I just watched the first movie and it said in the turtle power song that raph is the leader of the group. Did they screw up or something?

Yeah... the rap singer prolly though Raph was the main man, when he wasn't. Or tha it ryhmed better. Hrmm...

The song is called Turtle Power, by Partners N'Kryme.

And yes, they did screw up in the song, and rightfully so, as putting Raphael as the leader of the group made the song flow better.

It's almost as if the producer didn't even listen to the song before adding it to the movie's soundtrack.

this was a rapper. not the brightest bunch. and im pretty sure he didnt give a **** about the turtles, and was just in it for the BLING BLING!

you got a point there, but i wonder if there was more to the mistake then just the rapper didn't care, because the rest of the story is fine in the song

Scary part- when I was a cubscout day camp they use to play that song to us and some how make it scout related. It was the same song, they were even playing the tape but some hoe made it into a scout song, THE HORROR

I can relate to that somewhat. At my school, the song was a huge hit. I still remember this one kid coming to school with a boombox on his shoulder with Turtle Power blarin'...

Man, the good ol' days... :lol:

I remember being confused by that line the first time I heard it. But then I got over it and enjoyed the song.

Who cares if he knew what TMNT was or not, he was there to sing the song, which he did a really good job on. :wink:

Splinter's the teacher and they are the students (Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Donatello...make up the team with one other fella, Raphael). He's the leader of the group transformed from the norm by the nuclear goop...

So, in other words, he was saying that SPLINTER, not any of the turtles, was the leader of group. And, in fact, he is in a way.

That song is cool...I'd like to get one of those soundtracks sometime. Ebay would probably yield something.... :wink:

Yeah, I heard that lyric in the song about Raphael being the leader and I actually wondered if he was considered that in the movie. But that was obviously a mistake yeah.
