Synopsis:

Something is growing and spreading in the NYC sewers and waterways. The remnants of Bishop’s ‘aliens’ have infected various animals, mutating them into horrible beasts ravenous for anything that gets in their way… including Turtles.

Greetings all,

Unfortunately I've come down with a really nasty cold, so this week's teaser is going to be rather short.

We saw weeks before how this strange 'muck' from the faked Alien invasion ended up making its way down into the sewers. Now we get to see the results of this.

IS this going to be the debut of the infamous rumored "GameraDon"? If so, how long is this going to affect him, both physically and emotionally? What will his family do in reaction to what happens?

And if this Isn't the infamous mutation, then How Does this episode interrelate to the past episodes concerning our favorite mutant family? And what of the Foot who decimated their Lair? Are the PDs or even Baxter make an appearance in this?

The Donny mutation was definitely set up...
Finally we saw how Bishop came to who and what he is. No wonder he is so cranky all the time. His skin was literally crawling and he gets a new body every now and again. SO weird.
This eppy felt kinda short or something, it was a lot of info to get.
Didn't that cockaroach look like someone? The garbage man? or is that just me?

I thought the electrician was probably who that was but I couldn't remember his face too well after the fact. I will have to watch my tape.

Dah...overslept. I saw the VERY end. I did see Donnie get hit by that bug, and even though I didn't see any of the episode, I think it is safe to assume that this is the start for whatever will happen in the 100th episode when he mutates some more. Also, whats the deal with Bishop that you were talking about, Tinuvielsdreams?

Yes, but he had been the electrician before he mutated. When he first showed up he growled something about the splice he was about to work on before the mutants attacked.

I didn't have high expectations for this one, but I was surprised with my satisfaction. Here's the points I liked:

1) Bishop's background/motive. Sure, he's creepy and unethical to the point of evil... but at least we know his reason for doing what he does. I wonder if the aliens' experiments on him are part of what caused his longevity... as Bishop wouldn't have had the technology to "alter" himself until his normal lifespan would have run out.

2) Brotherly banter. The Turtles were just kinda hanging out in the sewers and interacting naturally. :D

3) Leo's part was very laid-back! This seemed to be more of a Raph epsiode, with Don sharing a little bit of the spotlight.

4) FINALLY we see why Don is probably going to get Gamera-fied and the others aren't... it's not contact with the ooze on the outside so much...they've all had that. Don got a nice little slash, and that's probably where this is gonna enter his system. And five episodes for them to build up to his mutation? Now THAT's the TMNT we know and love!

Notes:

> Animation was up to par. Nothing absolutely stupendous, but nothing jumped out as really bad to me. Raph's first kick in the fight is the only thing I can pick out. For a second I was wondering if magic was involved or something. But no, just a slightly-too-big flash indicating the impact. Truly nothing to complain about.

> I miss Leatherhead. And I wonder how Casey is figuring into this. If the Turtles are avoiding their human friends, that's understandable. After all, Karai found and contacted April... the Turtles probably don't want to create more trouble than necessary for them.

Very very VERY cool episode. I love stuff that go bump in the night. I guess the strength of the show is NOT in it's character design, but I can deal with it.

You know, I don't think we know what's really up with Bishop. How is he able to survive for this long? Wasn't he alive since the civil war? Where'd he get the technology to transfer his mind into another body for so long? Remember the episode where Bishop was impaled by a hook? He's definitely not 100% human cause he walked away from that.

Anyone thought it was funny how scared Stockman was in the sewers? The guy's afraid of being eaten... He's a freaking robot for crying-out-loud. I doubt the monsters find him very tasty. He's way more heavily armed compared to the soldiers.

^ Oh yeah... that reminds me of a point I forgot to make. Did anyone else think that was sick how Bishop's body essentially melted when he was zapped out of it? :dead:

I don't know why, but I love interaction between the bad guys. For the viewers it's like "Hey, we root for the good guys, so now we get to spy for them and see what the bad guys are up to." XD

It's also great to see interaction between all four turtles again. *sighs happily* Though in reference to the bedrooms, I'm a little confused. Do the turtles have that entire castle, or just the lower part? I'd assumed it was the lower, but I could be wrong. Poor Mikey with a small room, but behave yourself and let the oldest have the biggest room. XD That's the way things should be.

I liked the action in this eppy too, though I agree with Raph. Bugs. Why'd it have to be bugs. *shudders* Ick. With the ticks I was all 'Ew...Ticks. I'm NEVER going in the woods again!' *scrambles to hide in a bug free corner under a newspaper*

And Yay! Gamera Donnie is now just a few episodes away! Four or five more? *takes a deep breath and reapeats over and over "I can wait that long." I think the animators really went out of the way to show Donnie getting nicked by that bug. It was like slow motion or something, and then the 'omgz my leg!' I'm not complaining though.

As for the preview for next week. Is April's Uncle Auggie really Sean Connery? o_o

There have been a lot of posts since you asked this but if they all didn't clear it up then... at the beginning of the ep. it showed Bishop from what seemed like the civil war maybe. (See stege-chan pic lol)
Bishop was abducted by aliens and they did their experimenting and whatever they did to him gave him the ability to live a for a long time but it seems like he has to switchbodies every now and again because he starts to mutate further? (What I think, not positive) or something like that . It also made him very disturbed and obssessed with stopping alien invaders. I would be too though. Anyway in the present day part of the eppy it kinda looked like he had worms crawling uder his skin, and then Stockman who is still around of course helped him switch bodies. His mind went to a new bishop clone and his old one melted literally! Yeah Masked Ninja Ewww and that was pretty gross he just melted into a skeleton. They like to test how far they can go huh.
There definitely are some things that need to be clarified. Where did bishop get the tech. How long must it have taken and why did he last so long without it?


It is so refreshing to have everyone togther. I laughed when that bug came at Leo and he just slides to the side. He is like super Leo...lol
I think gamera don will be something, I can"t believe he didn't test that sting or something though, just cause it would be a don thing to do.

Killer I can't wait to see Don go all Gamera on everyone! Awesome episode, I love the bug juice. And the cockaroach guy didn't look to bad. The toy version looked awful. Baxter in a new body finially! Well soon maybe. I wonder how Bishop got like that. I men the aliens sure but he's been alive for a looong time O_O

Great episode! We finally know Bishop's origin.... mostly. It was cool in a very creepy way when they gave him a new body and his old body decomposed to a skeleton. I wonder what Baxter's new body will look like. Maybe a clone of how he looked in the very early episodes of season 1? All those mutants were awesome. Next week theres mutant lizards!:D It looks like that hunter that went after LeatherHead might be back. I really hope LeatherHead returns as well. It would be sweet if this all led up to a big battle of the TMNT VS Bishop at his base.

Edit: The Foot Ninja are still looking for the turtles!

It was REALLY nasty to see Bishop's old body melt likre that. But it was really nice to see more of his origin. Guy's been crazy since the Battle of New Orleans? That's alot of years of crazy...

The turtles had to fight GIANT COCKROACHES. :tcouch: Cockroaches scare the bajeezus out of me and I am embarassed to say that I could not watch that part of the show. Damned irrational phobias

I haven't read all the posts yet, so forgive me if I repeat something someone else has said..

Well... that was... interesting. Very interesting.

I kind of figured that since the toy of that mutant/guy was based on that little boy who won the contest (a dubious honor), that the character model would look like him also. (But now I think the contest was too late for them to have based the design on him; I don't know when it was held, but they do character designs long before we see them on screen) But it almost wasn't worth having the contest, especially since action figure purists will want the toy to look like the guy in the show... *shrug* It makes the little boy happy, I guess, and I'm pretty sure the market will cater to children before collectors. It's just kinda weird.

Wow, Bishop was a soldier in the Civil War... that at least explains how old he is. And he was abducted by aliens... explains his animosity toward them (I wonder if he was traumatized by General Blanque's men... humans, but aliens also? Dunno, maybe their ancestors were abducted from Earth by aliens too.. *shrug*)

I was a bit surprised by the body melting/skeleton evaporating imagery... kind of strong for television. (Kind of reminds me of Rasputin's transformation at the beginning of "Anastasia", if you've seen it... I expect that for cinema animation, but not TV so much)

Re the alien ooze: Bishop's in troouuubllle.....

Don getting stung/grazed... I forsee much weirdness. :p

I thought it was funny they retained the ticks' nature... they tend to hang on high things, and drop down onto their prey from above.

I remember we were kind of pouting because they didn't mention Raph's bug-phobia in "Time Travails", but I'm glad they did here, at least.

The electricians made the off-hand comments of giant Crocodiles and Turtles in the sewers... :lol:

They're not my thing at all, but I do think he's done a great job with the "normal" cast (er, as opposed to the huge, slavering beasts), and adapting characters from the comics. The depressing thing is, he's younger than me by two years, and I'm still just doing character design for a hobby, and he's up on national television.. *sniffle*

Nice episode. We got some insight into Bishop's past, someforshadowing of future events, and we meet a new enemy for the TMNT at the end...MUTA PIGEON! More powerfull than the Triceratons, more craftier than Bishop, more evil than the Shredder.

Great episode! I get scared to easily and the scenes when the sewer worker and the guy at the resturant getting attacked were freaky. I am so going to have nightmares!!! I hope Don finds a way to change them back before he eventually transforms. It sucks that the guys have tostart over on a new lair.Even though its just a toon, I'd hate to experience losing my home and personal belongings. Poor guys.:cry: . ecMike making the crack that Leo should have the smallest room since all he does is meditate and be boring was funny. The preview for next weeks episode was not very informative but interesting. Was the "outdoorsey guy" April's uncle August? It sure looked like him. Hmmm giant talking lizards. Do you think they'd dare intro Mona Lisa or Mondo Gecko:evilgrin: .....Nah!

Its Was A Good Episode. I Didn't Expect Much From This Episode But It Sure Delivered. Cool To See The Minnetonka Mutant, He Actually Fit Well In The Ep. This Episode Seemed Well Paced And I'm Glad Its A Continuation Next Week.

The Fight Scenes Were Animated Very Good. I Just Wish We Got Almost Perfect Animation On A Consistent Bases. Also I'd Rather Have Seen This Type Of Animation In Last Weeks Episode (which Was Animated Horribly), When Leo Fought Karia Instead Of It Against Insects.

(at least not a historian of real world events ;)) This was my "advanced reasoning" that any American war taking place in the 1800's must therefore be the Civil War. :p Now I have to go do research. :p

(The Battle of the Alamo isn't included in my reasoning, of course... I do live in the same city, after all, I'm not allowed to forget that... and Texas was a republic at the time :p)

Best part of the episode was that someone finally referenced LEATHERHEAD. Sure we didn't get to see him but at least the electrician referenced him. That means at least the writers haven't completely forgotten his existence. This brings me hope that we'll get to see him before fast forward happens.

No, I mean his mutant bugs and monsters just don't really do much for me. They don't come off as scary, creepy or cool. They just feels so rushed and lame.

And people, don't take my civil war comment seriously, cause I thought he was around during one of the older episodes. Do you remember a flash back with Bishop as he was standing behind a president (NOT the present day one) in the alien episode. Or was it some other episode. I know there was an episode like that where we find out Bishop's much older than we though. This episode goes back even further.

Loved the Minitonka mutant tie-in but it's odd how it was someone else and not the little boy it was supposed to be.....I bet he was ticked off....I honestly think it was better as the worker it was really allot more creepy....infact this entire episode was pretty nasty and creepy!
I loved Bishops body change man Baxter is really freakin' smart I can't wait till we see Baxter get his new human body....am I the only one who thinks it's a bit silly that he wants on though? I mean that robot body is allot bigger and better than his human body could ever be well I guess not though if he makes himself one like Bishops....btw am I the only one who's freaked out by Bishops skin crawling? it sure made mine crawl lol.....
I also loved the sewer repair man talking about alligators in the sewers I think perhaps maybe it's a hint that we will be seeing Leatherhead again soon I hope anyway...

And I can see now that Bishop was Human, course we already know he's inhuman due to him having inhuman abilities.

Looks like we have a new mutant who's half man and roach. A lot of old show reference there when you get in contact with Mutagen and an animal you become one in all.

Hence my evil plan has come to fruition. :D Go off Aska, go off and give us wonderful historical tidbits on the War of 1812 and how it ties into the TMNT universe. Give us your scientific reasoning and other...things. Cause me? I's just feelin' lazeh. :lol:

Well here are my thoughts on the episode. Another good to be sure a little better than last week. I'm liking this nice and calm Leo. It's so much better, I practically feel the release of tension (hopes Karai finds the same peace someday).

I felt really bad for the electric worker. Grr...another victim of Bishop's schemes. :evil: I hope we haven't seen the last of him (or T95871) they really need to help those guys. :(

And we FINALLY get to see why Don turns into the Gamera.

I think the best part though is understanding just where exactly Bishop is coming from. Wow that was so cool how he was abducted during the War of 1812. Guess he got his revenge as that was the EXACT same alien. And now we see a little more fully explained just how Bishop is more than just a man. I'm thinking he IS part alien now. That little skit in the beginning with him in the beginning all but said it.

so how do you know this kid is designing the characters? I could have sworn it was Michael Dooney? but hey you never know lol.
I thought it was strange that if he is the designer of the characters there not shown or even mentioned on his site at all? Interesting though....

Baxter told Bishop that his new body was... what did he say... stronger and faster? His old body was already super strong and fast! He's probably waaay better than Shredder now (with the exception of Shredder's Exodus and SAINW suits).

Edit: I also wondered if the transformation would go wrong and Bishop's soul would be stuck inside the machine, hehe. Lucky for Bishop it worked out good.

Edit 2: Since he can transport his soul into any body, and Bishop has the ability to create souless bodies, and he has turtle and rat DNA in a tube somewhere..... He could make himself a turtle or rat body.

Oh man, I really liked this episode! A lot of crazy things happened... for one, COCKROACHES THE SIZE OF GOLIATH! I liked how this episode stemmed from a past episode, so no filler episode right here! And it was nice to see the team get back in action, since we haven't seen much of that for a while! And it seems everything is definitely back to normal, now that Leo would actually RUN from the bugs.

And it's great to see Raph back to his old hotheaded self, again, rather than taking command. I always figured Leo was more of a leader than Raph, always has been and always will! And the fight scenes were nice! And it's a good thing we see the cause of Don and his mutation into Gamera-Don.

Also, it's nice to see a piece of Bishop's origin. And everyone may be freaked out by his old body dematerializing, but I thought that was pretty schweet! Heh, and his decaying bones right on the table.... cool! It's about time they put Bishop back into the picture. I can see he's really going to step up, in the future, as the main threat to the Turtles!

Ok this ep was a nice start to the mutants and monsters thing. We learned alot about Bishop in this ep. The original body was born in the mid/late 1700's and he faught at the Battle of New Orleans in January 1815 where he was abducted by aliens. So now I have a family connection to Bishop since one of my ancestors (My great-great-great Grandpa John Pace) faught and died there! Freaky! :o And from the look of his uniform it seems that Bishop had the rank of General.

Those mutants were gah...rats, birds, fish, archnids, and insects. No surprise that the only Semi-intelligent one was a roach since they're an ancient species.

But the cut Don got from the Roach man..IMO this is what causes him to mutate into Gameradon.

Anyways...Back to Bishop...him being abducted by the Asgards/Grey's and using cloning tech to transfer his mind into a clone is VERY similar to the Asgards on Stargate. An entire race of clones who transfer their minds to new bodies in a similar fashion. And when Bishop's old body just melted? Freaky!

For the low expectations I had for this episode, I'm glad to say I really liked it. Bishop's "origin" really progresses the story, we now have 6 episodes of build up from Donnie's wound to "Gamera-Don," we now have the back story for the whole "Mutants and Monsters" thing. Hey, anyone think that maybe LH will become a accelerated mutant, like Donnie, and the others and April will have to help them both? (That was my way of grasping at straws for a return of LH...and where the shell is Casey?)

I Wonder if Raph's "Were the only mutants in this town!" was a refrence to Laird's disdane for the "freak of the week" aspect of the Old Toon, and maybe a refrence to his feelings for this new arc?

I liked this episode a lot. Except for the Turtles fighting the creatures, it was a dialogue driven, plot setup episode. I loved all the sci-fi stuff! Did you guys notice when Bishop talked to Stockman in the sewers, it was a holgram a-la Star Wars? That was a cool touch. The only thing about this episode I wish they would of touched base on was April and Casey's reaction to Karai manhandling the lair. Maybe they are trying to stay away from them, fearing Karai going after them. Anyway, I'll comment on this episode more later. Tired now. Need sleep. Looking forward to next weekend's episode. Uncle Augie comes back! Woo!!!

This episode was better than last week's and it had more action. I was glad to see Bishop and Baxter Stockman return cuz I had a feelin' they'd show up. Those mutant bugs reminded me of the ones in Starship Troopers even though I haven't seen the movie. I liked how the mutant bugs and monsters mutated from the aliens DNA that the Turtles defeated a couple episodes back. The explanation of it was pretty straightforward so I didn't get confused by it. That was intrestin' to see Bishop in the War of 1812 cuz I learned about that in eighth grade and I barely remember any of it. Heck, I don't even know who was in the war or why it happended. But I remember some guy named Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson. Correct me if I'm wrong about that.

Anyways...enough with the rambling. That was neat to see Bishop's origin and I liked how the Turtles looked around to fight the bugs. I just hope Don's nick leads up to his next mutation. I can hardly wait for that. I wonder what the Turtles'll do when they find out about that mutated electrician dude gettin' blasted by the thugs who came along with Baxter.

I liked the action and how this episode was paced. The dialogue was also good. I give this episode a five out of five even though the preview for next week's was a little weak. It coulda been more infromative, but I won't subtract points for that. I hope Leatherhead'll show up next week cuz that Lizard King character makes me think he will.

so how do you know this kid is designing the characters? I could have sworn it was Michael Dooney? but hey you never know lol.I'm fairly sure Dooney did the original drawings for the new Turtles (and possibly some other central characters), and Adrian Barrios did his character designs based on those drawings. That's why the promo art for the new show (esp. Dooney's, not the other promo artists so much) is so different from what you see on-screen; the show design is an adaptation, rather than a direct copy.

As for how I found the site, I looked up his name in the credits, and did a search. I didn't get that site directly, but he's a member of an artist portfolio page I found through the search (www.arghstudios.com), and I got the link through that (er, somewhere on there, LOL). I've seen several of his posts in the forum there (he goes by LuckyPants, and he posts some of his work there too), and I saw a few references to him working on TMNT. (LOL... I was just poking around there, and there are several other TMNT artists on there. I've seen a backgrounder, and Khary Randolph, one of the promo art guys, and some others. Do a search on Turtles or TMNT, you might find some artwork goodies... and you get the rare chance to see the artists themselves gripe about what they did wrong on those drawings you see all the time :)). Stylistically, it's definitely the same guy; his monster designs, especially, are very distinct, with lots of insect appendages (especially paired feelers/claws above the critters' heads), mouths with improbable amounts of teeth, and weird bent angles. Lots of armor and tech, drawings with sharp angles, and I see a lot of characters that look way too much like some of the TMNT show designs to be coincidence (see how much the robot in this post (http://www.arghstudios.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=7071#7071) has elements like Baxter's current body, for instance), and even the way the characters stand... um, it's him, okay? ;)

I thought it was strange that if he is the designer of the characters there not shown or even mentioned on his site at all? Interesting though....Yeah, I'm not sure why. But he seems to be the type of artist that says "Here's my artwork, it doesn't matter where it came from, it's my artwork!" :). He doesn't really have much info on any of his drawings or his projects. Not even a resume. *shrug* You'll find more info on the Argh! Studios Forums..

this was a good episode, very creepy and chilling. Loved the way the ticks dropped on the floor the way they did. the animation was great and the scenes with decaying body of Bishop made me raise an eyebrow. It was pretty graphic, and very ballsey of a cartoon. I particulary enjoyed the Bishop/Baxter interaction. They do seem to have a better working relationship with one another than Baxter did with Shredder. Ans it seems that Bishop actually values Baxter, which was cool. By the way Bishop is such a badass! I loved when Baxter was sturtering out excuses about theories, and Bishop tells him in that very calm, cold voice "give me your favorite", was so great!

I for one was felt very sorry for Donatello in this episode, he seems to have taken the loss of his lab and findings very hard. My heart went out to him. I thought Raphael's comment about him being cranky in the beginning was very astute. This was really a Donatello episode. This guy is forever getting the short end of the stick. I have a feeling that when he does go all monster like, its going to be a big deal, because he is the only one who has the know how to reverce things like that and the turtles are going to be out of the loop. I think this is where Leatherhead will make his appearance again, to help Donatello. Since he is the only one that has the know how to help him.

Oh, and it was nice to see Leonardo take a back seat in this eppy. And Reaphael had me on the floor laughing, for some reason, Especially with his "Yeah, Thats right! You better run away!" to that bug. And is it me or t=did that shot of the sewer gate with the water trickling out of its openings remind you of the classic cartoons famous sewer gate opening?

I loved this episode. I blame my first animation teacher, who corrupted me with his filthy animations and love of blood and gore... No, really:P -- the animation quality this time around was excellent, but didn't whack us over the head with its excellence. Know what I mean? No? Eh, screw it. I'll explain later.

Man, there were so many things that went RIGHT in this episode, besides the animation... from storyboards to colors/shadow to sound FX, to dialogue... there's too much, and unfortunately I don't have time tonight to give a comprehensive analysis, so I'll just raise a few questions that popped into my mind when I saw the ep:

1) So now we know the truth about Bishop... or not really. He's probably not an alien, thankfully. But I wonder, before modern 20th century technology, just how did Bishop stay alive for so long?:-?

2) Didn't Raph say, and I quote "Aw... I like it when they go POP!!" (aliens among us) He was referring to the exploding aliens. Apparently, he liked the ooze. Why then did he not like ooze this episode?:-?

3) Heheh... Any bright ideas as to where Don's gonna mutate first?:evilgrin: I can just see it... a casual morning, Don groggily walks into the kitchen for a bowl of cereal. Raph and Mike are there.

Agreed, Fled. I thought everything just kinda flowed naturally. The last two eps (especially last week's) knew they were supposed to be really good but got overdramatic. But the dialogue sounded normal and everything just made sense. Yes.

My mouth dropped when Bishop melted. I was like, "No way... they did NOT just do that." This show likes to push their limits. :)

The little metal things on Bishop's body would indicate that this body is also a clone... but I wonder if the aliens' experiments endowed him with an unnaturally long life... until he was able to come up with the technology to do that. Or maybe some alien intelligence accidentally was transferred to him. I dunno. But that background fits him very well... and also adds a bit of pity for the "good intentions gone wrong," rather like Karai.

Oh man oh man oh man! This ep was exemplary in the normal way that makes this show great (and kind of makes me hyper). They say God is in the details, and there were details a-plenty for my tastes. The story-moving transitions were beautiful. And the mood was so effectively creepy! Love it. I was hiding under my blankie. (Aww... poor Mikey.)

The Baxter-Bishop interaction was RICH. Bishop really is a badass, and I loves me some egocentric Baxter! I inserted my own maniacal laughter while the "consciousness" of Bishop was being transferred over to the new clone. The melting body was awesome, though its coloration was odd. Bishop, why art thou blue? :o (Other than because Smurfs are evil and unnatural things.)

The way Baxter blabbers through some excuses before he plainly answered "I don't know" was classic. In fact every Baxter line was classic (and well-delivered). For me, this helped juxtapose Baxter and Donnie. Donnie, for his part, got to mention the many complex projects he had going on in his homebuilt lab. The two are probably equally brilliant scientists, but who do you want to see eaten by giant bugs?

Donatello and Baxter are on opposite ends of the spectrum in so many ways, especially funding! Man, Donnie's digging through the trash for his gizmos, and look at the high-tech thingamajiggers Bishop has! Now really, people, how can you justify a VR interface to keep track of a few teams on the ground? That's MY tax money you're wasting! :x Give it back! Give... oh... right... cartoon... alien technology.... *ahem*

I was cheesin' over the Return of the DUFFLEBAG. I don't know why, but Donnie's dufflebag rocks. I think the last time we saw it was closer to the last time the clan had to move, so perhaps there's some subliminal connection. Maybe Don will be carrying it again to collect stuff they will need for the lair? Maybe that's really why he was carrying it in the first place, when I thought it was to carry pigeon puppets. Silly me. Oh... there was a pigeon in the ep! See? Connection! :goofygri: Or not.

The guys' interaction was also great in this ep. Did anyone notice that Don placed his hand on the dumpster lid even before Leo gave the command to disappear? Nice detail; the Green Machine is well-oiled. (Yes, I noticed because I was looking at the dufflebag... what do you want from me?!) Leo getting teased about the knowledge of the Ancient One was fantastic. Hmm... it just occurred to me that perhaps he will be imparting his newfound knowledge to his brothers... maybe even his sensei. Maybe he's started already. I wonder how that would go?

The only thing that irked me in this ep was how Raph had to 'save' both Mike and Don by pushing them out of the way of the monstrous arthropods. Come on guys, I know you're distracted by losing your home and all your stuff, but you're still ninja! Splinter would be most displeased!

My new favorite completely random thing to say is "Look at the eyes!" Why did Stockman say that? Yeah they were glowy eyes, but so what? Seemed like such a random doomsday thing to say. :D ETA: Maybe they put a glowy-eyed gene in so they could distinguish from wildtype. hahaha... ha.

I may as well add that my thoughts on Don's ability to run a sample on cobbled-together computer equipment. Seems he was able to salvage something from his old lab; he did for some reason have his PDA or access to its contents. It would also make sense if Don had some things at a remote site. I betcha he and April are networked up so he can access some of their custom programs and data.

January 8th, 1815 at the Battle of New Orleans. Altho the battle wasn't really IN New Orleans itself but in Chalmette, Louisiana outside New Orleans. Bishop's uniform was that of an American Colonel or Major General.

References to the great state of New Jersey are not uncommon in NYC, since they can see each other across the water. In fact, references to NJ are not uncommon on much of the east coast. I've heard that same phrase spoken aloud before. So don't sweat it.

I don't think we've seen the last of Minatonka though cause Baxter captured him in the episode and was taking him back to Bishop.
So he very well could end up looking like that at some point as they experiment on him...and man if they show that *eep* I feel sorry for him seriously he's the only mutant I ever really felt sorry for besides mutagen man in the old cartoon...

I really liked this ep! It made me almost want to go back and watch that year and a half I missed. Maybe I'll start buying the DVD's again.

I liked how Don was all about trying to TALK to the human/bug guy... Heh.

Leo gets credit for at least trying participate in the conversation while Don's in eureka! mode. Dude, maybe it's because I'm a science geek, but it totally cracked me up when Leo said that.


I, also, enjoyed that. His trying to make conversation with Don, heh.

I think allot of it feeling like the old toon had to do with the way everyone acted the way things moved and all the crazy mutant bugs.
It was quite a nice change for once in the show

I didn't get that at ALL. I never once thought about the old toon watching this.

And for that, I'm glad. I loved the old toon... but, uh... I don't wanna think about it during THIS show. Man, now I AM gonna think about it now during this ep. *kicks pebble*

Either way, I enjoyed it for being the 'new show'. A little dark this time, with the talk of cloning and destroying the evidence and all that. :) Excellent.

I think the last time we saw it was closer to the last time the clan had to move, so perhaps there's some subliminal connection. Maybe Don will be carrying it again to collect stuff they will need for the lair? Maybe that's really why he was carrying it in the first place, when I thought it was to carry pigeon puppets. Silly me. LOL. I'm pretty sure that's the same bag he always carries when he needs a bag, which seems to be pretty often. He was toting it along at various points all the way up to Exodus, and after, you know. :)

Did anyone else notice that they reused the "I don't think they heard you in Jersey" line? Nothing important, just a little interesting tidbit.Yeah, but it kind of annoyed me. "What, you think just because that was two seasons ago that I forgot that line?" :p

For those that don't know: It was originally used in the very first episode, where Raph starts bashing a truck, and Mikey uses that exact same line in response to the loud noise Raph was causing, when they were supposed to be silent.Oh! I was thinking of a variation on it, then, when Mike had to share Raph's room, and he commented that Raph was snoring so loud, and people were trying to sleep in Jersey (er, or something like that).

Yeah, I kinda cringed when they did that... but it's not entirely unbelievable. Maybe it's a phrase they all use regularly? I have a few of those myself.A little tacky for a TV show, but yes, believable in the real world. Though I'd think Leo or Don would wish they'd stop talking about Jersey all the time and just move there or something, and quit bugging them. :p

This episode was great the return of the bugs fighting the turtles. love the fight. Was the mutant bug that human that caled that guy chicken for not going in the sewer. But he was so cool.
