Hello
Well, it's time to discuss your thoughts on this week's episode.
Enjoy :)
I thought it was a "meh" kind of episode. I liked it as always, but it was nothing special to me...

I actually thought it was pretty good...Though I've missed a few eps and I'm a bit lost as to who Savanti is, or to where Renet came from. Great ep all the same, though: cool premise and plenty of wisecracks, so I'm as happy as a clam.
I'm definitely getting the sense this is all leading up to the "Fast Forward" season...Might that time scepter be responsible for accidentally sending the Turtles to the future? 'Seems like a good bet.
And I really enjoyed those small "100 reasons the Turtles kick shell," or whatever, during the commercial breaks. It's really cool that 4Kids is actually putting some effort into promoting the 100th episode of the 'toon.

This ep was kind of slow-paced. Donny likes dinosaurs. Yes. Okay. We get it. Bewitched dinosaurs attack them. They name a triceratops Zog. Renet is pretty useless. Don's sneezing. That's not quite the sort of symptoms I was expecting. *blinks*
And praise for the voice actor: it's hard to fake a sneeze! A couple were silly-sounding, but some were convincing. ;)
I'm kind of afraid to say anything else, at the risk of bothering someone. :(

You're not bothering anyone. Where in the name of God did you get that?
And did anyone notice that In the old cartoon, there was a similar story where Leonardo was the one who got sick before turning into a vicious monster? This time it's Donatello who gets this "honor".

Uh... well, because last week's discussion didn't go so well.
Anyway, this ep kind of made me feel like they had slightly too much material for one episode, but not enough for two, so they filled this one with dialog, and paced it really slow (that museum scene was LONG for the information and humor it gave us). I have a feeling the next ep will be pretty fast-paced.
*blinks* It seems like Don is always the one to carry the girl. He is quite sappy, isn't he? :D

I thought this one was pretty cool. I like dinosaurs as well so I liked seeing them all. I think Don's sneezing will definitly have something to do with a future episode, because, like someone said before (I forget who it was) the bacteria or whatever he is coughing up, can't be good.
Also, it kinda seemed like they made a reference to either an episode to come, or to Vol 4. I say this because when Renet told April she already met her, then caught herself, it kinda seemed like the whole April's origin thing from Vol 4. I dunno if I was the only person that thought that but oh well. I am looking forward to next week's episode.
And I noticed something in this episode, and I'm sure someone is going to bitch at me for noticing this, but the the dinosaur Savanti was riding at the end wasn't a T-Rex, because it had three fingers, and they only had two. Oh well, I might have been the only one to notice that too, but I guess unless they say so, it isn't necessarily a T-Rex.

Well, at the risk of starting another heated argument, some of the members of this forum (like all Internet forums, really) have little or no respect for other people's opinions and thoughts. You never quite know the state of mind of someone who is posting...Additionally, it is very easy to misinterpret other members' writing and make a big fuss over some relatively insignificant comment.
...And still some people on the Internet simply act like jerks. That's the bottom line.

Hmmm... no polls this week? Ah well, whatever, I'll live.
This is just a plain silly fun episode to set up the battle. Yeah there's not much action, but it made up for it with all the humor. I can live with that. The hall with the Whale in the AMNH very quite accurate... except when they suddenly turn a corner and ended up in the dino hall. I love how Mikey named the Triceratops, Zog. That was a very nice touch.
Unfortunately, this episode also had tons of unintentional humor and errors. Geez the frontal view of the stampeding dinos looked bad. At first, they look like some kind of vicious carnivores, but later, they look like Muttaburrasaurs. I got Beast Wars flash backs watching how weird the legs move when they charge straight at the screen. And are the animators still stuck in the 1980s? Most of the dinosaurs look horrible. For some strange reason, they got the T-rex skeleton right, but when it finally appears with Savanti, he has 3 fingers now?

I think that was a great episode. Donny is getting very close to Monster Turtle. I can't wait for that episode where Don turn into a monster. oh and part 2 of this one.

errors are common in the turtles series.
I liked this episode. wasn't as good as the others but it makes up for it's silliness and stuff. I liked it when Mikey fed the dino some chips.

Great episode, I love the animation, it was so well pulled off, and the dinos looked great. It was also pretty funny. Plus it's great the Savnti action figure will be cartoon accurate.

This was an ok ep...mostly it was just to lead to next week's ep. April meets Savanti (sorta) for the first time and Renet for the first time (sorta....kinda...sorta...time paradoxes hurt brain..)...
It was cool to see all those different species of Dino, even Archelons! I just wish they'd stated where on the ring of fire they are.
What's really cool tho is that the dinos they had were ones mostly found on the west coast like the Deinonychus (which might indicate they're in Montana since lots of Deinonychus fossils have been found there)...but uh...they're supposed to be about 4 ft tall..those Dinos were way taller....I think Don may have been wrong and they were fighting Utahraptors (larger relatives of the Deinonychus) instead... :P That Triceratops they've dubbed Zog tho...thank goodness they have their new uh pet.. *lol*
Oh! Did anybody else notice on the add for the 100th ep that it said the ep would be an hour long?!
Oh and that herd of Dinos they were running from...they looked like Iguanadon to me.
So the Dinos shown:
Archelons (why did Leo get scared when he saw the sea turtle in the museum?)
Pteranadons
Apatasaurs (formerly Brontosaurs)
Triceratops
Iguanadon(?)
Stegosaurs
Deinonychus (or possibly Utahraptor)
T-Rex
Velociraptor (the small dino about to eat the dead Dino)
Ankylosaurs
Now where were the duck billed dinos?!
Oh and here's a pic of a Deinonychus:
http://www.cbv.ns.ca/marigold/history/dinosaurs/datafiles/deinonychuspic.jpg
Oh and my fave quotes were:
Michelangelo: "Look there's a Nerdasaur!"
Raphael: "And I see a Geek-a-saurus Rex!"
April: "Look Donnie...Chicken-a-sauruses"
Michelangelo: "A message of doom...when you want to send the very best.."

I'll try and keep this nice and consice. :D First off damn, I missed the first fifteen minutes. What I did see I sort of liked the episode it was...okay. I laughed when Donny sneezed on the dinosaur that was pretty funny, especially when he said "now that's embarrassing" and his voiced sort of cracked.
Oh and Savanti Romero, ooo he doesn't seem to be as much a loser anymore. He found his own power. :o

When Renet said she met April when she showed her...and then said it happened yet.
Just because a younger less experienced Renet met April in the future doesn't mean this has something to do with April's origin. Renet is always a different age when they meet her. Remember in Vol 4 she waited 3 years her time to take April to the past.

I enjoyed this episode... not the best by any means, but enjoyable. Here's my list of random reactions:
I love that they bothered to define them as "Deinonychus" rather than just calling them "raptors." And while they might have been a bit too big, at least they weren't trying to pass them off as Velociraptiors, Jurassic Park-style. (as much as I DO love that movie.)
The museum scene went on for a bit long, I thought. I started fidgeting and wondering when something was gonna happen. But then again, I was obsessed with dinosaurs when I was in third grade... so that may have been why Don's entire geekout seemed like I'd heard it before. :P
The dinosaurs looked OK. Some of the animation was awkward in spots. but in others it was decent. One goof that comes immediately to mind is one of a running Deinonychus. Its stride was really long, but the ground under it wasn't moving fast enough to keep up... looked like it was floating. The head-on shots of the dino stampede were often awkward, but the overhead shot looked decent. And Zog was cute... and usually well-animated too.
Did anybody else want to do violent things to Renet throughout the episode? Maybe I don't have a lot of patience for ditzy/clueless people, but MAN. Just a liability, that girl. And the "omg, like wow!" voice only intensified the effect.
The one-liners and wisecracks kept me entertained through most of the episode. Raph in particular was great.
Aaand I was so happy to see a "To Be Continued..." With those so scarce this season... :D

I never go to to see Time Travelers so this is the first time I've ever seen Renet.
I never thought her attitude would be so infuseastic
Can someone give me a recap on what happened in "Time Travelers"?
I feel n88b for asking this question, but it's the only season 3 episode I missed out on.

This episode was a good set up for the two-parter. I liked the action and the humor. The dinosaurs were intresting to say the least. I liked the part in the museum when that T-Rex skeleton got re-animated. That suprised me and I'm glad Savanti showed up.
Since I haven't seen the episode of Savanti's and Renet's first appearence, I'm glad I got to see those characters in cartooon form. Savanti acted how I expected him to and so did Renet. I liked how Donny's sneeze scared away that Deinonychus. That was creative. This episode felt a little slow-paced and it coulda had more action.
I'd say next week's episode'll be better cuz I give this one a four out of five. Next week's will probably have a fight that is worth seein'. It makes me wonder how Savanti will get defeated. It also makes me wonder how long the fight will last and wheter or not Savanti will be gone for good.

Yeah... it seems like this one was stretched into a more than one episode plotline some how. It still was good, but a lot of it could have been whittled down to get into then real meat of the story.
Still, the highlight of my day. considering it was the only thing today that didn't involved terrible bad news, out and out bad luck or getting wakened waaaaay too early, I think it came out pretty good.

After being overshadowed by Ultimate Draco Savanti actually gets to shine this time around. The last time UD sort of took over the episode and Savanti was quickly left to do nothing. This time we get to see that he can do. I can't wait.
Nice that Donnys new mutation has always been in play since "Outbreak" first it was itching and now he takes the form of a cold. Most shows would have planted the seeds to the plot and then do nothing with it until the time is right. Not Turtles, they are keeping the bug bite and what is happening to Donny front and center.
The Don fan in me loves how the second half of season four has focused on Don the most.

The long necked dinos in the cretaceous were Sauroposeidon, Argyrosaurus, Paralititan, Andesaurus, Antarctosaurus, and Argentinosaurus!

At least Don didn't call the Apato, a Brontosaurus <--the old name for the big goobers.
I thought it was cool the used the Deinynochus instead of the overused common Velociraptor of Jurrasic park.
But they could have at least draw Tyrranosaur RIGHT!! They aren't tail draggers and it's 2 fingers not 3! Unless he was really Allosaur. oy!

I finally saw a TMNT episode this season! My first since I, Monster, I believe. I thought this episode was decent and very amusing.
I loved it when Mikey named the dino Zog. Myabe the potato Chips made Zog smart and then he develops a space civilization to go off into space and form the Triacetarons race! lol
Maybe its because I can't hear her voice, but I love Renet. I (in controlled doses) love people who act like Renet.
I'm looking forward to next week's conclusion, it looked very action-packed.

I think it was a matter of pride why Don attacked the dino after scaring him off with sneezing.

Yikes, how come you know so much about dinosaurs? :o
I first heard about Dinosaurs in Kindergarten.... from the time I was 5 to the time I was 18 my dream was to become a Paleontologist....I baught every book I could find on Dinosaurs (I have one shelf devoted just to Dinosaur books and novels).... unfortunatly due to my alergy to heat (my body can't withstand temps higher than 85) becoming a fossil hunter aint gonna happen (computers was my plan B). :P But I still do keep track of all the latest fossil finds....
The last book on Dinos I got is actually the biography of Roy Chapman Andrews. It's called Dragon Hunter. Roy Chapman Andrews is the man that Indiana Jones is based on! No he never faught Nazi's (they didn't exist in his time) but he did do many fascinating things....in fact it was he who found and named the Protoceratops, Ankylosaur, and Velociraptor among many others. I reccomend Dragon Hunter...it's a good book on not only a great man but there are images of his expiditions and drawings of the prehistoric creatures he found.
I don't blame Don for being a kid in a candy store in a museum....Im like that everytime I see a Dinosaur exhibit. If I had a scanner I'd scan a pic of me laying down in a T-Rex footprint mold at the University of Utah
I've been to some major museums (the one in Frankfort, Germany has an AWESOME display!). Heck I've even been to Dinosaur National Monument. I still need to go to the Paleontological museum in Vancouver....it's the largest dino museum on the west coast and just a couple hours north of me! :o
Actually altho Stegosaurs are known for being Jurrasic Dinos they lived in the Cretaceus as well.
Oh and I was rewatching the ep and realized that the Archelons showed didn't have any teeth...so there's another mistake... Archelons had teeth.

2 things I noticed in the episode.
I notice the TMNT's new vechile from the intro. Least I think it now belongs to them.
And that Tour Guide looked like the Bank Owner from Attack of the Mousers.
So who thinks the time scepter has turned red because of Savanti's influence?
Hmm...
a) Raph mentions Bishop's beasts. Look at the eyes!
b) Savanti's hexed dinosaurs.... red eyes!
c) The time scepter turns red and leaves our heroes to be trampled to death.
Interesting. Red = evil. Only one conclusion can be made: Raphael is evil. No wonder Splinter doesn't want to know.
Donny is getting very close to Monster Turtle. I can't wait for that episode where Don turn into a monster.
What is a monster, really?
(why did Leo get scared when he saw the sea turtle in the museum?)Perhaps to demonstrate that even a giant mutant turtle can think a monstrous turtle is startling. Perhaps because it was freakin' hilarious. You decide.
...Sauroposeidon, Argyrosaurus, Paralititan, Andesaurus, Antarctosaurus, and Argentinosaurus!
Gesundheit!
OK, so not all the dinosaurs were physically and temporally correct. I wouldn't have noticed. I guess it's a good thing we don't learn about dinosaurs from the ninja turtle show. We learn about them from Jurassic Park instead. :rolling:
It was cute seeing Don like a kid in a candy store over the dinosaurs in the museum. :)Mmm... museum. :thyper: Public celebrations of science make me a little giddy.
Bludgeon of the Week: Like, look how much ninja turtles have in common with great big beasties! The turtles' are just theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees close to being great big beasties themselves!
"Dinosaurs are like our ancient cousins!"
"Yeesh! And I thought Raph was the ugliest relative we had!"
"I'd hate to run into that in a dark alley."
Just imagine what it must have been like back then! Herds of ninja turtles grazing peacefully, then THOOM! THOOM! THOOM!...

I actually enjoyed today's episode.
It was a breath of fresh air to me...the shows been sort of odd or perhaps stagnant as of late. I'm not really quite sure I know exactly what it is.
But I sure liked this even if I don't really like how dumb Renet is in the show.
I really like Savanti I think he could grow to be a huge problem for the tmnt.
Man I'm scared though since Renet says she knows who April is because she showed her...man man man they are so gonna do it...either that or Peter and the writers are trying to freak us all out...I really hope April isn't a drawing!:teek:
I really liked the part when the dino bones came to life I really thought it was going to attack the tmnt..but it was great that it turned into Savanti!
To me though the best part of this episode was Mikey callin the Triceratops Zog that was just great and shows Mikey had great respect for him and him giving his life for them meant allot to him.
I really think they are going to mess things up at least Don is because of all his constant sneezing.
So Did anyone else find Splinters attitude towards April to be a bit odd and rude! He hasn't even seen her since all of that Karai crap went down and he was very blunt and rude to her...shesh!
Also thought it was great that it was said about Bishops monsters still running around!
Next weeks preview looks great now we know why the Savanti toy looks like that.

After looking at the ep again and freezing the scenes where they are running away from the herd of dinos that stampeeded after Donatello's sneeze I have come to the conclusion that they are Hadrosaurs and not Iguanadon (altho they are a bit similar in shape). Hadrosaurs are duckbilled Dinos..
Now the only issue with Hadrosaurs being in this ep? WTH are they doing on the west coast? Hadrosaurs are native to New Jersey! :ohwell:
Here is a comparison shot between the Hadrosaurs seen on TMNT and a painting:

Another really pointless episode. It seems that they're just introducing some more enemies for the TMNT before letting them jump to the future and forget about them. What's next? Napoleon Bonafrog? Renet is pretty much what this show lacked, a teenage moron who says "like" a lot. Now they have just about every stereotype character in the show.
As for your "ZOMG!!!111 Teh tyrannozaur had 3 fingaz!!!111"-concerns. Did you ever notice that nobody called that dinosaur a tyrannosaur? And what does it matter which friggin' dinosaur's stampeding around? I mean, isn't it obvious enough that those creatures are dangerous and big without having to be a paleothologist? And what does it matter if "WTF??? Teh dinoz lievd in otha place111"? They're dinsaurs, they're there, end of story.

Hope to god Renet reveals Aprils' origin in this show...it IS after all part of the mytholgoy now and if the TMTNs' origins can't be tampered with and still come off as completly impossible reallisticly, so can this. People fear change. That simple.
Episode was slightly...commercial, by the numbers, did'nt like it that much, slightly inferior to previous efforts. Remember folks, its' not supposed to be called a "filler", scratch that on the chalkboard Bart.....

Zog was really awsome. Does anyone know if the new Triceritops figure is on model(right colored?) I really really appreciated it. and when he saved them, it was the best. Take him back to the lair!
Splinter not wanting to know what was up was pretty funny. April was fun in this episode also.
I believe Renet was referring to the volume 4 storyline. OK episode, still miss casey though.
I've never read any of the comics. I remember reading it on here a while abck, but can someone tell me April's origin?

To cut a long story short (Vol4 Spoiler): April's parents wanted another kid, couldn't have one, so Daddy O'Neill found magic object, drew baby, April came to life.

Did anyone notice that the first part of the episode took place at the museum of natural history in NYC? What really impressed me was how faithfully the artists reproduced the detail and floorplan of the actual museum! For those who haven't been there, there is indeed a room with a huge model of a blue whale suspended from the ceiling - very impressive. And off to the side in a separate part are the dinosaur skeletons. I checked some photos I took there 2 years ago and was surprised to see that even the light fixtures in the dinosaur room were correct!

Yup... and they don't look anything like each other. I said it earlier, this is a Muttaburrasaurus langdoni. Granted, I seriously doubt the animators know what a Muttaburrasaurus really is, but you just name the creature based on looks, it is nothing like Hadrosaur.

Look at the pic you posted, there's a bump on it's nose. It sure as heck isn't flat like the Hadrosaurs. Besides, there are tons of mistakes with the dinos so it really didn't matter where it's from.

Going back and looking at the Tales issue this episode is based off off, this episode is pretty damn accurate, well except for a few slight diffrences. As for Renet, I got no problem with her. Like most characters on the show she remains true to her comic self, except in the comic she showed more cleavage.
I saw how the second part is supposed to play out, and it sounds pretty good.
I just hope they do Complete Carnage and Radical before they move into Fast Foward, that would take care of the entire first volume of Tales.
I don't think the ep was pointless. I laughed all the way through it, and I don't mind doing that. Hoping that Renet would get crushed by a stampeding beast was kind of enjoyable in itself. :P

Raph's Girl and TerranigmaFreak et al... what if some of the dinosaurs in this episode are simply not on record? It's not like they all got fossilized.
Alternatively... Mikey fed one too many chips to Zog and... butterfly effect. Yep. :)
Whatever those stampeding thingies were, I thought that scene was pretty cool. I enjoyed it... but how many times does a day does Raphie have to save Mike from a gruesome demise?! Blaming the stampede on Don's sneeze was hilarious.

Ok after reading the issue of Tales of the TMNT vol 1 this is based on (issue 7) I noticed there are several differences between the ep and the issue.
1: Savanti's message came from Velociraptor bones in the comic.
2: Don only managed to drag April and Mike to the exhibit
3: They never seemed to name the Triceratops...it was just a random dino they rode on to fight Savanti (who WAS riding a 3 fingered T-Rex)
4: Renet had never met April before

Okay I have to ask if orange the new green in the world? Why is that Triceratops painted orange. It's strange...
Okay I'm gonna go off and post my theory, bare with me here. What if the Triceratons aren't actually aliens? What if they are Triceratops taken from the Earth and evolved elsewhere. I mean they seem to be posting a lot about Bishop and his obsession about alien abductions. We've already seen that his fanatical obsession...isn't so unfounded. Now what if those grey aliens had come to Earth before and abducted some dinosaurs (like Mikey's Zog). Wasn't it a tad strange how similar he looked to a Triceraton? It almost looked like I was looking at Traximus...only with pupils. So it isn't so much of a strech that those big aliens are actually dinos from Earth. It'd be a funny twist.
I'm wondering if this is something Laird is saving up for later...

For several weeks there's been a rumor going around that these eps feature the origins of the Triceratons...so you're not that far off.
ST Voyager actually deals with this as well... in the delta quadrant they meet a race of aliens descended from earth dinos.
As for the color of the Triceratops...The only green Triceratops I have ever seen is Baby Bop from Barney and Friends. Otherwise they're Orange and Purple...altho Baby Bop's brother is Yellow. *hugs her Baby Bop and B.J plushies as well as her purple Triceratops plushie*

Instead of Raph's Girl you should call yourself Dino Girl. Oh yes I remember that too. Plus weren't there humans that lived in the Delta Quadrant because of some aliens abducting them, famous ones like Amelia Earhart (that whole alien abduction thing I guess was pretty common O_o)? That figures, If I saw Time Travails then I wouldn't be asking these dumb questions here.
What are you talking about? We all know this isn't a kids show but a Discovery Channel documentary on the life and locations of the thunder lizards (aka dinosaur to those who watch kid cartoons and not documentaries).
Honestly, I usually have nothing against over-annalyzing but some of these comments are ridiculous. Did anyone thing that maybe in the TMNT universe (where aliens/mutants exist and all speak english) that the kinds of dinosaurs and their locations are different from our actual universe? I'm a dino lover too but I really don't care how they look, if they are calling the right dino but the right name, and where they are found on the earth in a kids show. Please stop treating a kid's show with mutant talking turtles like it has to be accurate to our physical reality cause not only does it not need to be, but I'm sorry to inform you guys that it can't be.
Also for all you dino-lovers out there just because a fossil isn't found in a certain location on the earth does not mean that the dino couldn't have lived there. Does anyone know the likelihood of a living animal actually get fossilized? So actually three possibilities exist
1. the dinosaur is native to only the part of the world where it's fossil is found
2. the dino is native to other parts of the world and fossils are yet to be found
3. the dino is native to other parts of the world and no fossils were formed

This is true....just that some Dinos were more common than the others...like the Triceratops, Apatasaur, and T-Rex. Utahraptor is only called that because it was first discovered in Utah.

I liked that explanation from TNG. They had to explain all the similarities between trek aliens SOMEHOW, right?
I don't think TMNT is ripping off any other series in this case. Every scifi universe ends up having some kind of whack origin story (or stories) mixed in. You know... for "believability." *ahem*
There's no way the Triceratons aren't related in some way, even if they aren't direct descendents of terran dinosaurs. Donny's a smart boy; you'd think he'd be able to make the connection... maybe he does, but he couldn't resist pointing out how Mike was just incredibly wrong. ;) Or maybe all that sneezing jarred his brain.
I would love it, personally, if it turned out that Mikey's generosity with potato chips resulted in the Triceraton Zog's birth. That would almost be as good as as Cat (http://planetsmeg.com/cgi-bin/pagegen.pl?cat)'s origin in Red Dwarf.

In Vol 4 the explination given for all the alien dinosaurs (and there are lots of em) is parallel earth development. (Mike explains this after he gives some Dinosaurs a tour of the museum  )
I suppose it makes sense tho. In Land Before Time 7 Littlefoot meets some alien dinos.

*blinks* Wow... we have a lot of dinosaur people in here. I only remember tidbits from school and "Walking With Dinosaurs" (which I watched for the animation, rather than the dinosaurs ;)).
I just realized something.... Don saw a bunch of long necked dinos and exlaimed they were Apatasaurs...but that's impossible....Apatasaurs are Jurrasic dinos...they're in the cretaceous period! Ooops. Didn't do their research again. :p But I wouldn't know either... dinosaurs have never been my thing. They're interesting, I like seeing skeletons and stuff, but I only know the most basic types.
Why did Don attack the dinosaur that he had just scared away with his sneeze?Yeah... I wanted to know that too. "Um, it's gone, it's not bothering you any more, why are you picking a fight with it?!"
I think it was a matter of pride why Don attacked the dino after scaring him off with sneezing.Oh. Could be... but he's usually pretty practical. Practicality over pride would be safer. :p
I think it's perhaps showing us how his attitude is changing because when I saw Don do that I was like what the hell that's not called for the dino left...it was also really out of Don's character to be doing that! So for me I took it as his next stage of mutation to be setting in more.Ooh. That may be also... hadn't thought of that. :tsurpris:
I loved it when Mikey named the dino Zog. Myabe the potato Chips made Zog smart and then he develops a space civilization to go off into space and form the Triacetarons race! lolI almost wouldn't put that past them.... :p
I notice the TMNT's new vechile from the intro. Least I think it now belongs to them.I kinda wondered why they didn't show them working on it earlier. It just sort of appeared.
Did anyone notice that the first part of the episode took place at the museum of natural history in NYC? And off to the side in a separate part are the dinosaur skeletons. I checked some photos I took there 2 years ago and was surprised to see that even the light fixtures in the dinosaur room were correct!Wow! I see.. I am impressed. Now, if we could just find a map of the NYC sewers and see if they're drawing them correctly.. ;)
*blinks at second photo* Biiiiiig turtle... :teek: Oddly, though, it looks like they didn't actually use it as reference for the show, though, since the one they drew has the plastron removed (and it actually looks pretty accurate under there). *shrugs* That's just kind of weird, is all.
Okay I have to ask if orange the new green in the world? Why is that Triceratops painted orange. It's strange...Why not? They could be any color, really. Purple-polka-dotted! ;)
I suppose it makes sense tho. In Land Before Time 7 Littlefoot meets some alien dinos.*blinks* And this, friends, is what happens when one makes far too many sequels of what was once a hit animated film. ;) :p

Leo's been wearing that Indian Jones hat since he went to Japan to train with his great-grandfather, the Ancient One.
Altho it appears that in the original comic Mike and Don sported similar hats when they went to the museum.
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y72/Dierna/TMNT/SavantiReturnpt1/Enter.jpg
I think the hats in the comic look more like "Indiana Jones" hats (a fedora?) than Leo's, at least as it was first drawn in the Ancient One ep. Leo's hat has a much broader brim and is not as tall.

It was about time we got an episode that dealt with MY FAVORITE TURTLED ISSUES OF ALL-TIME (Tales of the TMNT Vol. I #7)!!! I thought this episode took many ideas from the issue and used it well. I even mouthed the words, "Greetings from the Crestaceous (sp?)" just as it was said in the issue, when Savanti Romero transforms the dino bones into an image of his face, with the evil laugh.
And yay, Donny shines even more, in this episode. I love how Donny's getting all the attention, now, seeing as they're gonna build up his tranformation into the GameraDon. And it was good to see Renet again, althought that was expected, since she is the only key to them getting to the past in the comic issue.
And this episode provided so much comedy. And I'm soooo sooooo glad they're making my favorite comic issue into a two-part episode. This is like a slice of heaven, to me! I have no regrets in saying, prematurely, that this will be one of my most favorite episode archs..... EVER!
On a side note: If Renet's "oops" towards April is in reference to Renet showing April her "secret origin" in the fourth volume of the TMNT comics, I will seriously keep my kids from ever watching this show........ EVER!
