The art on the sticker and instruction manual to the NES game TMNT III: The Manhattan Project is clearly derived from the TMNT otherworldly, intergalactic stint with the Triceratons, but was the island of Manhattan actually ripped from its terrestrial roots and levitated in the air as is depicted? Or was this all just an original concept implemented solely for the game?

The gamehad actually nothing to do with Mirage, Only the cover did. And thats not a new idea either, TMNT 1's cover ist he cover of second print of TMNT #4.

I figured the cover had nothing to do with the actual game in question (TMNT III: The Manhattan Project), plainly evident by the appearance of Casey Jones and a Triceraton. The turtles, who are interestingly sporting varied color bandanas in this image, are surrounded by an exorbitant amount of clearly human Foot soldiers and apparently a few Mousers. My question was directed toward the Manhattan island floating in the sky. Was this actually IN THE TMNT MIRAGE COMIC BOOK?

I realize the generous use of Mirage comic book art for the video game labels, such as the front and booklet to GameBoy's TMNT: Fall of the Foot Clan and NES's original TMNT. The latter had all four turtles sporting red bandanas and poised on some transportation launchpad.

There was actually one enemy in the game that was from the Mirage series. Anybody who has played it before many times will know that there are Fugitoids as enemies on the Technodrome and Spaceship levels. Why the creators made it that way, nobody knows.

Oh yeah, speaking of TMNT 3, today I just finished ripping, encoding, and tagging mp3s of the game music (so now that makes Hyperstone Heist and TMNT 3 in my collection, with more to come). But this time I don't have any place to upload to right now, so hopefully my fserve will be up soon if I can get it to work right....

Well I think I might be intrested in TMNT 3's music. I already have all the arcade ones in mp3. Hmmm I never noticed that they looked like fugitoid, but the robots thatt drops to the screen in egg like balls are from Mirage. They were robots that utroms had.

What I thought was really weird about TMNT 3 is that it had Bebop and Rocksteady AND Tokka and Rahzar. They don't even exist in the same TMNT universes and it made no sense to have Rahzar in the technodrome. Ah well, it was still a good game.

Well Tokka and Rahzar were in one ep of the cartoon.

The video games are basically interactive TMNT universes that incorporate things from not only the toon, but the movies and comics as well. The Fugitoids basically were there to pay homage to the Mirage series, as Tokka and Rahzar were there since the second movie was fairly new at the time.

Still the basics were from the Cartoon universe. Like robot foot soldiers and Technodrome.

I don't think they had a name in the comics, They were just Utrom's secuirity robots.
