So I was going to visit my girlfriend today. I went to the train station to wait for thr train. I got there late and I missed the train, so I had to wait for the next one. I called her to tell her and was sitting in the waiting room. I went outside to call my Mom and a black homeless guy ran up to me with a butterfly knife, pointed it at my gut and asked me for my money. I dropped my phone and handed it over. I only had 41 bucks. I needed every dollar of that for the train ride to my girlfriend and back.
I called the person who dropped me off and they came back and got me. We went into a near by cafe' and used their phone to call the police. The police came and took me on a ride in the backseat around the area to help look for the guy. We looked for an hour and found nothing. I gave them a pretty good description too.
I lost my money but atleast I'm alright. Scary experience I'd not like to never experience again.

I got hit on film yeah, and then last Wednsday some lady ran me over when she backed out of her drive way. I had a bad week. She drove over my body*Like I was under the car but the tires didn't touch me* and away like nothing happened at all. No luck catching her either.
Thanks Pain me too ><
Oh man, you got ganked. Sorry to hear that, man. Glad I haven't experienced that yet. I probably will eventually, though.

Yeah, man, that's no fun. I'd say you've been given enough motivation to become a superhero or vigilante... but I dunno if the criminal element would be ready for something like that. I might take pity on them.
Glad you're ok...i've been robbed (attempted) as well at knifepoint...i was walking home at night (and anybody from the Miami area knows that walking at night by the basketball arena in downtown is a pretty stupid idea...) when two guys rolled up on me riding bikes...they slowed down, showed the knife, and before they could say anything, I RAN...i ran as fast as i ever have before...it was just an instinct...they gave chase for a bit but I hopped a fence and jumped another fence to sneak on a train...scariest moments in my life EVER...
I'm glad you're ok, Spitfire. I know firsthand how scary it is. My first reaction was insane fear. My second reaction was a burning vigilante anger that makes me love Casey Jones a little more. ;) I think the best thing you can do is talk about it, and try not to let it affect your day to day behavior. What I did, was finally join the neighborhood watch like I'd been meaning to for years. It's satisfying to patrol the streets.
Three guys tried to rob me at gunpoint. I kicked their asses with my kung-fu powah.
Ok, I didn't. But I ran, and I made a scene, and through God's grace I'm still here. It was stupid, what I did, but at the same time, I knew that lately around here they tend to shoot you after they get what they want. :p What you did, though, that was the right and smart thing to do in your situation, and you should feel confident about that.

I am so sorry Spitfire....Where I live, there are lots of drugs and crime because it is in a poor part of town. Anyways, a car got stolen out of the apartment complex's parking lot. There have been other robberies as well. I have been stalked twice in my life...once in Colorado and once in Oregon. The one in Colorado was scarier than the one in Oregon.
The story to the one in Colorado:
In the student center on the university campus, someone would call out my nickname. I would stop and listen in order to place where the sound was coming from. I could not place so I did not think much of it. Then they were calling me from an unlisted phone number every night. For some reason, they even signed me up for online dating service. This went on for 6 weeks...I was scared for my life. I could not go to the campus police even though some of the incidents happened on campus grounds because I lived off-campus, so I had to turn to the city police. I kept a baseball bat underneath my bed for protection. I even hacked into the online dating service to determine who set me up and did some investigations of my own. I even told the police that I may have a lead on my situation. The police chief even asked me if I would like to have a job as a cyber detective. Anyways, they went to get who I thought was the stalker but it turned out that he was as inoccent as I was. Two of his buddies, fellow college students, were playing match-maker on me and him.
In Paris, I was with a group of friends, and some people tried to push us down in order to get our money. I was very smart to put a patch with my USA money, credit cards, and passport underneath my clothes. I had a fanny pack that had some French money, but not very much.

That sucks, but at least you're alright.
I've never been mugged myself, though my father was mugged and beat up once in France.

Thanks guys, yeah I was upset about it. But more worried that he would rob or hurt other people. Since the cop told me he robbed a store with an old gun the week before. I wish I could ran but the set up had me backed into a corner. Oh well. Like youall said I'm glad I'm alright.

Yeah, I'm just glad you're safe. That's what really matters. I'd also like to hit that bastard with a baseball bat a few times though.

Dude, that totally sucks. I'm glad I live where I do. Rich kids and preps. The only thing I have to worry about is having my pride obliterated when they ride by in their Benz.

That's good that you're safe, Spitfire. At least the bum didn't hurt you. I'm glad I don't have to worry about crazy people like that when I walk to and from school and ride my skateboard around the neighborhood.
If a hobo like that ever threatens me with a knife and surronds me, I'll just kick him in his leg, take his knife, throw it out of his reach and be like, "Go away, ya hobo. The city doesn't need lawbreakers like you around here." He'd probably run away after that cuz he'd get scared. I'd casually walk away like nothing happened.

Aw I wish you lived by me TMB I could have a baseball bat weilding guardian angel.
Little update, the police called me and told me they have a possible suspect so their going to pick me up tommrow and have me ID him. I'm kinda nervous, I mean if it is really him.
Don't worry, the police are used to people being nervous! And he can't do anything to you.

Thats good, I had a feeling reading the first post that they would catch him. They usually all eventually get caught.
And obviously it's cool you didn't get hurt but sucks you got money stolen.

Even better would be if you blocked his exit after grabbing the knife and just cut yourself a little, and licked off the blood. That would really freak him out.

I've never really thought of that. Thanks for the idea; I probably wouldn't have to say anything to the bum if I did what you suggested. :)
