If you had to pick between Splinter or Shredder who would it be? Why?

I'd pick Splinter. Shredder looks like the kind of father who would beat me with a belt... On the other hand, I couldn't get in trouble for being bad... *thinks*
I'd still go with Splinter. I'm sure he'd give me emotional support... something that I doubt I'd ever get from Shredder.

I voted Splinter too. He's wise and good, so one could learn a lot from him.

Downside is you can't bring your friends home and say "Meet my dad" :D

It's kind of wierd. I alwas refer to him as MASTER Splinter. Rarley just Splinter.

I'm gonna go with Shredder on this one. As a kid, I'd have loved to be the object of everyone's jealousy when my dad comes to pick me up from school in full body armor.

Nobody would mess with me at school, that's for damn sure.

He's hard on his children, but only to make them stronger. He expects a lot, but genuinely loves them in return. And I love his sense of humor; it's a lot like my dad's.

He would be there to give you support, and if you were to fail (remember little Leo in "Tales of Leo"?) he would try and help you out in any way possible. You would naturally be punished for trying to sneak cookies from the cookie jar, but you know that he loves you, no matter what

Shredder...he'll just get you to train and train all day and night. But you never know. Karai loved him like a father, so you could think that there may be one little ray of goodness in him when taking care of his heir

But when you compare the two, I'd go for Splinter

I went with Splinter, because, for reasons I don't feel like getting into, Splinter and Spidey's Uncle Ben were kind of like my two fathers as a kid. It's just too bad I could also go through some sweet mutation when I was younger.
