And it looks old toon! Sweet? I'd say so. August is around the same time the next new toon DVD comes out too.

Blast From The Past
Leatherhead
Michaelangelo's Birthday
Usagi Yojimbo

Meh, the cover art seems to me like more of the same ****. Episode line-up is superb, though.

Better then the same stock photo crap and ripped off poses from the new show we had before.

Still, it's obvious they're trying to fool little kids into thinking these are new toon DVDs...I dunno, Raphael just doesn't look right in that pic. Sure, it's better than the previous DVD covers, and finally they replaced the new toon's brown pads with bandana-coloured ones, but it still isn't respectful enough to our beloved old cartoon. The only good cover was that of Volume 1, and that's the truth.

whoa, all of those episodes are awesome. They're all my faves. :) Even the Hot Kimono episode was cool just because of that 'Kimono Sam is your man' commercial the turtles made. LOL
The cover looks alot better than the past covers.

With the old school logo? Could've fooled me mister.
This looks better than 90% of the previous covers, Star Wars fans complain about George Lucas, we complain about covers. Unbeleivable.

With the exception of the first cover, these are all u-g-l-y! Seriously, talk about messing up a classic. I would have been happy if they reused the classic covers instead of this joke of an artist. Whats up with Raphael, he looks like he dislocated/broke his left arm! Jeez, they need to use someone with some drawing experience. :-?

How're they messed up? They're watchable aren't they? And of course they're going to try and get kids in, they're a big company who wants to make money, but at least they're a big company that puts out a decent product.

That cover looks all right to me. Raph's expression makes him look very serious. I feel behind in terms of the DVDs cuz I didn't get Volume Four yet cuz my local Best Buy hasn't re-stocked 'em yet. Hopefully they'll have Volume Four when Volume Five comes out, so I can buy both at the same time.
The episode I'm really looking forward to is Corporate Raiders From Ddimension X. I've seen that one before and it was a really good episode. That's so funny when Casey goes to apply for a job. I'd say that's the favorite episode of mine on the disc.

I beg to differ. I don't remember the old toon turtles having such prominent chins.

Well seeing as one of the covers was just Donatello's face extremelt zoomed in, this one is an improvement.
As for the pic, not just Raph's chin, look at his chest shellplate. What happened to the rest of it?

Meh, whatever. An old toon DVD semi-packaged to look like new ones is better than no DVD at all. :ohwell:

Why not just use the old artwork from all the old Turtles VHS tapes? I'd rather that than this wierd-looking crap...

I have a feeling they may have lost the rights to that artwork, FHE (not Lions Gate Entertainment) distributed the tapes.

Well, I never had a problem with any of the covers. The DVDs are all pretty cheap and they all have a ton of episodes on them, so who cares about the covers?
That said, this is probably the worst cover yet.

yea I agree with you I don't really care but it is bad art work...it looks like how the turtles would look if they had been on family guy with that nutsack chin lol

What I think should happen is:
Once all Season 3 involved volumes have been released, shortly after having done that, they release all of those volumes in a box set and include a bonus disc of which blows the Turtles wide open!
You know; interviews with the people behind the Turtles, toy commercials, retro videogame playing hints etc.

Hey it could be worse. It least it's not as bad the horrible artwork from vol 3 and 4. And nowhere as bad as the crappy artwork from the first Mega Man game. http://www.videogamedb.com/i/games/megaman1.jpg
Glad to know I'm not the only one hating that cover art...

You guys whine to much, for one it's just cover art for a DVD not like it makes that big of a difference. Does it affect the content? No. Is it better then the crap we got before? I'd say so. So can it, if your so much better then them go to Lion's Gate and ask for a job, e-mail them, or make your own covers and print them out. Either fix the problem yourself or shut up. I hate it when people sit there and whine about crap and do nothing to fix it themselves.

I don't detest the artwork, but it does look dodgy, with that chin lol.

I'm stocked to all hell that we are getting another volume of the classic TMNT on dvd. Is long as i'm getting the episodes i'm one happy fan girl :D.
To be honest I don't really care what the cover looks like just so long as they actually put the effert of restoring the episodes to dvd quality, and heck a few extra's wouldn't hurt eighther. I'm just wondering, after we past all the huge episode number seasons and we go back to the standard 20, 16, 14 episode count season, will they go back to their once a year release crap again :o . Because if you have to wait a year for some of the lesser qualty saesons that probably will kill it :dead:
