I haven't exactly been following comics hardcore the last few years but I keep hearing ramblings about a Gen13 relaunch set in a new WS universe. Last night I found preview art that looked pretty good, but that's all the solid info I can find.

Can anyone else help me find info on this?! I have no idea what any good comic sites are.

Well I do know that the art is going to be done by Talent Caldwell, I cant remember who the writer is at the moment. But its being done along with several other relaunched like WildCats.

Wizard has new art from Jim Lee on the new WildCATS comic, and it looks ****ing amazing.

Hopefully these relaunches will stay afloat and lead to releases of products the others should have gotten (The Gen13 toys were pisspoor, and expensive).

I had the Fairchild figure, (the only one I was able to find) when I moved, I had her in a box, pulled her out and she was broken. THe only one of my action figures that broke in the move was that one, and yeah she was pretty expensive I was pissed.

I'm also hoping we get an atleast decent Gen13 game this time, and an animated movie that Oh I dunno... GETS RELEASED. I remember hearing Jim Lee or Campbell say that there was going to be a Gen13 Sega Genesis game
but I guess that was scrapped.

I always have liked the Wildstorm universe, I really hope it does well. I'd like a DV8 relaunch done as well. Or atleast as villans in the Gen13 book.

Seeing as today is my "Catch up with stuff you've been meaning to catch up on"-day, I can tell you things about the first two issues. So far, they're still in the "We're establishing the world and characters"-phase. And it's good. The big, evil baddie is a cynical megalomaniac who has an assistant who's completely in love with him. The kids themselves are getting new origins, or at least altered ones, but they are basically still the same characters.

The art is indeed done by Caldwell and it's good. Nothing really spectacular like when Alex Ross does something, but it's solid work.

If I were you, I'd pick it up, if you haven't already.

You have to take into account that Alex Ross is an aquired taste when asserting his greatness. Nobody's gonna doubt that the guy's got talent, but many people take exception with his style in the way that it tends to make everyone appear (bulky and plain...even past realistic if you ask me).

Again with the subtlety. The point I was trying to make is that the art in the book is nothing spectacular, nothing outstanding. But it is good work. So it's not fantastic and it doesn't suck either.

And I've just read the third issue and they're still busy with origins and establishing the characters. Although, they're adding a couple of twists now, like a mysterybullet that hit Roxy and some people watching this on PPV. They've been around before, but now it seems that they're taking a bigger part in all this.
