So says www.ninjaturtles.com. Check it out. i for one never read the Mirage series (In fact, this NEWEST Mirage series is my first crask at it in years) but I do have a book which reprints, in color, the story featuring Shredder crashing into April's Store, Leo being bushwacked, etc (this story also is resembled in TMNT The Movie, am I right??)

So, anyways, for those of you who DID read the first Mirage series, and seen the first movie, do the descriptions of the newest episodes resemble the series more or the movie? It seems to me the first few episodes of the Old cartoon also resemble the mriage series then drifts away from it quickly. Also, was April never a reporter in the mirage series?

Thanks all!

There are already posts about this. It's been know for a while anyway that the new series will be based more off the original Mirage series.

they used the return to new york story arc from the old mirage series for the new series

"So, anyways, for those of you who DID read the first Mirage series, and seen the first movie, do the descriptions of the newest episodes resemble the series more or the movie?"
Well, the movie was adapted from the comics, and the new cartoon episodes are based on the comics, some storylines taken directly from there. That's why they seem similar, they both have the same roots.

"Also, was April never a reporter in the mirage series?"
Not that I can remember. Wait, she was in a few of the guest comics, but those aren't part of the central Mirage continuum.

i agree with the last post. actually, the first movie just ended on showtime hehe ("check the east warehouse, over on lairdman island", haha). the movie combined #1, the rapheal and leonardo one-shots, #10, #11, and the return to new york story arc (19-21). the leonardo one-shot is my favorite comic. its awesome. im guessing the new cartoon will prolly follow the comics better than the movie did tho

as for april, as lots of people know, she was never a reporter in the comics. she was the lab assistant of baxter stockman. she never seemed to hvae a job after that in the comics, now that i think about it...lazy bitch! hehe

somewhere peter laird said that his favorite comic was the donatello one-shot (prolly just b/c hes a huge kirby fan), and he said the new cartoon of it is doing really good.

True it's based on Mirage, but don't expect a direct conversion. After all it's a children's show.

As for April, like Kali said, in official continium she has never been a reporter.
