I'm not quite sure if this kind of thread has been made before, but in this thread, you can list your pet turtles.
I had recently discovered a baby turtle at my nearest lake while searching for frog tadpoles and I'm raising it inside my house.
All my pet turtles are made of jade! I have 8 pet roc-- er... pet turtles. ;)
Zack Dogg, baby turtles are really awesome and darling, but I wouldn't recommend taking in a wild turtle as a pet! I don't have any real pet turtles because they're difficult to take care of properly, and even though I studied how to take care of them in college, I don't feel that I could provide them every thing they need. *shrug* So I just have pictures.
And my little rock dudes...

I've got a Red-Eared Slider named Yurtle that I have had so about 5-7 years (I can't remember exactly when I got him), then I have a Snapping Turtle named George, and I have had him for about 4-5 years, and then I have an African Spurred Tortoise named Rory, and i have had him for almost two years.

In my life, I have had
a red-headed slider
a western box turtle
a red-eared slider
Just my opinion...let the turtles go and go get a bearded Dragon! You won't be sorry :D
 Agreed. I don't have any dragons myself, but I highly recommend them. My uncle has two of them, and they are absolutly beautiful. They too, can be a bit of a handful when taking care of them (Where to put their cages, figuring out their diet, ect), but once those obsticles are overcome, they are a sinch to take care of; take them out now and again to talk to them and handle, give them their daily meals, make sure their light source is still working, just to name the basics
Turtles, however, need a lot more attention. They need fresh water all the time, light, places for them to rest between swimming, food, ect. Though I'm sure you'd love to take care of a turtle, I'd suggest to take your little guy back to where you found him and try and get a turtle from your local pet shop or from a breeder. Wild turtles can, like other animals, can get a bit of a 'culture shock' from being moved and man-handled. Turtles that have been handled from a young age though, like pet shop turtles, are used to handling, so you don't really run the risk of giving a young turtle a heart attack when handling and moving their dishes
So, whether it be dragon or turtle, remember that turtles need a little more love and care, for lizards are pretty tough. Either way, both reptiles make good pets :)
