up with....can we stick to the orignal formulas?
