Of course he isn't dead. I mean, he fell down into lava in Super Mario Bros. 1. Then he was back in Super Mario 2 (the real SMB 2). He was back again in SMB 3, ended up in some deep, deep hole. Back again, back again~~
It's not something new, mind you :wink:

Errrr wait a min...maybe he's just taking some longer vacations and decided to stay there the holidays too...y'know, fighting that fat italian plumber all day must be stressing ;)
Edit: and i dun' think a shark ate him...maybe he ate the shark, then got indigestion :P WE MISS YA KOOPS!
