Does this comic/magazine exist?

To cut a long story short, I have a really early memory of my grandma buying me a comic/magazine, where Mikey is stuck in a dimension made out of pizza, or where everything looks like pizza, or something along the lines. It's a pretty fuzzy memory, but I definately remember something along those lines.

Anybody got any info on a potential comic/magazine that fits that description?

Oh, and I'm from the UK, so it was Hero Turtles...if that's any help...

Hi, I'm a new here also but I know exactly the comic you're talking about. It was printed in the UK Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles Adventures Series which mostly reprinted the US's Archie series but for a time periodicaly did their own stories too.

This story in particular had Mikey being injured and knocked unconcious in a battle with Shredder and co. When he wakes up he's in a planet were everything, the plants, the trees and the ground are all made of Pizza. Of course Mikey starts to eat everything in sight until the planets inhabitants (also made of Pizza) come along and manage to subdue him and take him to their city were he's put on trial.

Eventualy he's found guilty and sentenced to be made into a pizza himself. Mikey managed to escape by eating through the dock but while fighting his way out he's pushed into a giant vat and when he comes out he's been transformed into a Pizza person.

At that point he wakes up and realises it was all a dream and tells his brothers all about. The rest of the Turtles decide that after such a traumatic dream Mikey wont be able to stomach pizzas for a while so when April and Splinter arrive with some pizzas they try and hide them from Mikey until he pushes past them and starts to eat the pizzas. Confused, Leo asks how he can eat pizzas after his dream and Mikey replies that it will take more than a bad dream to turn him away form his favourite food.

was just a U.K thing or was this in the U.S as well?

I've had a look around and the issue in question was #61. I don't know were you could find a copy now. It was made by Fleetway Editions maybe they could help you out.

Sage, the comic was a UK thing. (Although it was published in other places in Europe.) Basicaly it came out every two weeks and would alternate between formats. One issue would reprint an issue of the Archie comic from the US and then the next issue would print two short stories written and drawn by UK people. Eventualy as the TMNT's popularity winded down the comic was published every month and cut out the original stories and just reprinted the Archie comics.

The UK stories were a canon of their own but done with the mostly the same characters and in the style of the old 'toon. The stories were generaly goofy but fun and they did come up with some good ones every now and then.

I'm just gonna have to scour e-bay and pray...alot! I just wanna see that comic strip again, to reminisce my childhood...reading that comic is pretty much one of my earliest memories.

From what I know, the first issue was published very early 1990, so issue 61 would have been dated as being somewhere around May 1993, right? It's a little fuzzy, but the memory I have of reading this comic wouldn't have been so late...so are you certain this is the correct number?

I'm most likely wrong, but yeah, I'm just trying to figure this one out :)

Also, I dug this up;

"In 1991, this Fleetway division was bought by Egmont, who merged it with their own British based comic publishing division, London Editions, to create Fleetway Editions. At some point after 2002 the name of Fleetway Editions ceased to be used by Egmont on its publications."

I'm guessing contacting Egmont will be pretty useless.

(I'm starting to sound fanatical about this comic now, hehe)
