Hmm...

I have to admit that when I found out about the new show two years ago, I frantically searched for and watched every episode on Foxbox and Cartoon Network. Unfortunately, with me in college, I just haven't had the time or the interest to watch TMNT on Saturdays.

That being said, I read the episode discussions every week to learn what happened. I have to admit that every episode sounds really good to me, and I look forward to seeing the reruns (or season sets if they EVER come out...)

However, as I read the various episode discussions, I get this constant sense of disappointment from the forum members. The theme seems to be "This episode wasn't as good as "_____"" or "(small minor detail) made me annoyed with this episode". I"m just curious.. what happened?

Is the show over the hill? Jumped the shark?

I'm just trying to understand this trend.... So many of you just seem to be constantly disappointed with this season. IMHO, I shouldn't say anything, but I get the feeling that your expectations are set too high, and you expect the show to outdo itself every week.

Forget all that negativity you read. Being disappointed with an ep is kinda like the let down after Christmas, nothing eally ever lives up to the hype.
Besides that though you should watch the shows they're absolutely incredible.
Every episode is worth watching, each gives its own something to the whole series. Nothing is worth missing. Hope this helps some.

And please don't go in expecting pizza eating surfer turtles this is not the 80's. This show holds its own and is absolutly amazing.

Actually, I DO prefer pizza eating surfer Turtles over this version, but you are quite right, the new series is currently a victim of

1. Age, usually when going beyond a certain season number, it starts a lot of "its' close to jump" bollocks, if The Simpsons could go a decade without sucking, so can this. Its' not set in stone a certain show can blow after three years (not even the original TMNT)

2. Hype, I've seen nothing in the past two episodes to justify dissapointment and few flaws, those that exist are too minute.

Oh no.. I'm not bashing the new or the old show at all! I do watch and enjoy the new show... I remember waking up every saturday at 10:00 to watch it, and I would yell at my parents if they bothered me lol.

I just haven't had the time to watch the new season this year. It's a shame, because I want to! I just... didn't. :( I read the episode discussions as a way to keep up with what's happening this season, and it really sounds amazing from what I've heard so far.

In no way am I comparing the two shows. I'm just making an comment on how in many episode discussions I've read, people nitpick what was otherwise a good episode and they clamour at the declining quality of the show... I'm just confused why they feel that way.

Not every episode can be of the same caliber as SAINW (which I remember rushing home after an annoying school-related activity in order to watch it! ahha), yet it seems like people expect the show to match that level every week

Dude, If these people hate the episodes, then that's theyr'e opinion, just draw your own.

Personally, I love this season, alot of good episodes, all of them worth watching.

Just watch and enjoy em, I mean, at least you don't have to put up with hearing about pizza and listening to cowabunga every damn episode like another series we all know.

I personally am not enjoying this season as much as the first and third, but I don't think it's jumped the shark. I'm sure they've got a lot of stuff in store for us and I have enjoyed several episodes very much in the past few months.

I just like overanalyzing and critiquing, especially since this is a business I'd like to get into in some form one day. And really, I think when we have to get so specific and nitpicky with our complaints, it proves it's a good show. ;) If it kept outdoing itself every week that'd be awesome, but I'm aware that can't believably happen.

So yeah. Keep watching it; don't mind me. :P

This show rocks. I just wish the turtles were shown sleeping on their beds, or at least show their beds. Also I want to see them hide in their shells, and be shown occasionally without their bandanas, like they did often in the old show. They are Turtles, so they should act like them in some ways. In this show they are portrayed just like human superheroes, not so much as the true turtles they are. I want to see them duck their heads in their shells to dodge a weapon or punch; use their shells more for stuff. The turtles are portrayed as if they're not even turtles. It would make no difference if their roles were played by any other species, human or animal. Besides this issue, I love this animated series and watch every episode.

You want to get into the animation business too. Cool, so I'm not alone.

I seem to remember an episode or two showing their beds.....Last season maybe?

And as for the heads in the shell thing, not all turtles are capable of doing that. In fact, I assume that they were pond turtles before mutation, and those guys don't pull their heads in. Now if they were box tortoises.....:)

I agree with Mask. This show is FAR from having jumped the shark. It continues to keep me interested and not just because I am a fan of the turtles...some of the other incarnations could not hold my attention for even a season.

This show has been not as good this season, that much i will say but jumped the shark no? It seems to be more of a gradual decrease then one moment when the show suddenly sucked (What I count as Jumping the Shark.) Also this is still one of the best animated shows on TV even is season four has not been as good as the other three.

This season has had some very impressive episodes "I Monster" comes to mind. That's a type of episode where you can easily miss a lot that is going on no matter how many times you see it.
