Heeeeelp! (scanner)

Okay, my brother has this scanner he borrowed from a friend or something, but he has lost the install-CD that came with it. Now I have tried to connect it to my computer, but I can't seem to get it to work... It's a "Primax - Colorado Direct". I've downloded a driver which, according from what I've read on various sites, should make it work, but it doesn't... When I try to scan something I get a message that says that either the scanner is not onnected, or has no power, which it is, and it has!
So, anybody have any info on what I can try to do?

(If I get it to work, I will scan #50-62, and Tales of TMNT #2-7... ;))

:-? Strange, scanners shouldnt be too much trouble to install.
My dad installed my scanner in a flash so i dunno what to say other than get the drivers (which you already did :| )
