What kind of new SF game do you wish they'd make?
They could do another "prequel trilogy" like the "Alpha" series, perhaps filling the gap between SFII and SFIII. I'd love to see characters from both 2 and 3 in an official new game, hopefully with some new characters and 2D versions of some of the cooler SFex characters (like Skullomania) as well. They should also have Final Fight's Mike Haggar so Zangief can finally settle his rivalry. The whole storyline should wrap up the loose ends from SFII and give the "New Generation" from SFIII it's proper intoduction.
They could do another upgrade. I know they've all been upgraded a million times, but it would be so cool if they each got one more upgrade with a story mode (actual story scenes between the fights), and an improved gameplay for SF1. Just a thought.
Or they could stop beating around the bush (but this is CAPCOM), and just do Street Fighter 4! Which of course would introduce another whole new cast (just like SFIII and, yes SFII) AND show us Ken and Ryu going through MIDDLE AGE (which would be really cool)! Plus SFIII ended with Ken training his son and Oro wanting to train Ryu and I'd love to see the Ken's kid in action and Ryu using Oro's moves in addition to his own.
Frankly, I hope they do all of the above, but if I had to choose I'd go the prequel route. Street Fighter Beta anyone?
At any rate I just hope the graphics are smoothly animated 2D sprites, like SFIII but high-resolution. And, that they save the 3D for the EX series.

I think they should make Street Fighter VS Mortal Kombat. They could have 2 different versions. A "T" rated game and an "M" rated game.

I always wanted a Super SF 2 remake using the Alpha graphics and fighting engine.

I don't want a new one. I just want that PS2 collection disc. Now.

Agreed! Imagine it...
Ryu vs. Sub-Zero
Yun vs. Smoke
and best of all....
GORO VS. BLANKA!!!
I always wanted a Super SF 2 remake using the Alpha graphics and fighting engine.
It'd also be easy for them to make. All they'd have to do is remove the non SFII characters from SFA3 and use the Super SF endings.

I picked Street Fighter 4 because I absolutlely LOVE Street Fighter 3, and I find ST III Second Impact and SF III Third Strike to be the BEST Street Fighter games ever. Much better than the rest by far.
So yeah, if SF IV ends up being even better than ST III, I swear, I'm going to get wet while playing it.

I would so love that too, but with the SF III graphics and fighting engine instead.

We need to send a link to this thread to Capcom because if that isn't motivation I don't know what is.

I want two things:
Versus Series: I never enjoyed a fighter quite so much as I enjoyed Marvel Versus Capcom 2, and it's predacessors. I mean, the game was FAAAST, furious, and hella' fun. Ryu, Spiderman, and Morrigan were my team. The games were a blast, and hardcore as well as button mashers could have fun together. The Versus series would be good way to keep the old characters in rotation too.
Street Fighter IV: Give us a new generation. I know everyone loves the classic characters, but I feel it's time to move on. Originality breeds new ideas, and new characters will bring new moves and stratigies to the series. If we could also get some of the old guys, I'd love that as long as it dosen't effect balance, but they're not a necessity. SFIII: Third Strike was quite possibly the greatest hardcore fighting game ever made....fu*k it, IS the greatest fighter ever made, but it took a ton of sh*t for abandoning a lot of the familarity people had with the other characters. I did at first too, but that's why the game is so goddamn good. it thought outside the box. It came up with new concepts, original characters with new movesets, and tweaked the engine to hardcore perfection. There's only so much you can do with the 2D formula, and most of the greatest new concepts come with new characters. Words cannot discribe SFIII3S's brilliance. I want them to build on what it started, but go all out. 2D artwork is beautiful, and I can't imagine Street Fighter with polygons, but Capcom cannot waste the hardware. I want fluid animation, all hand drawn, with at least six layers of moving backdrops, all hand painted, and the game in HIGH DEFINITION RESULUTION if Capcom knows the meaning of that. They've been sprite recycling for years and I'm sick of it.
As long as the game keeps the "dark hado, light hado" storyline, then I'm cool with it. Maybe Ryu can be included as an older character, but the series needs new blood to spill. I know a ton of people will be pissed if they have to let go of their old favourites, and I would have been too not too long ago, but Street Fighter needs to evolve. It can't work in 3D, so it needs t continue in the realm it knows best. Develop the storyline with new faces. Give us another generation.
....and do more versus games. DC Versus Capcom....Mortal Komat versus Capcom. I don't care. Use the versus series to keep the classic characters alive, but let new guys drive the core series. That's my opinon on the matter.

as long as there's someone with some range attacks, i'll be happy.

IMHO SFIII doesn't usually get enough respect (I do think an Alpha-esque gap-filler series might remedy that). I haven't played 3rd Strike yet but 2nd Impact is definately my favourite fighting game.

Ditto, Ditto, ditto!

Their abilities can be up to Shin-Gouki (Super Akuma) level and Ryu (who'd come after Ken) could also have Oro's moves as well as his own. A mature Yun and Yang could fullfill the "Dynamic-duo" role Ryu and Ken had and Ken's son and Sean could fill the "characters that play like Ryu and Ken" criteria. And, the rest of the cast could be all new.
I just wish Capcom knew what a big following Street Fighter has. They seem to be under the impression that there's not a big enough audience in making a new 2D game with new sprites.:(

Oh, they know about the fanbase. They're just cheap bastards who know they can milk it by producing rehashes and compliations and their fans will keep buying and buying in the vain hope that they will eventually be something new. That's why I hate Capcom.

Now that would be a cool concept. You versus the old masta'.

That is an excellent idea! I would so love that. It's about time Ryu and Ken enter "boss" status.
As for an idea of a new fighter for the new generation, I feel Ryona would be an excellent choice. :D

As long as a new generation doesn't forget what came before... You can only change things up so much before it doesn't even feel like the original franchise. One of the reason I was very glad for Ryu, Ken and eventually Chun-Li being in SF3. Still...
That is an excellent idea! I would so love that. It's about time Ryu and Ken enter "boss" status.
That would certainly keep things feeling like Street Fighter.
Perhaps have one of Chun-Li's adopted children enter the tournament as a playable character, with Chun-Li as his or her mentor.
As for another Vs. series... I'd love that, especially if Capcom approached DC Comics about it.
Before SFIV comes out, we need MVC3.
That's what I think.:D
