On his blog at shannondenton.com Storyboard artist Shannon Denton mentions the TMNT. This guy is responsible for season 5. Im slightly worried since he's the storyboard artist for...Krypto(now I know who's responsible for Lex Luthor looking like a green conehead)...but he also did the art work in Jimmy Neutron,JLA/U, and he's a cute cowboy!...so all is forgiven. *lol*

Anyways here's his blog entry:

So I'm pounding away on a storyboard for new season of Ninja Turtles. I'm always amazed at much work it is to storyboard ninjitsu battle scenes. It's probably because A) I have never been in a knifefight with four mutant turtles and B) I am only half ninja.

Anyhow, I turned on Cartoon Network this morning to refamiliarize myself with the show. Watching the TV it dawned on me I have multiple shows I've worked on airing on Cartoon Network. This is more shows per week than at any other point in my career. Teen Titans, Ninja Turtles, Krypto, Justice League, Juniper Lee, Ozzy & Drix... and they are all on the air right now! (and soon my episode of HiHi Puffy Ami Yumi I wrote as well) And this is just Cartoon Network! I've reached a cartoon peak!

And on this site you can see his artwork:

Also at http://www.shannondenton.com there's contact info for him if ya wanna email him, his bio, and lots of other stuff!

Meteor City hasn't been updated in several years (he admits it's an old site on his links page). I think there might be some on a web comic site he made in 2000. That's actually rather up to date....altho I haven't found any of his stuff on there.

Perhaps somebody else will be able to find his turtle artwork? He's gonna be at the NY comic con this week so anybody going there just look for him at the Komikwerks (the web comics thing he helped created) booth.

www.komikwerks.com There's a forum on there that people use to ask questions.

Interesting... so... has he worked on the show prior to season five, or is he new blood? I wonder if he knows Boardman from the Hype, or if Boardman knows him, or if he's Boardman.

Thanks for the tidbit. Now we have yet another insider source, well sort of, on the future of the show. Could you provide a link for his blog site?:)

From my understanding he's new blood. He doesn't seem to be familiar with TMNT (since he said he went to Cartoon Network to check out the eps) despite having worked with Kevin Eastman on issues of Heavy Metal.

His blog is the website I provided.

Ive wondered why in season three they did the katana blade slashings in many of the episodes. do you know what I mean? I hope this guy is good, i dont think ive ever complained over a storyboard before. so i have low standards. im sure ill be wicked impressed :D

the story board artist wouldn't be responsible for character designs, so it's probably not his fault on the krypto thing. anyway, these little tidbits are always cool to find.

indeed. The storyboarders only make what you could call 'go bys'. they sketch the scene, and then the animators, take their sketchings and incorporate them into the episodes, thats why they have so many who do it.

I've met 4 of the guys who do storyboards for TMNT, and talked to a few of them for awhile, 2 of them have been with it since the begining, 1 i dont know how many he did cause he was out gettin lunch i think or might have been talkin to someone else, and then the 4th guy just started working with em on the current season. they were really awsome guys, got a small sketch from one of em, and gonna see em again in june.

JLU and Teen Titans have some of the best story boarding on television I hear. TMNT: Fast Forward is in good hands.
