Hey, wasn't there an episode of the old cartoon with the same name?
Anyway, discuss :D
Much, MUCH better than last week's episode.

Like, Zoinks!
I totally loved today's episode...including Mike's "Like, ZOINKS!" and "Mahamana-hamna-hamna" line as he bolted from Donny.
Left me in stitches, it did... :P

Not bad, definately felt like a setup episode though. Mike's lines were great  Was it just me or was anyone else waiting for Splinter to show up.
Glad he finally made an appearance at the end. So for everyone wondering where Leatherhead is, there ya go.
Totally confused about the Bishop, Baxter thing though. Don't even know where to begin on that... Just don't get it, he all ready had Baxter.... Didn't he?:-?

Hey, did anyone actually feel sorry for Stockman?

Great episode! i loved everything about it! I thought it had a nice way of leading into Don's mutation and at the same time showed the guys still battling away to solve the same issue of mutating animals. I really like the ideas for all the creatures they have mutated. It looked like huge crabs today, really wicked looking!
It was also the perfect time to bring back Leather head. Who else could they have gone to, he was perfect for this episode.
The whole Stockman thing is getting a little sickening. I haven't missed any episodes but I can't quite remember how he ended up in the river Bishop pulled him from????
I wonder why they didn't just leave Don with Splinter in the first place? He ended up back down in the sewer anyway. The preview before the title credits really hooked me, but none of it wasn't in the episode at all. I really wish they would have let it been an hour of this two part episode, I enjoyed the look back and all the hype for this 100 episode but I really can't wait till next week!!!

Hey, did anyone actually feel sorry for Stockman?
I did actually, he just wants to die finally. It's like torture that they keep bringing him back. Who sees him turning on Bishop soon? *Raises hand*

i felt like we were missing something? Bishop falling into an ocean? The new Battle Shell? Months of fighting mutants? and its kind of too late for it cuz if they show it later, don will still be sickly and it will be all out of continuity. leatherhead came out of nowhere. now wheres fugitoid? April and Casey seemed really different to me in this episode. OK episode.

Good episode I like the mutated don. The funny part is casey say to don " leave my girl friend alone" meaning april. Baxter a new look again.:o We now know leatherhead is still around, will he make a cure to turn don back to normal?:P Well it looks like bishop is trying to clean up the mutant out break with the help of baxter or cover up his mistakes so the goverment will not find out bishop is the one who created the mutants.8)

I was confused about Stockman being pulled from the ocen also. When the hell did this happen. I have seen all the episodes and do not remember him getting stuck in the ocean. Great episode, reminded me of how it happened to leo in the old show.
Totally confused about the Bishop, Baxter thing though. Don't even know where to begin on that... Just don't get it, he all ready had Baxter.... Didn't he?:-?
Yeah, but he said he coulda done without his personality, that's why he changed him.

theres gotta be a back story that will be shown telling us this "months" of information that has happend.....i loved how mutated don looked. casey look real sharp all dressed up. and i was so confused at first with baxter. i didnt realize it was him right away cuz he was in that huge mech thing b4.....i really hope the guys get a cure for don cuz its gonna suck if they dont....one thing good thing about mutated don is that theres a good chance hes gonna be a figure now woot!

This season is making the original series canon look cohearant. This is all 4Kids fault presumbly, I bet you my ass this was not supposed to be the 100th episode in production order, and they wanted a major change for the show to draw in big ratings, so they forsaked the continuity and brought us straight up to Dons' plight.
Someone e-mail Danny about this mess, this is ridiculous.

A nice action packed episode! Woohoo! I totally loved the transformation sequence. Poor Don, but OH the angst! XD The Casey and April interaction was my favorite part of this episode. I loved every bit of that, especially when Casey tried to get April to run to safety. Awwwwww! <3 I wonder if the season finale will have anything to do with the two of them finally tying the knot? That'd be great!
I loved the guys' and Splinter's reactions to Monster Donnie, especially Leo. Oh man, his last line about gave me chills. I can't wait for next week!!! Leather Head was a good choice for the guys to go to for help. As much as I can't stand him, he was useful, huh? ^^ And Stockman...I'm starting to think Kikyou here...just let the guy croak already. o_o
I have to be at work in a half hour, so I don't have time to post much right now. Maybe I'll think of more later. :3

Remember there is still the 13 episode "Lost Season" floating about somewhere. Perhaps this explains the continuity gap?
I liked this week's episode. GamerDon looked great. Can't wait to see him and Leatherhead slug it out.

It probably does, I'm just giving an opinion on why 4Kids think the new show is the old show and an episode can be aired out of sequence beleiving nobody notices.

Nice stuff! Man, Donny looked terrible! I just wanted to like... give him a Tylenol or something. And I also liked how when he DID change, he didn't go 100% GameraDon immediately. He had this passing stage where he could still talk but was losing his mind rapidly.
Oh... and Casey dressed in a suit: :tlol:
Huzzah for Leatherhead! But you're right, Zarius... this does seem a little outta joint with the rest of the series. I get the impression that they had too much story and too few epsiodes this season... which could explain it. I just hope there is some stuff to give a background to this. More than just the short. Ah well.
And did anyone notice... Leatherhead's voice had a definite Cajun edge! He's never had that before. I appreciate the reference to the old toon, but why not do that all along? Maybe they thought they could get away with it because we haven't seen him in so long.
Either way, if Leatherhead ever says the word "gumbo" in this show, I will die laughing.

I caught the girlfriend line. He said (Not in context) that's my girlfriend, you can't have her. I think Donny is the character that line gives a little bit of underlying meaning too.
At the end of the preview for next week it looked like the fight ended up in a lab. Bishop's?? I think they will cure him next week, I don't see this going on very long. Can't wait to see it though. I am thinking Leatherhead is keep Donny contained while the guys hunt Bishop down.
As for all the lost season stuff maybe after that is released and the start with the Fast forward plotline we will see them get back on track. There are too many different storylines to keep straight without all the timeline confusion.
I think masked ninja makes a point, too much story too little episode.

Regardless, this was a superb episode -- the animation was excellent, the storyline was great and the humour was definitely on par with the best of the series. Sure, Leo's proclamation that they'd been fighting mutants for the past three months left me a bit confused, ("Did I miss an ep or something?"), but it hardly ruined the experience. The set-up to Don's transformation was very well done and the mutation itself was great. :o
In any event, if 4Kids did indeed skip some episodes in favour of airing this one as the 100th offering, those lost episodes are likely part of the 13-ep "Lost Season" (as mentioned by Rat King.) And aren't we getting that on DVD? Nothin' to get worked up over.

Deep in the bowels of the sewer, lurks a monster feared by humans, rats, and turtles alike…
GameraDon!
Great episode (not one of my all time favorites), but it gets kudos for including mutated Donatello. The script seemed a little rushed and there are obviously some episodes that were skipped over to make this episode the 100th episode. Yet, it doesn’t really agitate me; anything to help the turtles’ popularity is good, right? (Er…maybe not Fast Forward)
And, apparently, not much has really happened in the episodes 4Kids skipped over. I mean, it was all pretty easy to follow (sans the whole Baxter mutilation), however, I was extremely perturbed by the fact that the writers just used a pretty weak plot device in having the turtles bring Don over to April’s apartment to speed up the episode. It really made no sense. Why don’t you just leave him with Splinter; it’s not like the old rat’s got much to do these days. Either way, this episode had a cool idea, and it’s nice to see Leatherhead again. This season has felt very slow moving to me, and it really did need a radical change like this to speed the pace up a little bit.
Again, great episode, and Anarchistguy, this episode takes it’s title from the sixth season episode of the original toon, which (in my opinion) was by far, the worst episode in the old series, but it’s a close tie between that episode and Sleuth on the Loose (Blah!)

It is a shame that they had to skip a few episodes to show this one. And did anyone feel ripped-off by the one hour bit? I wish they would have shown both episodes instead of showing an episode that we've seen a billion times before.
Anyway, this episodes--despite the continuation problems--is still a very good episode. Lots of action and some truely good monster design for once. The crabs are actually cool. Stockmen is actually creepy!

"That's my girlfriend, and you can't have her!"
http://www.geocities.com/jafarnut/blink.gif Why did I get the feeling they were sort of, in a roundabout way, catering to the Don/April/Casey tension that some of us have wondered about (like, why they seem to avoid the idea, and we don't see it much at all)? It was like they felt like they could indirectly adress it when he's a big slavering monster, rather than when he's a rational character and it would be too angsty. I mean, they didn't have to have Casey phrase it that way...
But I also liked:
"Dude... you are seriously cramping my style here."
"Sorry... *glub, sniffle*"
:goofygri:
Their scene timing gets on my nerves on occasion: during the scene in April's basement... "What is that thing?!" And I'm saying "Hello! April! Now's a good time to tell them!", and they wait a good minute or two, and she only says so after Don goes charging off, when Raph repeats the question. I'd think that would have been important to tell them that before they'd gotten too deep in a fight with him. What if they'd managed to kill him? "Oh yeah, by the way, that was Don".
Did you notice that all of Kirby's things are still in his room? I thought that was interesting... I guess it survived the fire, being in the basement.
Now... What on earth? I don't remember Baxter ending up in the river, or an 'unorthodox sabbatical', as Bishop put it. I seem to recall that the last time we saw him was when he had just contained that mutated electrician. I think I'd remember if he'd had a trauma again... Did we miss something? :-?
Hmm... Judging from the other comments around here, nobody knows how he ended up in the river. And last time Bishop and Baxter talked, they seemed to be on better terms than they were here. I guess we really haven't seen it yet. Okay.... what happened to the airing order? I hate out-of-order airing... :(
Poor Baxter, though (yeah, I've always felt sorry for him, he's likeable, in a crazy/sinister/pitiful sort of way). He really is tired; I wondered why he didn't give up a long time ago. I don't think his current form is permanent, though... it looks more like a framework, to me, like "If you behave, we'll put muscles and skin on that for you".
and its kind of too late for it cuz if they show it later, don will still be sickly and it will be all out of continuity. It didn't stop them, in the case of "Wing and a Prayer". Sigh..
I bet you (I'd rather not :p) this was not supposed to be the 100th episode in production order, and they wanted a major change for the show to draw in big ratings, so they forsaked the continuity and brought us straight up to Dons' plight. That's a valid suspicion... they probably didn't want to hype up the 100th "Baxter Runs Away, Takes a Dive, Guys Run Around While Donny Sneezes" episode, when they could show something 'more exciting', like Don turning into a raging monster. I can very well see them doing that. And it's annoying, too. :dead:
EDIT: More junk to say.. :)
I don't think the missing continuity is the "lost season" episodes... they were the beginning of the fifth season. We're not done with the fourth season yet, and besides, I really doubt the writers would purposefully cut an episode that had such important continuity as telling what happened to Baxter. I personally think this is on the network end, rather than the production team's end. The cut episodes are a production decision. Airing order is ultimately up to the network.
however, I was extremely perturbed by the fact that the writers just used a pretty weak plot device in having the turtles bring Don over to April’s apartment to speed up the episode. It really made no sense. Why don’t you just leave him with Splinter; it’s not like the old rat’s got much to do these days.
Probably because Don thought he was up to it, till he got sick in the car, and they were closer to April's, so they dropped him off there instead of driving all the way back... to, uh... wherever they're keeping their vehicles these days. Well, it sounds good to me, anyway.. ;)
Hrm... speaking of that, it still bothers me that they haven't explained where they found that moving van at... more missing eps? :(

Wow that episode was pretty cool, but next weeks looks better. I can't wait to see LH and Don fight. About time we saw LH again I was starting to get mad! Also what happened to Baxter was pretty messed up, but still awesome. What is Bishop talking about? What crash? I don't remember that and I don't think I've missed any episodes from season 4, atleast episodes after Outbreak, where Stockman was fine.
I've been watching the Red Sky seasons recently. I'm on Carter The Enforcer right now. THis episode kinda reminded me of the turtles mutations in that show.

Fairly decent episode.
Casey cleans up nice...and April dresses down...erm..interstingly...
I'm with everyone else...we are obviously missing episodes again...an i bet they are part of the lost season :( Dangit! 4Kids...if you think TMNT is causing your decline in ratings....you could try showing them in ORDER!!! Continuity is so important in this show. Just goes to prove the 4Kids suits aren't watching the show anyway
Enough of the rant.
It was good to see Leatherhead alive and well. And I liked the famliness at the end with everyone vowing to take care of Don no matter what....that's love for ya....gooood family.
There were a few things that bothered me...the one that stands out the most at the moment was how the containment cage seemed to get bigger (conveniently) after leather head put it down....but it's a minor thing.
Good episode in all. Can't wait to see where it all ends!

Stellar episode. Those mutants look so cool. And FINA-FRICKEN-LLY, we see Leatherhead again. Great fight scense, and it's setting up for something good.
As for Stockman, maybe the whole incident with him will be explained next episode, or the epsidoe after. You know how complex the storylines are in this show.
Also, I loved the ending, definatley gave off an Epire Strikes Back-feel.
9.5 out of 10 (had to take points off for slight animation flubs but still a kickass episode).
Also, My theory on Baxter , That mutant electrician turned on him, tore him up, and his brain got dumped in the river.

See.. I warned you all that the ep might be pre-empted by Nascar. Thankfully tho it wasn't pre-empted here.
Well at least we know Don's secondary mutation lasts for several episodes. This was a nice set up to next week tho and we at least know Leatherhead's alive and well. We apperantly missed something tho since Leatherhead and Don have been working together for several weeks. Plus Baxter apperantly fell in the river. Poor Baxter...Bishop should have just allowed him to die once and for all.
And the preview for next week...Oi...Gameradon vs Leatherhead...lets just hope that that battle doesn't end like the Gameraph vs Leatherhead battle in the comics.
It was a bit odd to see Casey all fancy for a date with April (who was dressed as a biker...*L*). I wonder where Auggie and Robyn are tho?
Fave quotes:
"Don't eat Raph! You don't know where he's been!" - Mike
"Zoinks!" - Mike
And of course Casey telling Don to get away from HIS girlfriend.
IMO the reason Don went after April was cuz he chose her to be his mate.
Oh and here's an image of Gameraph from the comics..note how much Gameradon looks like him!

I love this episode. one reason is Don is my favorite Turtle. April and Casey going out on a date (first one right). that cool. Did Don make that Ghostbuters backpack they were wearing those were cool but Raph didn,t have a gun. The first part were leo is talking. The scene didn't happen when Don slam Mike in the brick wall, Grab Raph and pulled him in the dark, and about to fight Leo. That did not happen. Great to see Leatherhead. Is Don going to get bigger or stay the way he is. I liked the end of the episode it was very turning to me that is. Splinter: My son.

Whoa this was a pretty good episode. I missed the last two but from what I've been hearing no big loss. But I would have seriously hated myself for missing this one. Good thing they aired it a little later. I missed the first few minutes but I got the gist of it. Great episode overall.
And yeah I did feel sorry for Baxter. That design is hideous. That was pretty sick the way they attached living tissue (muscle) onto him. :dead: And just WHAT was up with that river reference. I'm wondering if this is what leads to the lost season but who knows. Arrrghh...I hope it wasn't more out of order nonsense. :x
*sigh* And I knew they would do it. But it still annoys me how they just introduced Leatherhead back with no explanation of where he was. Oh well do they ever? Still glad to have the big croco back. And yeah I did notice a difference. Did they change voice actors on us? Another thing I noticed is that he seems to be far more in control of his emotions. Not once did he get so mad that his eyes changed. I'm guessing a big part of what he's been up to has been getting a handle on that temper.

Er, yeah. If THAT's his new body, I only have ONE word for it: EEWWWWWWWW!!!
Great eppie, though. And as sorry and hurting as I still am for the family, I'm kinda/sorta GLAD that they DIDN'T try to cure Donnie in one 30-minite ep. Although I DON'T think I like the idea of them winding up in Area 51 next week very much....ESPECIALLY Donnie and Leatherhead! That's BISHOP'S turf!!!:o :o :o :o :o

plus the guys having all this new gear and being "fully prepared " after just coming back from visiting the dinosaurs, Its like they skipped and Ep or something:ohwell:

People people, there's not need to wonder about the possible missing episodes and continuation problems. The show IS out of order and I can tell you that and I don't work for the show. It's not just Baxter's comments that don't make sense, plenty of things don't make sense. Letterhead appears out of nowhere and have been working with Don for the past few weeks. The guys get brand new gear out of nowhere. A brand new battle shell out of nowhere. What, did they just jump out of the Musem of Natural History and grabbed the car back?
Raph: Hey Leo, there's a shiny new car parked in front of the museum, can we steal it?
Leo: Sure!
No wait, they actually teleported straight home after the battle with Savanti. Baxter having a tragic accident out of nowhere.

My theory, That mutant electrician turned on him, tore him up, and his brain got dumped in the river.Yeah, probably... but the 'unorthodox sabbatical' and Bishop's displeasure with Baxter suggests that he also did something stupid, something rebellious. What else is new? :p
I wonder where Auggie and Robyn are tho?I'm getting the sinking feeling that that was skipped, too... I think there was one or more episode(s) before "Return of Savanti", or even "A Tale of Master Yoshi", that we're missing. They have yet to establish where the heck they got the moving van (and if they're the ones who came up with "Tortuga Brothers", LOL), what happened to Baxter after he contained the electrician-mutant (sounds better than the name for the action figure :p), how the mutants managed to escape the sewers and get into the city when the guys were trying to prevent it, just exactly how the guys/Donny devised those packs, and WHAT was in those vials they injected into the mutants, and where Robyn went (and probably Augie, too). Um... anything else?
We apperantly missed something tho since Leatherhead and Don have been working together for several weeks. That may or may not be something they would have shown us. The fact that Leatherhead mentioned it, and how long they've been working on it and everything, was a little too expositional, if they'd been showing that to us already. But then again, so was the flashback to when Don was cut... yes! We all remember! Why do you think he has his leg bandaged? Has it been that long? On the other hand, considering all these missing pieces... it may have been a while.
But please, correct me if I'm wrong... these "lost season" episodes were the original beginning of the fifth season, right? (therefore, it wouldn't have been time to air them yet anyway) And would the production team even give the network something to air that relies heavily on the continuity set up by something they didn't plan to air? I really, highly, doubt it. The production team has proven to be very conscientious. I think the network's been misbehaving lately, and they've aired something out of order.. I may be wrong, but I'll be surprised.
Aaaugh! Bring back my continuity!! :ohwell:
I did think Leatherhead sounded a little different. I'm fairly sure it's the same voice actor, he's just taking a different approach to the voice. I don't know if I'd call it Cajun, but it was kind of different. :)
*looks around* Am I allowed to say the name of next week's ep? It sounds kind of spoiler-ish in itself. Not necessarily obvious what it means, though.

The lost season are episodes that 4Kids didn't want to air or even produce, so Laird paid the animation team extra money to get the episodes made so they can be released to the fans. So their not even made yet...
How does the whole teram end up in Area 51? Did they move it to New york?

This is just speculation, but maybe it´s worth a try.
Remember on Ninjaturtles.com there was a list of episodes for a now canned DVD. I don´t remember everything, but I do know that an episode called Insane in the Membrane was numbered 97 and the Savanti two parter were 98 and 99.
In the broadcasting order A Tale of Master Yoshi is 97.
So, I think this has happened. Insane in the Membrane is supposed to be shown as episode 97, a tale of Master Yoshi is the real 100th Episode and Gameradon 101.

I just wonder if *all* those questions are answered in one episode. Yet it must be. Wow. You can sure pack a lotta continuity into one ep... :teek:

enjoyable ep. i feel sorry for baxter, really now. he wants to die, let him die. poor thing.
poor don "help me!" that got me...poor thing. I wonder if he'll be under control like Raph is in the comics and able to speak.
watch them have to go to Baxter or Bishop for a cure.
and i thought raph was gonna lose it, he looked sooooooo upset....

And the preview for next week...Oi...Gameradon vs Leatherhead...lets just hope that that battle doesn't end like the Gameraph vs Leatherhead battle in the comics.
Okay how does that end? I don't collect the comics but I know that Leatherhead got his a*% handed to him by Gameraph but not the details.
I did think Leatherhead sounded a little different. I'm fairly sure it's the same voice actor, he's just taking a different approach to the voice. I don't know if I'd call it Cajun, but it was kind of different. :)
Hmm but why now? I mean does this mean something? Leatherhead sounded more mature, more in control. Is this what the voice actor was trying to portray? It almost seemed like it.
Oh and does anyone think that they might end up saving at least some of those aliens on their way to Area 51? I mean the Triceratons might be hard to save (since they breathe sulfur and hydrogen) but I hope they are able to save the aliens as well.
I think Baxter is going to help them out. Don't ask me why but I think is one of those "too big for both parties to handle". The mutant animals are getting out of control. Heck even Bishop knows this. I have the feeling he might have to call a truce *cough cough*cityofstone*cough cough* sometime. That or Baxter might want revenge for that body. Augh!
Oh and do any of you think that they will be able to save some of those aliens on their way to Area 51? I know the Triceratons it might be hard to do so (since they don't breathe oxygen), but I hope they are able to.

They battle for a while, the end up in the water, LH swims away. It ends in a draw.
I'd been dreading Donnie's transformation, and I wasn't disappointed! :tcry: The end was heartbreaking, but if I'd blinked I'd have missed it. I can't believe how much stuff they crammed into this ep!
Why did I get the feeling they were sort of, in a roundabout way, catering to the Don/April/Casey tension...
Because they totally are. You only see it if you look for it, and if you'd prefer not to acknowledge it, you don't have to. It's in the subtext, just like the high body count this series has.
I just figured April had momentarily lost her ability to speak. Maybe April's silence was a timing mistake, but it had me seriously worried that the guys were going to hurt Don... which was incredibly evil of TPTB, and rather cool.
Did you notice that all of Kirby's things are still in his room? I thought that was interesting... I guess it survived the fire, being in the basement.
I noticed. It's striking how much detail they manage to keep continuous in this series.
The Stockman-in-the-river bit did leave me scratching my head, but overall I didn't find the continuity to be a problem. So they skipped ahead a few months... *shrug* Personally I don't see the big deal... this is, what, the THIRD three-month jump we've seen this season? I'm ok with it.

My take: April left the stuff down there so that if one of the guys are visiting/need a place to stay they can just bunk down there...especially now that they have such a convenient tunnel enterance to the basement.

I don't understand how Don can have a cold and an open wound that requires a bandage for over 6 months (dinos & mutant hunting) and not test his own blood or something. I mean, wouldn't you think something was wrong w/ you if a cold & a cut stick around for over half a year!? Like something's wrong w/ your immune system? (like AIDs, for instance...the guys fight so much, there bound to have come in contact w/ other people's blood. Don's smart...wouldn't he have thought about that & had them tested periodically?) I'd sure be worried.
Leatherhead's voice change really bothered me. I figure the reason we haven't heard anything about LH is because his VA quit, but the writers didn't know whether they wanted to end his character since his voice is gone, or bring him back w/ a new one. So they didn't tell us whether he lived or died until they decided/hired a new one, figuring that the kids wouldn't notice/ask anyway. Right.

Hey who was it that posted that wierd screencap a while back that showd what looked like Raph and Mikey standing over a wierd giant mutant thing. That could be from the supposed missing episode(or maybe could be from the lost season, allthough that still wouldn't explain anything).

It's not unheard of for someone to be plagued by the sniffles for months on end, but you've got something of a point there. On the other hand, Don could have been testing himself for everything he could think of and he still could have come up blank. I can think of several pseudoscientific explanations that everyone wants to hear like nails on a chalkboard.
It would have made more sense if they hadn't spent so long in dino-land.

I now know why Donnie wound up at Aprils and not in the Lair with Splinter...and it's this: He felt up to this adventure before they left home, but took a turn for the worse on the way. Re-watching it helped...Mikey's "Did you realize that before or after you threw up in the Battle Shell." line clenched it...Donnie thought he could tangle with mutants, but then he got a bit worse...and needed to recoup.

Episode gets a 5/5. I like how the TMNT are elimating the Mutants as if they we're the "Mutant Busters".
Great to see Leatherhead again.
And poor Don now a savage beast. I know they will get a cure for him cause it would suck to only have 3 Ninja Turtles that aren't savages.
Next week is going to rock. Leatherhead taking some action from what I can tell.

Definitely a great episode! About time this season REALLY picked up on a complex storyline. But like everyone said, there was a lot of stuff that happened between the months the Turtles started doing this "mutant patrol" deal, and I'm guessing "the Lost Season" might have episodes that will answer a bunch of questions we've yet to have answered.
Baxter's new body is just so weird. But if anyone remembers the preview for this season before it even started, Baxter ended up having some cadavre-looking body which actually had a head, so I wouldn't expect the body, he's in, to be the last one you see before this season is over.
And it looks like we still have Leatherhead with us! I doubt he'd die. Hell, if Hun could survive that massive fall from the Exodus episode, chances are Leatherhead did, too. I'm glad to see he'll be one of the main focuses in next week's episode.
And the whole Casey/April thing... awwww... it's developing! Look at 'em, soon enough, we'll see little redheaded tikes running around in Jason masks, bashing each other over the head with objects like Rahzar did Tokka with the metal pipe!
There were a few flaws I noticed: like April finally telling the Turtles that their Gamera friend was actually Don, and how this episode left a huge ass gap of events that we have yet to even know about; but there wasn't enough flaws to take away the excellency of this episode!
And my favorite part: the reaction on everyone's face (especially Splinter's) when looking at my poor Donny trapped in that little contraption that Leatherhead and Donny apparently worked on. It was so heart-breaking to see Splinter's face of sorrow. Ah well, Leo's speech at the end was a great way to end the episode!
I really enjoyed the episode. It was so dark and sad - awesome from the beginning to the end.
Of course, the unexplained gaps left me wondering too. My theory is that they got the new Battle Shell even before Return of Savanti and it was shown in the begininng of the episode because the guys went to the museum with it. I also think Leatherhead appears before that episode. The Baxter gap and the outfits are also missing.
From the second I saw Leatherhead I was waiting for his clash with Gameradon. I was disappointed, but it seems that they l;eft it for next week. Hope it's good, two very powerful and big mutants battle.
Baxter's new body... well, I think it's designed to actually grow the flesh around the metal skeleton, judging from that Baxter image from the Season 4 preview. There the body was covered with musles and even with skin here and there. I'm only confused about the head, but I guess we'll wait and see. Of course, it's possible that the body from the preview was Stockman's body from before these events. He was constantly going on and on about his body in Outbreak, so maybe he got that body first and then fell into the river...

Oh oh me too. I thought of that when Mikey powered up his gun. That was schweet. :D But then a second later I remembered that Donny had built the cool equipment. It was all a constant reminder of Donny.

Actually, you're right! It does make sense that they had the new battle shell before going back in time. I find it rather pointless to show a car for no reason, unless that car was already theirs. But um... the American Museum of Natural History is RIGHT ACROSS from Central Park where the Turtles live. Still, it is a very big place so taking a car to the museum isn't so outrageous.

Maybe they had to nick April from her place beforehand, or maybe they just don't like the idea of casually strolling through Central Park in daylight, disguised or not. In any case, the way we were shown the truck parked outside implied that it belonged to the turtles who we join in the museum immediately therafter.

Well I finally got to saw it. Very good episode. the guys look good in their monster tracking outfits.Casey's tied back hair/nice suit and April's biker chick look made them look wierd. I was happy to see LH. I think this episode was pointed to all those want a Don/April/Casey "love" triangle. Casey did seem fustrated at Don for "cramping" his style but when Casey tucked Donny in on the couch, that showed that he really had no ill toward Don. Don looked wicked scary in his new form. Maybe since Don not Raph is a monster, they'll shrink Raph down to action figure size and have him use a mech turtle robot.:P I agree that there must be episodes missing cause of the Bishop/Baxter scene. Baxter must have been tired of his life and tried to kill himself or something to find peace cause he was upset that Bishop gave him a new freaky body! Baxter is a creep but even a creep does not deserve that much misery. I think they are making Baxter suffer way too much. Now Bishop is the one who needs punishment, he is a monster just as much as the Shredder was. I can't wait to see next weeks episode: Don vs. LH match of the century!

As an episode.....I didn't really like it. Nothing really happened, it was really all set up stuff for what will happen next week, which I really can't wait for. And I think that was the point of this episode. They advertised the 100th episode so all the kids that watch 4kids would watch it, and then they left the best "I can't wait for next weeks episode" episode in the whole series.(sorry I couldn't think of a better word, haha)
I think they wrote out in the storyboard that something would happen to Baxter in an episode, but then they decided that they didn't want to make another episode for it, because they wanted this to be the 100th, so they just never showed it and instead mentioned it in this episode. So I really don't think they will show us what happened in between ever.

I just figured April had momentarily lost her ability to speak. Maybe April's silence was a timing mistake, but it had me seriously worried that the guys were going to hurt Don... which was incredibly evil of TPTB, and rather cool.I don't think it's a mistake, I just thought it was frustrating. Speak now, or forever hold his pieces (very bad turn of phrase there, sorry :goofygri: ). :p
I don't understand how Don can have a cold and an open wound that requires a bandage for over 6 months (dinos & mutant hunting) and not test his own blood or something.*blinks* It has been around six months for him, hasn't it? (around three months by their global time... sheesh, time travel is confusing) Wow... yeah, you'd definitely think he'd think something was wrong by then. Although we haven't really heard much of Don's thoughts on the subject at all, other than the 'cold' that he "can't seem to shake". He could be really worried, I don't know, they haven't said. :ohwell: And he was in the Cretaceous for three of those months, and who knows what sort of care they could manage for him, among unfamiliar plants (that kinda hampers your herbal remedies if any of them knew any... but maybe they at least found something that would work for bandages), and strange diseases; they could have all been sick during that time as far as we know. :goofygri:
Leatherhead's voice change really bothered me. I figure the reason we haven't heard anything about LH is because his VA quit, but the writers didn't know whether they wanted to end his character since his voice is gone, or bring him back w/ a new one. I'm really pretty sure it's the same actor (Frederick B. Owens). I thought he sounded pretty much like his old self later on in the ep; it's the inflection and meter of his voice that's changed, and it wasn't so pronounced later on. I'm not sure what the change was for, though, or if it was purposeful, even. It may have been to reflect the control he has over his anger, now, as Doppleganger suggested. Kind of a light and lilting inflection, now that he's not having to clamp down on the anger? Or Frederick Owens just did some voice work for a character that sounded like that and hasn't lost it yet.. or something else silly. :p

Er, okay, I won't ask, then. Don't wanna torture people. ;)
I'm really really curious about what they injected into the mutants. It looked almost like the crystal serum they used on the mutants in the Y'lentian city (Sidney, et al), but the whole place was destroyed, and so was the lair, so I can't see them having any more crystals. Besides, that would probably cure the mutants, and the ones at the powerplant were decidedly still mutated afterward (and they'd be able to use it on Donnie). Were they dead? Were they tranquilized (um... not a good idea, if they're gonna wake up again and continue their rampage)? Why do I care? I dunno, curiousity, I guess.. it may have some implication on later eps.

I don't think anything really happened to Baxter. I think Baxter was building a new body for Bishop in exchange for a new body of his own. I think Bishop story about falling in the river was a lie. He put baxter in that freak body instead of a normal one and is giving Baxter a BS story so that he won't question him.

I don't think the people that write the show cared what the 100th episode is. they've been showing the entire 4th season out of order, so why wouldn't you think this was aslo out or order? As far as I know, the writers dont mention things we havent seen yet.

Yeah, I was saying that the people writing the storyboards didnt care about the 100th episode. They wrote the story out a certain way, but because they had to have a special episode for number 100, they told the writers to not make an episode out of the things we missed, but instead to have the characters just say it happened. Its hard for me to explain, but do you get it?

Hmm I guess that he found inner peace, maybe Leo trained him a bit. :P But I dunno I'm gonna miss him with that growly voice of his. Another thing that might have caused it was maybe that fall. OK, so I watched it. I liked it. Heh, and when I don't have to get UP in 4 hours, I'll let ya know in more details. ;) :)
Quickly though... Casey made me laugh for the first time with his 'Wow' reaction to mutated Don.
Baxter has now officially come back more times than Jean Grey.
LOVED Leo's 'oh crap' expression on the phone there.. and I found this one sad; especially at the end, with them all standing there watching him in that containment unit.
I didn't like the dialect change with Leatherhead... But whatever.
Watching this made me realllly sad about Fast Forward. I'm so not looking forward to that.
Erm... no pun intended. Really.
Cool ep.
And no, the irony of Don, April and Casey being in that apartment was not lost on me!! ;) :D

Well, I did this for Mikey's and thought, "Hey, why not? The drome could uses a blow by blow, in case you missed it synopsis." So here it is...enjoy.
Cold Opening/Exposition: Leo narrates how they'd all be sunk with out Donnie's brains as they hunt down mutants in the sewer...more specifically Donnie-T himself.
Act 1: We open with April prepping for a date with Casey Jones. She is dressed in biker garb, complete with torn jeans, leather jacket, and skull rag. There is a knock on the door. Its Casey dressed to the nines, hair tied back. They exchange their thought about how the other looks (Casey: Goon-Gala). Casey explains he has reservations at Chez Bon and April explains she thought he'd wanna hit the biker clubs after riding a bit. Another knock at the door brings our heroes. They explain they are on their way to the power plant to tangle with some mutants, and Donnie's too out of it to go so they ask if he can stay with her. She reluctantly agrees, Casey is slightly peeved ("Bro, you are seriously cramping my style here." "Sorry."). The guys leave and April and Casey make Don comfortable.
Cut to the guys at the power plant. The goal: Contain the mutants, not pop them and let their "cream filling" contaminate more animals. A fight insures, in which Mikey accidentally knocks out the cities power. In the dark apartment Casey goes to retrieve a flashlight, and April goes to help. Meanwhile, Donnie's wound starts to grow and pulse. The muscles begin to bulge ripping his bandage. He continues to expand and grow, ripping all his "costume" save his bandana. His teeth sharpen, his eyes glow red. He calls for Casey and April's help. They rush back to the living room. "Help me!" he groans as April shines the light on him, revealing his hulking form.
Act 2: April and Casey gape at the changing Donnie-T. He tells them to stay away and runs to the basement, ripping the door of its hinges.
Cut to Area 51: 4 of Bishop's tech team is working over an exam table, a "body" is laid across it. They pull the "Frankenstein" electrolysis deal and the figure moves. Bishop welcomes the body, which happens to be Baxter Stockman, back to the living. Stockman is bewildered.
Return to the 2nd Time Around Shop. April and Casey search the basement for Don. In a corner they discover the now mindless Gamera-Don. They flee in terror. Don pursues, leaping on all fours and bellowing. As April and Casey attempt to climb the stairs back to the shop Don catches Casey's leg. April grabs a broom and whacks Donnie, freeing Case. The 2 discuss what to do, they think to talk to him but quickly throw that aside considering he's feral and also freshly whacked with a broom. April then chooses to call for the guys. Casey tries to talk Don down as April calls the guys. Don stops for a minute, then roars. he hurls Casey across the room and into April's table. Casey, not a bit mad himself, rushes Don.
Cut to Plant. The guys continue to contain the 3 mutants at the plant. Leo's Shell Cell rings, it's April. Leo is pinned by a mutant as he answers, in a hurried fashion. April's response is also hurried, "Leo help. A monster, Don! AHHH!" Don attacks her, the phone goes dead.
Act 3: Leo frantically tries to contact April. He informs the guys that April, Casey, and Don are in trouble. He also tells them to target the under belly of their mutant foes to trank them. The mutants now contained, Mikey tells the guys to hustle they have to save April and Don...and Casey after Leo reminds him.
Cut to the shop. Gamera-Don inches toward April. Casey grabs a vacuumed to defend her. Blinded by dust, April and Casey take this time to flee Donatello. They run to the basement, with Donnie in hot pursuit, galloping on all fours. Casey tells April to stay behind him and make a run for it when Donnie attacks him. Casey then lungs at Don, giving April the opening she needs, but she stays.
Cut to Area 51. Baxter sits on the edge of the exam table as Bishop explains why he was resurrected. Bishop needs Stockman's intellect to help him contain the mutant outbreak, and so he fished Baxter out of the east River (when that happened I dunna...Bishop calls it Stockman's "misguided sabbatical"). Stockman is shocked that Bishop would bring him back as this cybernetic monster (note: Work in progress... ), why he couldn't just be left in peace. He struggles to get to his feet, but his legs are to flimsy to hold the weight and he falls.
Cut back to the shop. Casey struggles against Don, shouting at April to run, but she remains frozen. Donnie slams Case against a wall, and April struggles to free him. Enter the Turtles. Raph baps Don, then questions April and Casey as to what it is (Like the fact Donnie's missing and the monster resembles a giant turtle isn't enough to put 2 and 2 together, but I digress.). Donnie lunges at him. Leo then whaps Don, freeing Raph. Donnie spots the tunnel to the sewers and makes a break for it, leaving the others behind and confused. Leo again asks what that was. Raph wonders about Don. Mike wonders if that thing GOT Don. April finally says that the creature IS Don. (Mikey: SAY WHAT!?) April repeats herself. Needless to say the guys are shocked.
Act 4: Leatherhead's home. Leo asks LH for his opinion. Leatherhead tells him that the sample from Don's bandage has traces of the mutagen and has, in Don, triggered a secondary mutation. He wonders how Donnie was infected. Leo explains how, referencing back to the attack of the mutated sewer tech. in Outbreak. LH delivers the news that he has no cure for the mutation. Raph wants Bishop's head, and Leo talks him down, telling him they'll find a cure, but they've gotta get Donnie first and stop him from hurting himself, or others. LH tells the guys of a containment unit he and Donnie had been working on designed to contain larger mutates. LH says that when he developed it with Don he never dreamed of having to use it on him. So the guys, LH, April and Casey (the last 2 above ground in the new Battle Shell) track Donnie. April tells the guys they spotted a blip that matches Donnie's size, headed for the new lair in Central Park. The guys find Don and use Mikey to bait him into coming to them. ("like Zoinks!" and "Humina humina humina!!") They lure him to the cage where LH, using his size and strength (the only match for Gamera-Don), places Donnie into the stasis pod. Cut to the lair. Splinter places his hand on the pod, lamenting his son's condition. LH offers his sympathy, since he has an uncontrollable monster inside him as well. Raph places his hand on Splinter's shoulder also saddened by Donnie's plight. Mikey asks Leo what they are gonna do. Leo tells him, "This is Donatello. This is our brother. We're gonna hunt down a cure for him. No matter what it takes!"

wowza I really liked this episode! I felt really bad for Don when he first mutated again. Then of course he started attacking April & Casey and then my mind quickly changed *shakes fist at don* lol
But man oh man poor baxter he even wants to die...well we know hes going to get a real body soon or atleast maybe that's the episode that's missing if you all remember they show him in some zombie like body perhaps they skipped the episode where baxter gets a real body again....this one he's in now is lame...but nasty at the same time with the veins and muscle and he cant even stand up...shame he had such an awsome robot body before...what really sucks is once again the toy doesn't match the show lol can't keep up with baxter though...it's to tough in this series poor playmates lol:lol:
It's nice to see leatherhead again which was sort of oh hey we finally saw you all complaining about him being gone so we're just gonna toss the old guy back in as if nothing happend and he hadn't been gone for months...of course they did do the same thing to him in the old mirage comics...
I didn't really notice much of a voice change in old LH he just seems to be spaced out a bit more with his words..I am pretty sure it's the same guy though...it does make him sound a bit slow though...not cajun..
Man I really will say I don't like the design of these mutants at all the kid designing them really needs to up it a notch they all look like the mutants from notes from the underground...I will admit the crabs are freaky but well mutant crabs are freaky to begun with duh! lol
I think his best mutant design so far has to be the Minatonka Mutant aka Repair Mutant.
It was way sad at the end though when Splinter was looking at Don they animators did a good job there...Splinter actully looked really upset..and I felt emotion from the show..it was good.
oh and one last thing man did April look hot or what in her Biker gear! and Casey looked like such a doof! haha
I can't wait for next week!

This episode was great and I liked the action and how things were paced. The plot was good and I was glad to see Leatherhead, Bishop, Casey, and Baxter again. I'd say I really missed LH the most. I liked Baxter's older look better cuz it really worked for him and this one makes him look like a klutz and he looks way too fragile to . :ohwell: I like the cyclops deal though.
When Casey and April encountered Mutated Don, those scenes really got my attention and I didn't wanna miss a minute of it. The part where Casey got pulled down the stairs in the basement by Don reminded of the scene in Evil Dead 2 when Ash first encountered Henrietta in the cellar. Thought I'd mention that if anyone's seen the movie. Anyways, Casey's suit looked snazzy and I'm glad the writers decided to put him in somethin' sharp instead of his typical tank top, sneakers, and pants. :) I liked the Turtles' monter hunter gear cuz it looked neat and very useful for 'em. I'm glad they were able to defeat those monsters at the power plant.
This episode had a fair share of humor and I chuckled when Mikey was chosen to lure Donny to the containment unit. I liked his Scooby Doo reference and how he acted when Don chased him. :D I give this episode a five out of five cuz it was better than last week's IMHO. I dunno if I'll be able to catch the comin' episode cuz I'm gonna move that day, but it looks good. I'll probably record the episode if worst comes to worst if I'm not able to watch it in the morning. Somethin' tells me the Leatherhead versus Donatello fight will be an episode I won't wanna miss cuz I can hardly wait for it. 8)
Mikey's "zoinks!" is a moment I'm not gonna forget any time soon. It was kind of surreal.
cb14, mutated Don does NOT remind me of Henrietta, but I kind of see your point.

I would think it to be cool if they don't completely cure him yet. Like, he should still be mutated physically, but they should find a way to restore his mind(similar to Raph's situation in the new comics).
Then in Fast Foward, they could have Cody Jones or someone restore him completely back to old Don.
That's exactly what I've been thinking, ThemanthatwouldbeRaphael. I'd like to see this carried over, but I'm not sure it's gonna happen.

This is just speculation, but maybe it´s worth a try.
So, I think this has happened. Insane in the Membrane is supposed to be shown as episode 97, a tale of Master Yoshi is the real 100th Episode and Gameradon 101.
I´ve just got confirmation from Dan. Here I present the correct order of the episodes.
#79 - Cousin Sid
#80 - The People’s Choice
#81 - Sons of the Silent Age
#82 - Dragon’s Brew
#83 - I, Monster
#84 - Grudge Match
#85 - Wing and a Prayer
#86 - Bad Day

Either that or Karai wants to take the TMNT to court and sue for the damage to the Saki statue :D
This is the plantif, Miss Karai. She claims the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles got her father killed, and when se went to talk to them about it, they went crazy and attacked her. Then one of them cut the head off the statue of her dead father, just to show how big of a dick he is. She's suing for 5'000 dollars in damages.
These are the defendants, The TMNT, they claim Karai is a psycho bitch who wont accept the fact that her daddy was a murderer and whos death was a blessing to the world. They claim in a emo rage she tore up their home, blew up their cars, nearly killed their father, and broke alot of valuble stuff just because shes a bitch. They claim that statue was cheap and would have broke at the slightest touch anyway. Theyr'e couter-suing for 8,000 dollars.

Why would they not show "insane in the membrane"? will they ever or will it be one of the lost episodes.
Why wouln't they? You act as if this is the first out of order episode this season. Look how confused we were when grudge match was referenced before we saw it. Then it was aired a few weeks later.

Interesting how GameraDon has a tail, a very long fat male turtle looking tail...when...as normal, they got no tails at all! BWAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I noticed that too, Buslady. But without the "BWAHAHAHA" part. I like their tails... they look weird without them!
