A while back I stumbled upon this great show, they review comics.

I watched the first part about games, that guy is a tool. Frankly, I'm insulted, ONCE AGAIN, by people who do game segments on shows, or videogame shows all together.

Why's that? Since I'm not the big expert on games and since I'm more or less interested in the subject, I'd like to know details (also, journalism's a terrible, terrible disease).

On the whole thing: While there are funnier and more witty things out there, I certainly enjoyed the first episode. I mean, a show about geek-stuff including comic books can't be too bad. So naturally, I enjoyed the comic talk best. The rest was more blah, like the cosplay corner's totally useless for me and I can't be a big judge on video games. And I completely skipped over the interview with the action figure-guy, since that doesn't interest me at all. But I'm off to watch the other episodes now.

Oh, and by the way: If you want all the episodes in MOV-format, go to www.geek-week.net. There you'll also find the second episode.

Because it just seems like they get morons with the littlest amount of videogame knowledge possible to do these things. Not only that, but for some reason they have to be un-funny and try desperately to be hilarious. Even worse, they usually get someone with a personal bias. Either that, or just someone who knows nothing.

It's sad for me to admit, but real videogame players don't belong on TV shows, at least for the most part. Which is an explaination as to why almost everyone on videogame tv shows are complete tools.

The best videogame tv show ever, Dave and Steve's Videogame Explosion, which was not only funny as hell, but had real game players giving brutally honest reviews about games, got cancelled because the the hosts weren't physically attractive and they didn't think they could hold the show up by themselves. Quite sickening.

Hey, I suffer from it too. I mean, I just have to know stuff. I feel like I'll die if I don't know everything. But at the same time, kicking ass on a journalistical level is sooo good.
