Ultimate Ninja and Drako

I haven't read any of the comics, so can any one help me. Did Drako and the Ultimate Ninja appear in the comics or were they created for the show?? what about the whole Battle Nexus thing??

Drako and Ultimate Ninja were both created for the new show.

The Battle Nexus is in the comics though. In the current series (Vol. 4) Leonardo is in the Battle Nexus.
