Definitely! It is a much darker game, and compared to the old SNES one (which is still a good game), the animations in the attacks are more fluid, as well as the style in the backgrounds is more turtle noir-like. Also, you get to choose to have the cartoony colors on the turtles or a darker comic book feel to them. They still have the multi-colored bandanas, mind you, but their skin is darker. Great game that we pull out and play every once n a while.

Well it is pretty much a clone of TMNT in time, but it has new maps too. It isn't that bad game.

Yeah, but the first thing I noticed when playing it was that the animations on the Genesis one spoted more frames on the swings. On Turtles in Time Leo was poised for a swing in one frame and down with his blade in the next. Hyperstone just made the attacks look sweeter, and I remember being a big fan of smooth animation since the old aladdin game came out for Sega.

Yeah that probably true.
And I forgot to mention before but this is in wrong forum.... General TMNT is the place for these.

Ok, Heist is the same as time except for the storyline and levels....so it is like they had 2 different turtle in time games...So it is worth getting, as it is fun to play

I think you shoudl go ahead and get it...not just to play but just to say you have it in your TMNT Collection....most of the time I buy TMNT stuff just because I dont have it....it is a good game too...well worth a buy...but it might be best to try it out on an emulator...how much is it?

Hyperstone Heist for the ol Genny was quite cool. One of the last of the dying side scroller beat em ups(a genre thatneeds to return!)
I thought this was TMNT 5, but then soon found out it was a port of Turtles in Time with some new levels. But, the semantics are a bit screwy on TMNT games...
The first ever original TMNT game came out in the late Summer/early Fall for the NES. A month later also "TMNT" came out to the arcade...but a year later was retitled "TMNT 2"? Then a year after that came TMNT Turtles in Time in the arcades, the ture sequel to the first arcade game...but wait!
Around htis time "TMNT 3 the Manhattan Project" (Not to be confiused with the much different game of the same name for the PC) Was released for the NES...followed by Turtles in Time but which was retitled "TMNT 4" for the SNES...then around the same time Turtles in Time came out for the Genesis, but was called Hyperstone Heist.
A year later that pretty cool TMNT Tournament Fighters came out...and well, that was about it for TMNT games sadly. I realize now days a new TMNT game would be 3d, but darn...imagine if a TMNT side scroller beat em up could look like Bouncer, but with the play mechanics of the original arcade one? Oh yeah!

TMNT 2 was just the name of the nes conversion. True TMNT 2 would be the TMNT in time.
