A day late, but still....

I wrote yesterday on another forum, since it was Memorial Day an' all, and I'd just thought I'd share it with ya'll. Enjoy!


ON THIS, OUR MEMORIAL DAY:
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, pay respects to those men and women who have gone overseas and fought for our freedom.


They don't want to fight, They didn't want to serve, but these couragous men and women are putting THEIR lives on the line for us each and EVERY day so that we may behold what is Old Glory flying proudly in the sun of each buliding as we live our lives each day.

So, please, on this most solemn holiday, do not think of it as a day off from work or school...think of it proudly and thank any soldier you may see for giving us....OUR NATIONAL FREEDOM!

Yeah....*SIGH* My best friend Ian, after graduating high school with me and my classmates, he went straight into Iraq.


The family hasn't heard a thing. Now, maybe he's back, and maybe not...I'm keeping my fingers crossed that if he *IS* overseas, he comes home. *does so*
