Ok, here's an interesting question for the people that grew up on the 80's show. Ok, we all liked April and thought she was hot, and hey as teenagers entering our hormonal years probably had a fantasy or two of the sassy redhead.

But now we're adults, some of us married with kids of our own. Suddenly, a big lightning storm hits your antennae as you're watching your old TMNT tapes/DVDs and BAM! April pops out in the real world. She can only be there for a limited time, like when the storm stops and the planets stop aligning themselves or whatever. After all the fanboy talk and questions about the old show and blah blah, the topic of sex comes up. As you know, the old show was all about comedy and slapstick, so of course noone ever 'got busy' in an 80's cartoon for kids, so her only shot to get some bird and bees action is with you, in the 'real world' then and there. And like hey, as if your wife would ever believe you if you told her anyway, she'd have you commited for thinking you did a cartoon character.


Would you take this one in a billion lifetime shot to do the O'Neil you had the hots for in your younger years, or let her go for the sake of of being true to your wife and kids, even if they'd never find out and never believe you anyways?

Allow me to make the wussy cop-out answer. No one from the old 'toon would interest me. However, if new 'toon April were to pop out of the TV, my heart would be throbbing. (Shut up, pervs; I can hear your thoughts! :x) So, depending on whether or not it was from before her relationship with Casey, there'd be a lot of flirting and heavy petting going on. The basic question is simple enough, though the way it's phrased is a bit too creepy to contemplate. So I'll just go with the simple question: Would I do April.

HELLZ YEAH. Considering I'm in my late 20s, I'm even in a similar age bracket as her. Pretty much any incarnation of April as well, as they've all been hot except for the one from the "Coming Out of Our Shells" tour.

Mirage!April was pretty nice-looking ... though somehow a bit more normal-looking than the other media versions. Probably because she wasn't a redhead (though it's hard to tell in some of the b&w comics).

'80s Toon!April kinda has the annoying yellow jumpsuit working against her, though there were times when she was shown wearing something else, like a classy purple outfit in "New York's Shiniest" (which was much closer to something a TV anchorwoman might wear), a brown leather jacket and jeans in the Red Sky episodes ... and I could've sworn I saw her wearing a negligee at one point in the episode that introduced Casey Jones. April's boss called her in the middle of the night, and my eyes bulged at what she was wearing when she answered the phone.

Live Action Movie!April was hot, regardless of who played her. Judith Hoag was my favorite April, and she seemed to embody the character without even really trying (and I say this because at the time she played the character, she had only minimal exposure to the character). Paige Turco didn't really make the April role her own until the third movie, when she was more central to the plot and had a lot of dialogue. She was very feisty, snarking nonstop and standing up to villains left and right in a way I kind of wish '80s Toon!April did more of. She spent most of the movie as a hostage, but I really liked that she didn't go quietly.

Next Mutation!April ... didn't exist. Mining right along....

FoxBox!April is quite possibly the hottest version of April I've seen yet. Yeah, the midriff-baring shirt was awkward for her brief stint as a lab assistant, but I generally liked what was done with the character. She was an adventurous geekgirl and made no apologies for it. I liked that she even trained a bit in martial arts, though she didn't get as far with it on the show as she did in the Mutant Melee video game where she was a playable character. I like that fictory dance she does in the game when she wins a fight: she jumps up, shakes her booty, and starts blowing kisses to the audience.

CGI!April has the most stylized design by virtue of being drawn by the same guy who designed "The Jackie Chan Adventures" and "The Batman". I think she looks legitimately cute and has some nice facial expressions, though it wouldn't have killed her to have a bit more meat on her bones. :) Also, while I like the design of her ninja outfit, she showed remarkably bad judgment in the color scheme. Sure, the yellow was a callback to the '80s cartoon jumpsuit, but in a fight scene with a hundred Foot Ninjas, she might as well have written "STAB ME" on the outfit in giant letters.

So ... yeah, I'd tap that. Luckily I'm a bachelor, so I can say it with impunity.

Actually I don't think any of the females on the NT cartoon are drwan paticularly well. They seem...I don't know off. Most of the NT females don't look particularly womanly to me.

I think NT April's only attractive feature is her green eyes, and thats about it.

Y'see, that's a red-head thing - we are all pale-faced because we get sun burn if we spend more than 30 seconds in natural light. No, t'is not true - I jest. My hair does clash with my complexion though, especially when my cheeks are pink. That's why I can't wear orange - picture the horror. :lol:

As for the scrawniness - this is also a red-head thing - we burn so many calories from being in a feisty temper so much of the time and that we don't need to go to any gymn!

In all honesty, I think she is more attractive in NT than OT but I am blinded by the yellow jump suit.

OT April had the amazing red-brown-orange color change hair. I wish I had a color change button for mine...seriously. Unfortunately she was a victim of the 80s. Fashion didn't exist then. Despite being forced into the damsel in distress role, I have a whole lot more espect for OT April. Given the choice between the animated versions, I'd just have to take the yellow thing off. I don't even feel TMNT07 April is worth mentioning.

There is so much more to 2k3 April than there was to 87 April. OT April was a knockout babe, true. But she was one sided. She was work obsessed and she could never take care of herself.

2k3 April, in addition to being gorgeous, is quite well-rounded. Her light skin complexion makes her look so pure and innocent. I love it. And her back crack is definately a male attention grabber. Once a scientific assistant, still quite tech savvy, now skilled in martial arts, caring, kind, gentle... :) There is so much more to 2k3 April beside her smokin hot body. If I could meet one cartoon babe, hands down. April O'Neil, from the 2k3 series. My dream girl.

Jealous much? To me, it isn't 'all about the looks'. It's the entire package: pretty face (a woman's most important physical feature as that's what decent men are looking at most often), Veronica Taylor's sweet voice, and a well-written and unbelievably admirable personality. Since she's not a knockout, and I could appreciate any voice as long as she had that personality, I'd sell my soul for a woman with a personality like hers here in reality (which I understand is the price of marriage these millenia).

To answer the original question (again), classic 'toon April was nothing of interest to me ever. If we substitute 2K3 April, I'd still have to pass in as much as it would involve cheating on a spouse. I'd never settle with a woman I couldn't respect enough to remain faithful to (in which case I might never apply to this situation as what I've just stated greatly decreases the chances of finding someone suitable).

I would like her better if she was still out doing the scienctist thing as a career instead of an atique shop own as that does the sciency stuff on the side with Donatello.

And yeah NT April might have an awsome VA that conveyed her sweet personality but to me I found her interactions with Casey to be down right grating. The whole opposites attract thing is so over done in cartoons that I was infinately annoyed to see it incorporated with Casey and April. Honestly April is a lot more tolerable character when she isn't interacting with Casey.

the diffrence about NT April and OT April is that NT April is a depiction of a modern woman whos portrayal is taken seriously by its writters. Hence she has alot of positve characteristics like being sweet and caring and smart while being independent sassy and legitimately kick-ass so that all the little femes out in tv land can look up to her and emulate her as a postive female role modle.

Old Toon April was a victim of the era she was portrayed in. and thats why creators didn't take her portrayal seriously and possiably spoofed on her go-getter persona of a libriated career woman by making her over the top and one demicinal with her gusto to get the scoop at any cost and have no more realaxed traits to soften up her character. In other words, since this was the 80's and just shy of all that contraveral womens lib stuff from the eightes, the cartoon sort of spoofed on a supposed independent career woman by making her show off brash and ill-logical and a helpless damesl in distress as a sort of tongue-in-cheek joke at the novelty of it.

But despite this OT April did have some really independent characteristics. She could drive a mortorcycle with a lot of ease, as well as a helecopter. She could even drive a huge van in a battel torn street while dodgeing missles, and shoot a rifle in the snipe postion and hit the target on the first shot. And she seemed on the whole alot more proactive and hands on than even Vernon was and he a guy.
