Did no one pick this up? I got it, thought it was a great little story, bittersweet and a little short. Took me a little bit to get used to Jourdan's art style, but I'm loving the look of what's coming up!

Picked it up yesterday and read it. Interesting story, especially considering it was based on a true story. The issue was less about action, more about story, and I could dig that. It sucks how the ending turned out, but it seemed to be the only sensible thing to do.

This was an interesting issue.

The ending was a bit sad (and ironically after I read this there was an ad on tv on how to get gold easily :lol: ) but the moral was there all the same.

Now to wait for Tales 27!

Kind've a...goofy plot.

"Hey! Those guys are cheating at video games! LET'S BEAT THE SH*T OUTTA EM!"

I mean, it wasn't terrible...I just wasn't feeling the threat. An interesting plot, though.

not really a threat, just the guys trying to help out a bunch of folk working their asses off for next to nowt! y'know, fighting for other people's freedom! i kinda liked the issue, with the exception of the artwork, which i found pretty awful, more crappy fanzine than anything else... casey looks like a chick! oh, and why would they show themselves to so many people, thought that was a little strange! and they all seemed kinda alright about two giant turtles waling and talking...(just had a thought - unless its taken place after or during the utrom's arrival on our planet...) must say there was a coupla funny parts (Donnie: "Weird... he didn't sound ten" and Raph:"Yeah, feelin' the burn. Ugh!")

oh, and i never made the letters page, but i was answering the question for the comp from last issue, (amongst other stuff) perhaps i'll be in next time! and what about that numpty (Jason Rivers) writing in saying he aint gonna buy another title from Mirage ever again, cos of the editor's political point of view? uuh, just dont read the letters page, ye bam!

Yeah! I cannot get my head around people claiming to be fans, yet are willing to drop a book over a letters page! If you like the book so much, why not just skip the letters? It's not as though they're part of the story...

I got this issue today and I thought it had an interesting plot. The artwork -- kinda "meh" for me. Jourdan's style is something that I'm not used to...:ohwell: Maybe if he works on another issue, then it'll increase the chances of me getting used to it.

Anyways, I liked how this baby was written...I guess the writing quality was better than the artwork. Next month's issue is an April solo story -- how do y'all feel about that?

i'm kinda looking forward to it, i think i'm one of the few who actually enjoyed April's origin story, thinking it was highly original, and rather well told. i'm curious to see where her new adventures will take her, and if it will tell us how she ended up taking the mantle of Nobody, or if this will be set afterwards...

To be honest, I'm not looking forward to that AT ALL! This was probably the worst idea Laird could come up with. I really don't want to see them continue this plot at all. I might have to skip out on that issue.

Ugh, I still can't believe Laird did that to April.
