I think my CD player from my stereo is bigger. It's about the size of an old VHS. But the sound is unmatched, I tell you. My whole stere system is older than I am and it was damn expensive back then (I "inherited" it from my mom, when she got herself this awesome Grundig-thing (http://www.goodday.ch/bilder/inserieren/bilder/ACF1CF.jpg)), so I'm very happy with it.
