has anyone seen this clip before?
it's not for the movie I guess it was for the proposed tmnt cgi tv show....
I have mixed fealings about it...pluss the rob zombie song really isnt that great with it lol...

That was interesting, the quality ain't bad either. Maybe they can scrap Imagi and use these guys hehehe
at least they used the best turtle heh :P
Where does it come from? Definately not the cancelled CGI tv show...
Reminds me of the Mutant Melee game movies, I may be wrong though.

I kinda like it... they were very faithful to the original 1984 comic design. He could use a bit more nose, but other than that, it made me happy. That said, the animation was OK, but not terribly good. The animators weren't conveying enough weight in several places. And it looks a little amateurish overall. But really, even though this quality would never fly for an official movie, it's not too bad.

WHERE DID YOU HEAR THAT THIS IS A TEST SHOT OF THE SHOW. ITS NOT. THIS WAS DONE BY A FAN. I REMEMBER WHEN I SAW IT FOR THE 1ST TIME. THE ONLY THING DONE FOR THE SHOW WAS THE PILOT ON THE TMNT WEBSITE. AND ANY TEST SHOT OF THE PILOT LOOKED LIKE THE TURTLES FROM THE PILOT.
COMING FROM A FAN THE CLIP WAS COOL. LIKE Masked Ninja I ALSO LIKED THE FACT THEY LOOKED LIKE 1ST MIRAGE TURTLES. WHEN I 1ST SAW THIS YEARS AGO I GOT EXCITED BECAUSE I THOUGHT THEY WERE BRINGING THE TURTLES BACK. BUT IT TURNED OUT TO BE FAN WORK. ITS COOL.

So they intended to pitch it? Or maybe just for fun? I knew it wasn't the CGI show they considered because I have that clip on my computer from the main site. It's actually kinda cool, even if the textures are lacking.
Start to finish in 2 weeks... if that includes modelling, I'm a bit impressed. I wonder how many people they had working on it.

and i also like the design on raphs back makes him more like a real red ear slider heheh

Not a small team for such a short clip, but still, two weeks is impressive indeed.

Just in case if anybody can't play the clip, I took a few captures. I dont mind this look, it's their original appearance. The action was eh, slowish, not all flashy like in the new toon.

THE CLIP IS COOL. IT WOULD BE KOOL,TO HAVE A SERIES WHERE THE TURTLES LOOK MORE LIKE THE MIRAGE SERIES, WHERE THEY HAVE NO COLORED BANDANNAS AND ACTUALLY LOOK SCARY (LIKE A MUTATED TURTLE SHOULD LOOK LIKE TO US HUMANS). MAYBE GOING THE SPAWN ROUT AND GETTING ON HBO AND GOING BUCK WILD WITH VIOLENCE. THESE ARE THE DREAMS THIS CLIP CONJURES.
I ALSO LIKE THE DESIGN ON THE SHELL. LOOKS STYLISH TO ME.

Well your joined date says Dec 2003, if you do the math correctly then you've been here just over 2 years and not anywhere close to 3.
On topic: I really like the mirage style. If they had adequate time to do a show or movie with this style i think it could work.

i love the style, but the animation isn't good at all. such a shame the old mirage style isn't being used in the new film.

TAIL SHOT! BWAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!! That shell is weird looking though, there's no scutes!!I noticed that... kinda made me happy that they gave him a tail. And the shell... the fact that it was semi-realistic was cool... but I think it contrasted with the textureless skin. And yeah... as I watch it again, the animation isn't that good at all. Some of the running is OK, but everything else is too evenly spaced (slow in slow out mwahahahaha!) *ahem* And there's little to no motion blur, which kills some of the realism.
Heh. Though it's not that well-done, it still manages to make me happy. Must be the fact that it looks like the early Turtles. :P

Anyway, I like the design. It really does have that original Mirage look about it. But yeah, the fight scenes could be a little better. For some reason, it looked really corny. But the designs of the Mousers are nice, and the environment is pretty dark, just how the Turtles liked it in the comics.
This could've been a good base for that show to start on.

Sorry to bump an old thread but I was browing the icepond video's when i found it and was about to create a new thread when i saw there was an older one.
Its definately interesting and not too bad, the music isn't too bad, i bet they just added it so it wouldn't be so silent, though they could have chose a song not so overused.
i wonder how many more 'proposed' mockups were made before we actually got the 2k3 designs, it definately seems they wanted cgi though, i guess they finally got it with the new movie.
