Anyone else getting Lara's latest installment?
This one has been promised by the makers and game magazines to be much better that Angel Of Darkness, which i thought was good but not really a Tomb Raider game. I can't wait for this! :D

Everything I've seen so far looks very promising and more "PoP"ish like in the very beginning of the series.

Supposidly there a cool move where Lara slides under the enemys legs and shoots them in the head :P

I like how it seems a bit "PoP"ish as Barky said, but I've never been into Laura Croft. Tomb Raider was never a good series to begin with, they'd really need to do something impressive to make me want it.

I remember liking tomb raider. When I played it now, i feel like not playing it, The controls are clunky.

I stopped after 3....It got stupid at that point. Correct myself. I beat #1, played some of 2*2 sucked horribly*, then beat 3. I gota say the thing about all those games is you get lost so easily. Nothing is just stright forward. Your just in a huge area and you run around. If you fall or miss a jump you have to start over again...and find health. I used to spend more time messing around in the mansion then playing the actual game. The only level I liked was the one where she gets captured and put in the base. Cause in that level you knew where to go...and I could just run around and shoot stuff.

I'll be sure to let you know if it's that kinda thing in this one, AOD wasn't really like that

tomb raider was fun because of that.. You are in different places and you have alot of moves in your dispoal which you can solve puzzles, find secret areas and unlock the mysterious of the storyline..
I'm glad it has this.. I mean the only thing I hated was teh clunky controls.. oh well at least I can get used to it.

I liked the walk button that was introduced in AOD, means you can fall of ledges hopefully they have something like that in this :D

Sorry for the late reply but my computer's been broken for a few weeks
But anyway, Tomb Raider Legend is a BIG forward from Angel Of Darkness, you can now unlock different costumes
(inlcuding a bikini lol), carry the trademark 2 pistols with infinite ammo, jump from wall to wall, Travel on Vehicles (Motorbikes), button pushing scenes, and best of all..... Croft Manor is Back! :D
You can also collect rewards for unlockable goodies but some are very hard to find. plus there is no backtracking in the game, you go to some areas you've been before but no going to the start of a level to find a hidden key type thing. The controls have been well put together no clunkyness, plus it has a great Cliff hanger ending which hints towards another Tomb Raider..
Story 9/10
Sound 9/10
Controls 9/10
Gameplay 10/10
Ending 10/10
Overall verdict 9/10 you have to at least rent Tomb Raider: Legend, it's a must play

I've been watching some videos of this game, and it looks awesome, mostly because it seems like it has a ton of PoP type platforming. Please tell me this is true. If it is, I'm going to go get it.

Yes, it's quite good. It does remind me a great deal of PoP, except with a chick and guns. It's got some of those cool environment puzzles and everything, and the platforming is basically ripped straight from PoP with some varations. There's just not enough of it. It was a very good game, though. It has a ton of potential, so lets hope they really plug along on the next one.
I have played a Tomb Raider game in forever. So, peanut you are saying you'd recommend it?

It's a definate rent at the very least. If you like these kind of games, you could probably get away with buying it. You'll have fun. There's no doubt about that. The game is a ton of fun. It just isn't very long. My final play time, once through the game on the normal difficulty setting, was 6:58:59. Just checked it. The 360 version also looks awesome. The water effects are just great.
At the very least rent it. There's a ton to do in it even after you beat the main game, but I would say that lends to completeists and geeky pervs who want to see Laura Croft in a bikini.
