Tales of Leo, blind sight pt 3 out today!

Walked into my local comic store where i have an account, and Mike (the owner) pulls out Tales of Leo pt 3!! get in! noteven a preview (well i never saw one last night!) got it sitting in front of me right noe, aint even read it! just thought i'd let y'all know...

So How is it?

At last, something else than silhouettes.
Also, this story somehow reminds of "The Last Samurai" (concept of family, shy wife and all). You'll understand if you read.
There is a nice amount of violence too! I'm not going to complain about it, eheheh.
However, the story feels extremely short, even for 28 pages.
I think the next issue will be quite interesting.

BTW, there is a preview for Tales of TMNT... at last! We'll be getting an issue about April's quest for identity! I was waiting for that.

its quite strange... just wait for splinter's "infini-tea" !

i enjoyed it though, rather violent, which was nice!

and i see what Tigerfrog means by it feeling quite short, i've thought that with all the blindsight issues, i feel that (although i think its great) the artwork kinda just breezes by!

Hey thanks so much for the heads up guys I ran down the street to the comic shop here on sunset Blvd. and sure enough they had 2 copies now only one ;)
Let me just I really enjoy this and I hope they keep doing more like this for other characters because it's a great idea and isn't done enough in the turtles world.
Ok the diolog was a bit odd though but I can understand Leonardo not really trust Splinter after what he did to him in the woods and what with him loosing his vision and all....but I sure do wonder whats in that tea lol cause um if it transports you to other lands sign me up!
And wowza Leo just up and got a quantum leap put on his ass lol!
Is that what anyone else thought when they where reading this issue?
I'm actully quite sad it ends next issue I may not like Lawsons art work but it's grown on me.
I was shocked to se all of the violence in the issue though...I mean we really have never seen such violence in any TMNT comics it's a great thing and all just shocking is all.

Wow! That was an awesome issue! I wish Leonardo's wife had been named tho....meh...I looked up his daughter's name and Yumi is the Japanese word for Beauty.

But woohoo... Leo got some....that's definatly the first time we've seen any of the turtles in bed with a human! ;)

yeah, but is he seen as a turtle in his wife's eyes, or as a human i wonder? cos she says something about him looking as he always had, but has she been married to a turtle-like creature or are we just seeing leo whilst she sees her husband? ie quantum leap style, as putrescent said...

i read the first couple pages when i first picked it up and cringed when splinter said "infini-tea." that just sounds so corny. i didn't like the last issue, either but i'll give it a chance.

i loved the original story but as it seems everyone agrees, the art style's novelty is wearing thin. i do look forward to learning how leo gets his sight back, though.

^ This issue was actually really good. It's finally picking up some steam. Unfortunately, you feel like it ends a little too soon with not enough details.

The violence... WOW! I loved the carnage that ensued in this issue. I don't remember that much extreme violence since the City At War arc. Great stuff! The story is really strange. I dunno how Leo can feel so into this realm when it's obviously some hallucination from this "Infini-tea". But we'll see how things pan out in the last issue. Hope this series concludes well.

I dug the battle on horseback, but that's about it.

It was an okay issue, the story will probably read better as a whole rather than these installments. But individually, I'm still not digging the mini.

I spent $32 last week picking up the last issue of TMNT, issues 24, 25, and 26 of Tales and the 3 Leo books. I also picked up some Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm St. comics (TONS more violence :D). However, I have not had a chance to sit down and read them since they are still at my mom's house. After reading everyone's reviews, I definitely want to read them. However, due to my current time restraints and my looking for an apartment, I won't be able to read any comics for the next month or more - so keep these reviews coming!!! Definitely let me know how good the April issue is because I definitely want to ressurect my thread about it.

I just got my copy in the mail today! I was happy to see pictures and not just outlines. Don't get me wrong about Lawsons interesting style, its cool but I like actual drawings. I was stunned that Splinter gave Leo "vision" causing tea. He must haved saved it as a last resort seeing that Leo was not getting any better on his own. The fights seens were intense. It reminded me of the movie "Princess Mononoko" when the kid ( can't remember his name....darn it!) with the demon cursed arm slaughtered some samuri.

It made me smile to see Leo with his little "family". I always thought if Leo had a girlfriend she probably hate fighting but love him just like his "wife" acted. At first, I thought that Leo might have looked human to everyone, but when I re-read it, one of the samuri dudes called him a demon and the villagers did give him what looked like offerings. All is going well so far, but now his swords are gone, and according to the synopsis the Damiyo is not happy with him!

This is such a great mini-series. One more to go. I hate to see it end, but I am eagar to see Leo better. He is my favorite; has been and always will be!
