About a month ago, Sassyblondexoxo put in a request for some 'Plague' artwork. Well, I finally got off my proverbial fanny and sketched her something, based on chapter four of her marvelous story.

The pic's a bit big, I'm afraid. Sorry about that. :toops:

So... what do y'all think?

... fingernails? :teek: They look... odd. Very human in fact.

And I don't like what you have done with his arms, they are so bizarre. His right elbow looks as if it was dislocated - at least the pad suggests so. Looks like the perspective needs a refining touch.

But the pencil shading is quite cool and the pic is rather dynamic in overall.

I agree with SewerBull that the arm looks a bit dislocated, but I really like your shading and his face - it looks painful...

Thanks for the comments, Jo and Garou (love the icon, by the way ^_~)! I'm glad y'all liked it.

Lol I can’t help it in regards to the fingernails. I remember seeing them in one of the cannon versions (maybe the movies?) and liked it so much that I have to incorporate them into all my TMNT sketches. Besides, real turtles have claws, so it’s not much of a stretch to give them human-esque nails.

I agree with you that his right elbow pad is too far over to the side, but the elbow itself is fine (I drew him without the pads first). And just out of curiosity, what don’t you like about the arms? Is it because of the sharply defined musculature? I admit that I might have gotten a little carried away with the shading, but the shape of them is not out of the realm of possibility, considering their lifetime of hard physical training.

I’m not trying to be argumentative, since I value y’alls opinions and appreciate constructive criticism. How else will I improve, after all? ;) I’m just honestly curious.

Anyways, thanks for the comment, chico! ‘Tis appreciated. :D

I really like the pic. I think it was much work for you to draw it?!

Additionally I don't have a problem with the nails. Even in the movies they had them and it looks more human. I like it and I think it fits the turtles, so they seem more realistic.
