Here is somthing I did in an hour or so, just to kill alittle time and test a walking animation template I had made for a future game (non TMNT related).
I drew a footsoldier to test the animation out.
Its nothing amazing, even alittle crude but you get the jist of it.

I like it. Thats the way they walk like in the videogames. I've been trying to look for more moving sprites of the Foot or Shredder. Cheers!

Yeah, I noticed that too, they move like the original arcade game.
That was infact unintentional, but I like it.

Wow actually that's really cool. I like the style of him. Doesn't look JUST like a Foot Solider but still obviously is one. Very cool.

Hey pretty good job !
Looks great. The only little problem would be the head, she would just need to get bit smaller, but outside of that, its awsome.

Haha actually I like the head all weird like that. Reminds me of that crazy art style people use where things are all gothicy looking and everything is out of purportion.

Hey your right ! It does look like that !
The head also reminds me a bit of the little ghosts in Mario Bros. Funny foot soldier indeed.

:o Wow! I'm greatly impressed by your pixel art skills and sense of animation!
How many frames is that Foot soldier animation? It looks really smooth.
So, are you working on or planning to work on a TMNT video game?
There's a TMNT RPG I'm working on and off on. If you're interested, you could help me out with it. :)

It cycles a bit fast (makes the upper body motion look a bit odd), but I like it. Great pixel art, too. :twink:

Its not designed to be in proportion and is only a 1 hour doodle (including the animation), the animation was intended for a cartoon style character. Using a foot soldier was just somthing I did for the hell of it, character I intend on using would have large heads.

The animation speed can be adjusted in the game maker itself, but without showing its movement pattern or path I havnt done it properly yet.

The foot soldier is 6 frames.
I've worked on TMNT games before, to replicate the old scrolling beat em ups. That was many years ago though. One day I may attempt a TMNT fan-game. But i'm busy with other creations.
As for a collaboration, I've got other things to do so I cannot comit to anything at this time. But out of interest are you by any chance using RPG Maker?

Well, I was originally going to use Game Maker since I'm also working on a side-scrolling, SNES-style game, but a number of people have told me that RPG Maker would be easier for the TMNT RPG, so I'm thinking about using it.
If you're interested on what I've done for the TMNT RPG so far, here's a link with some sprite work for the game.

Oh, and I was wondering... Did you make that stuff in your website? Very cool stuff. :)

Very nice sprites, really good.
As to if I made the stuff on my website, yep. All artwork was done by me.
Pretty crappy and dated now, I don't like it all too much, but it was unique at the time.

Well, I think it all looks great. I like the interactivity of your site. :)
And I'm betting you made your avatar too. It's cute. ^_^

I really like the type of look your sprites have Ryona, with that kinda cutesy look.
