In the FF season, it apears all the turtles are differnt hieghts now. Am I the only bugged out by it :ohwell: ?
I mean it seems that Raphael is now the tallest out of all them and even bit more muscular as well. How do the hieights go now? It seems Raphs the tallest and Donatello is the shortest (maybe i can't really tell).

Michelangelo is the shortest actually.
The official FF heights are:
Leonardo: 5' 4"
Donatello: 5' 4"
Raphael: 5' 5"
Michelangelo: 5' 3"
This is on the packaging of the action figures... and you really notice it too... FF Raphael towers over my other figures...he's just as tall as my Casey Jones figure!

why the heck did they have to change the heights on the turtles. I know this is just a nit-pick but little changes like that are unnesscariy. I mean I'm not compeltely opposed to them being different heights and all, it distigishes them, like their different skin tones. But If they wanted to make them all different heights why didn't they just do it from the start, instead of changing them in the middle of the series.
And I don't know but in FF did they change their skin tones as well too? Or is that just the different animation style at work?

Someone forgot to tell them not to animate the turtles on a 1:1 inch-to-foot scale.

Frankly, I hadn't noticed the change at all, so it can't be that apparent. And even if it is, this is the start of a whole new series; the tone of the show has changed, the animation has changed, and the setting has changed...So modifying the Turtles' heights isn't that big a deal, in my eyes.

I hate the hieght change really. I don't see the point in it, it didn't do anything for the characters, why did they do that?

I guess to make things seems a little more realistic? I don't know but I think it's a dumb move also...even though they all would more than likely not be the same height.

its realistic. My older sister and i are the same height and my little sister seems like she is going to be the same height as us as well.
Although i really think they gave the turtles different skin tones in fast Foward than how they where in previous seasons. The turtles where such pretty shades of green, especially Leonardo, now they seem to be some kind of yellowish mucus green :dead: eww

but the thing is they very well could be differtn hieghts because they aren't of the same mother...if we are going to get technical. lol:lol:

It could just be explained that they're maturing and been hitting growth spurts since the previous season ....

And they seem to have each adopted a different shade of green, too. 'Reminds me of the "Comic" colouring from the SNES version of Turtles in Time, now that I think about it.

I felt like that compared to a lot of people when I was 15/16. It's not like I was really short since I was around 5' 6, just a lot of people seem to hit growth spurts and get taller :D

Their colouring has always been like that!
The colours are:
Leo: Light/Grass Green
Don: Brownish Green
Raph: Forest Green
Mikey: Blue Green
They've always been different shades of green :P Their colouring didn't change. Splinter changed from being a blue agouti self (all one colour) rat to being an agouti blue Berkshire (white stomache).

I kind of disagree on Leonardo and Mikey. Leo was kind of a emerald green and Mikey was sort of a lighter tone of forest green--or maybe a jade green, not blue green, like he seems to be now. I noticed that Mikey and Raph have the darkest green tone of the turtles, and I always took that as maybe the two of them came fro the same littler or some thing.
As for the hieghts, I guess it could be explained away as the turtles hitting growth spurts. But based on the picture of the turtles all standing together it does seem that Mikey has shrunk. They just don't look porportioned any more :ohwell:

Yes, they have always had different colors in the series. This is my take on them.
Leo: I have always seen him as being an emerald green ^^
Raph: Hunter green
Don: Olive green
Mikey: Pine green, or perhaps a light sea green.
And now Leo and Don are the same height as me; 5'4".

I went to the Radio Disney meet and greet thing at the mall... met Don and Mike.... one of the first things I noticed was their heights.... it reminded me of this discussion.
Funny.. Mike seems a bit taller than Don in person.... Don was at least 5ft...

yeah that seems more acurate as far as the colors of the turtles goes, Mikey is pine green...or a sea geen...anyway they all where very pretty colors. I think Donatello is the turtle with the most different skin color compared to the other turtles. His green has more of brown tone to it than the others, or perhaps it just lighter in color. I bet it was pretty hard fooling Splinter when they where younger with their different skin tones. But I hate their skin tones now blah :dead:

I don't mind the turtles being on the lower five foot spectrum of the height scale. And being tall doesn't mean your more capable of kicking ass than a shorter person. in fact i think its nice that the turtles universe breaks the mold of th supper hero males being six foot plus battling giants.

The way the heights have panned out is reminecent of the motion pictures of the 90's. Remember how much shorter Michealangelo was compared to all the other characters, including April?
But the different heights is actually kind of cool. Why not have different heights? They all have different shades of green, personalities, voices and weapons choices, so might as well make it a well rounded show, huh!

What about poor Splinter? He's like 1' now, everytime he's next to his kids he looks squished.

With the new animation style the show is going to adopt in fall 2008, do you think the the turtles will still be diffrent heights like they where in FF, or do you think they will all go back to being the same height like they where in the first five season of the show? Or do you think they will mix up the hieghts of the turtles this time around, and make maybe Donatello the tallest and Raphael second tallest or something?

Yep, Mikey shrunk.

I wonder, since the turtles are supposed to look more like the CGI movie turtles, if they will make the turtles diffrent body types as well as heights. In the movie Raphael was the most muscular of the the turtles and Leo, although muscular looked like his muscle tone was alot leaner, and Mikey was and Don where more skinny. I wouldn't really mind this, but I sort of got used to the 2k3 turtles being beefy and big, like weight lifters. So I hope they don't them too gangly and scrawny.
THAT is exactly what I'm worrying about.
Just because it's CGI doesn't mean it's always right. For example, in the moive, Leo grew taller than Raph. That can't happen in the real world. Leo can grow for sure, but he can't grow taller than Raph. Because Raph can grow too. That doesn't make sense. I'm still anal about the height part, because I'm as wont to the FF mode as you to 2k3. But should they are following the CGI we have to let them do that anway. We can still keep our own opinion and we keep supporting TMNT, because how we love them, they are always our OTP.
On the other hand... =_- Why did Leo not recognize the nightwatcher is Raph? Even Casey did at the first sight. Does that mean Leo have less IQ than Casey? Again since they are so close brothers, how came Leo fail to recognize his actions by fighting with Raph? Then Donnie said "That'll make her your Mum too..." when Mikey teased with him, it was actually an un-Donnie response. Otherwise how could it be possible that Don know not genetic heredity only happens in blood relations since they are not blood brothers? Does that mean Don have the same IQ as Mikey since he talked with him too often? Oh God... I got so many questions. o_O Is that a good thing?

I think Casey probably knew it was raph before even seeing him. It makes sense. They are both vigilantes and best friends. Leo had been away forever and it was the first time he had ever seen nightwatcher.

I agree, Leo didn't really have the opportunity to reflect on who the nightwatcher could have been, or anything. Actually.. they didn't really give any indication that Donatello knew who the nightwatcher was, so it doesn't seem to be an indication of intelligence.
That Don had no idea who was nightwatcher could be related to that he was kept bussy all day long and had little time to notice where Raph had been. Again, high intelligence doesn't necessarily mean being observing in practice. Many good at books in their fields, are, on the other hand, weak men. It's the balance of universe.
Leo had a direct contact with Raph, however, how could he be excuse? Again, being a good leader, the utmost merit is the acute observation, so as to make less mistake on desicion and avoid from assumption. Maybe he was not ready. As he realized that something is missing, I was sure coming back for him, for his family, was way too premature.
Yeah, I'm mutated. Thank you T-Drome, thank you CCTV, thank you Channel V, thank you every body, I love you!*clapping*

I believe the Daizenshuu states Son Goku to be around 5'7, and he's one of the strongest fictional characters ever concieved.
And as Stephen pointed out, Yoda.
Size does not equal strength, especially in fiction.
