You'd think it wouldn't be too much to ask to leave it be at it's 6AM WEEKEND SLOT. But no, CN couldn't leave well enough alone as usual.
Ninja Turtles 6AM rerun slot has been replaced by Totally Spies (which gets plenty of slots as it is).
Sure 6AM on weekends is a lowsy slot to begin with but it was all that was keeping that great show on CN and now it's gone just like so many other action shows before it. I'm counting the days before it ends up on Boomerang (if CN has a long term contract).
I have great desire to rip off the head of whoever gave the okay to drop TMNT from the line-up again. This show should be on Toonami. It's only once a week but at least it'd be at a watchable time.

I stopped watching CN sometime after Same as it Never Was. I got sick of them effing with the lineup of when it would and what episodes. So... I'd rather just stick to watching it mornings on Fox than anything.
Besides, CN has gone to hell anyway. I stopped watching that channel before TMNT because they couldn't keep decent cartoons on anyway. They can honestly eat sh*t and die for all I care.

I am not shocked at all. It is Cartoon Network's fault in the first place to put TMNT on the weekends at 6 AM. Not many people are awake at that hour. It is a recipe for disaster.

TMNT Fast Foward was originally annouced to air on CN (and 4kidsTV of course) so I don't think CN has dropped TMNT entirely yet but chances are they wont be showing season 4 at all nor the last 3 season 3 episodes they didn't show (but do have, as they had them scheduled before the 4kidsTV airings originally).

I remember reading on another site (SSG?) that the head of Cartoon Network thought that anime was the way to go. In light of that, im not surprised to see that Turtles is getting replaced, need to make room for another lame overseas cartoon you know? I stopped watching Cartoon Network, not because my cable was cut but because of how they always seemed to mess with the schedules for the best toons (in my opinion of course) they had like The Justice League, Teen Titans, and TMNT reruns.
I haven't watched cartoon network in ages. I don't follow today's cartoons at all and would pretty much only be interested in 80's toons for the most part and those are pretty much all coming out on dvd if they haven't already.
Sucks they keep jerking the time slot around. Figures.

I wish people would stop scapegoating anime on CN. TMNT was replaced by a French show in it's current slot.
I wont say CN doesn't air quite a bit of anime overall but it's actually a lot less than before and they'll have the youth anime market corned this Fall when KWB drops all anime and 4kidsTV will actually only be airing I think 3 and Jetix well... less at least by comparison of time that the block is on.
CN isn't actually going to put anime first except for on Toonami. Their current hype show is Ben 10 (Teen Titans before it). JLU, Megas XLR and Samurai Jack and the unfortunate fates to not "work" in their opinion. Ratings wise mostly. There was plenty of fandom for all of those and that's why at least Megas and Jack will be on CN's upcoming streaming service Toonami Jetstream.
Naruto, Pokemon and Zatch Bell (if that) will be the only anime on weekday CN this summer. 2-3 shows out of how many in the day? They're airing Xiaolin Showdown twice between 6PM and 10PM alone and their original comedies are being aired to ad-nausim as usual this summer. Ben 10 only has 17 episodes and it's getting an assured slot on Miguzi all summer along with extra slots in prime time throughout the summer (at various times).
What I don't understand is why wont CN just try TMNT in later hours. They always had it in the afternoon or in the morning. They never even tried it in the weakest spot (7:30PM) in Toonami. Which would have been a great slot to premiere season 4 in.
CN deserves a linching for not giving TMNT a good chance after it's initial run on Miguzi but anime isn't the problem. It's that acquisitions are just a drop in the bucket to them and they want their originals to do well. But FTR, Naruto is their best performing show right now. It stands a chance of doing as well as DBZ did in it's hay day.
Besides... 4kids made TMNT to be a bit anime-esque so it wouldn't stick out in their own anime powered block originally. There's no reason it couldn't air next to anime on CN. Infact a Naruto and Ninja Turtles hour would be the best hour of television all week no doubt about it (at least to me).

But I do have a suggestion of what to do if they still have the TMNT license though...
Create a network to air CN's earlier originals, WB's silver age 90's toons, the DCAU, Samurai Jack, Megas XLR, Teen Titans, Duck Dodgers and other shows that went the wayside with CN that they still have. On this channel TMNT could potentially air in prime time or even late nights and that would freak'n own.

If there's one thing that's worse than American shows copying anime style (which, honestly isn't too bad. Teen Titans kicks ass, and I like how TMNT and Invader Zim had some nods to the medium and made it their own), it's lame ass French cartoons trying to be american trying to be Japanese. Totally Spies is Garbage, Martin Mystery was garbage (and ruined a pretty good comic in the propsess), and Winx Club is what they make you watch in Hell if you commit genocide.
NAruto, Bo-Bobo, and (even though the Dub sucks nards) One Piece are very good shows. I hate the PokedigiyugiGX type crap they keep trying to force down 10 year old boy's throats so they can keep buying crappy toys, but I can't blame the whole country for that.
It'd be like someone lambasting American cartoons based on Loonatics, Care Bears, and those 1970's sitcom ripoff cartoons (the Barkleys, the Oddball couple...)

Codename: Kids Next Door and TMNT back to back would pwn everything on CN. Better to have two of the finer American products, blend of comedy and action apply to both, and both push the envelope.

KND pushes the envelop? What with the bra joke and such?
Meh...
But having TMNT at 4:30 on Miguzi would be fine by me (KND is at 4PM BTW) but it'd be a pitty for Zatch Bell to lose it's weekday slot. Though as much as I love Zatch Bell I of course love TMNT a LOT more.

...Not just that. But I know the show's love/hate with some people, I'd pick it over the overrated Naruto and Robot Boy anyday. Blech.

Someone should create a TV channel with the sole intent of running fantastic old 80s cartoons and the like. How great would that be? :D

Robot Boy is overrated? CN hardly airs that crap.
Naruto sadly the best thing on CN right now. I greatly enjoy it and I'm glad the dub turned out as well as it did but I will also agree that it's overrated. It's a good show but not as good as so many of the fans believe it to be. I consider One Piece vastly superior but it's dub is ****.

They already have one. It's called "Boomerang", and airs the CLASSIC cartoonS, mostly Hanna-Barbera ones, but at least they're better that SOME of the crud that CN has been running lately.
And I noticed that the idiots had pulled the guys again...after NINE MONTHS, and RIGHT in the middle of Season 3 (or thereabouts, anyway)! I usually set my clock for 5 AM (CST--MY time), get up and tape the eps. The time-slot WAS just a bit aggrevating, but not HALF as aggrvating to me as walking up at 4:55 AM this past Saturday morning, and suffering through the last 5 minutes of "Ed, Edd, and Eddy", only to be confronted by the those three idiotic airheads! Ooooooooo, if I could get to CN's website from these library comps, I'd give those lame-brains at CN a piece of my mind! They certainly can USE it!!!
*sighs* Well, at LEAST they're still on at their regular time, even if iT is ON 4Kids. I got to see them THEN, anyway.
Oh, and I don't know if y'all know this yet, but I read on the official TMNT website's Updates page that 4Kids will run the first three eps of "Fast Forward" starting July 29th, then they will RE-run them starting September 9th. So we get an advance preview of "FF"Just thought you'd all like to know.
Peace.

They point of this other channel would be to get the 90's and newer stuff off of Boomerang because they shouldn't have to air there. Boomerang should always be for vintage animation. Modern classics should get their own venue.

Well, that's true. It's about the ONLY place that I can USUALLY find the SWAT Kats anymore. Too bad my idiot cable provider doesn't eve CARRY "Boomerang"!
Anyway, I think I misunderstood your original post, Ninja Tiptup. Sorry. I think I was still kinda/sorta half-awake at the time.
Anyway, peace.
