Previews are up of Vol 4 #28 and Tales of Leo Blind Sight #1! :D

In Vol 4 it looks like Michelangelo is finally having his teeth fixed!

Also:
People mysteriously disappear on city streets. Leonardo gets into hot water in the Battle Nexus while encountering an enigma. Mike gets a tour of a Triceraton spacecraft.

I'm suprised you didn't mention the new type font of the tmnt logo...I'm not sure if I dig that it's rather fastforwardish/ spaceish ...

I like the new logo. It's different. I'm also really looking forward to this issue. The last 4 or 5 issues of Vol. 4 have been great.

This, combined with Tales of Leo, and the next few Tales looking awesome is great news for TMNT comic fans.

To be honest I didn't even notice it at first but a couple people in one of the hubs in DC++ noticed it and liked it.

I like it...it has a bit of a Native American feel to it.

when I saw it I was glad for the sake of Mike's teeth ......but I hope that the newTMNT logo doesn't mean more weird changes both toon and comic:ohwell:

Good stuff on the logo change. It's actually pretty slick-looking. And it's about time they fixed Mikey's teeth. Anyway, it's weird how the previews don't mention Shredder, but they say Leo fights "an enigma" (plus, there's no preview shots of Shredder in there).

I hope business picks up a little more, with this issue. It's about time the story started to progress.

I picked up the issue yesterday. I kinda wish more happen with the four turtles in each issue, there was no mention of Raph or Don!

The whole Oruko Yoshi as Shredder was interesting, but of course they didn't go in depth at all.

Meanwhile, Mikey is hanging out in space with Triceratons who studied their fighting styles in the arena and learned a quasi-ninjitsu. Its interesting but slow, slow, slow.

I mean honestly, how hard would it be to make this book monthly? Thats what it needs more than anything.

i enjoyed it. i like the slow pace of the actual book, but i agree, it would be great if it came out more often. i went back and read the whole series a few months ago and it reads great when you have 25+ issues to read at your liesure. i really think this series would be presented best as nice, thick graphic novels with ten or twelve of the issues each.

anyway, about this specific issues, i'm loving leo being at the battle nexus. i'm not as into mikey with the triceratons. i don't even really know why, it just seems kind of corny that the turtles have become heroes to young triceratons.

Just read it and I liked it quite a bit. Laird has the opportunity to do something really interesting with Mikey here. He could very well have Mikey working FOR the Triceratons AGAINST the Utroms in order to gain the Transmat technology. I can't help but think that Mikey is being lied to by the Triceratons in order to gain his "insider" access to the Utroms. This could be a very interesting story to watch develop.

I liked Leo's story too. I hope more info is given concerning Oroku Yoshi.

Here's my review:

TMNT (4th series) #28: Well, the big selling-point for this issue was The Return of the Shredder! Regretfully, that aspect of the story got overshadowed by Mike’s story. Still, we at least found out the identity of this Shredder, and I am very intrigued. Maybe next issue they’ll cover it more in-depth (waiting 2 months is gonna be hard). I may not be Jim Lawson’s biggest fan, but I will say this; he draws a damn-good Shredder. Well, the bulk of the issue focuses on Mike’s story, bringing us up to speed on Triceraton history since Volume 1 of the comic. The segment isn’t very action-packed, but it makes for an engaging history lesson for people acquainted with the extensive comic book mythos. It also casts a new light on the previously 2-dimensional Triceratons. While this issue felt like sort of a tease, it’s definitely got me geared-up for the next installment. So kudos for that.

Another solid issue, but I agree with others who say this book would be better coming out monthly. I find I have to re-read the past 3 issues to jog my memory. The letter pages were interesting as usual.

Hopefully the next issue will delve more into Yoshi's past and how he's related to the previous shredder....he's gotta be since he's of the same clan. Either way...he's cute. :evilgrin:

And speaking of other cute things... Midget ninja Triceratons! *hugs her Triceratops plushie*

I like how the TMNT inspired the Triceratons so much that there's a cartoon about em on the homeworlds. :lol:

I was happy to see that this issue made references to very old TMNT issues.
Somehow, it helps remind me that I'm reading an official TMNT comic that is the continuity of the VOL.1 Mirage comics. A small consolation for the lack of material and sluggish pace of the current comics.
Mikey's story seems to have a lot of potential. At first, it seemed like an isolated story that's not connected to Earth and Utroms, but with this, it seems things might just get more interesting.
