There's some interesting tidbits here:

1) He again reaffirms that the film will follow the tone of Ghostbusters, Lethal Weapon, and Die Hard. This is his third reference to these films.

2) He states that the film will have elements of City At War built into it. This is indeed good news.

3) He reads the message boards regularly! So you can be sure he's been here. :tcouch:

Nice interview. Everytime i read a new one I get more hyped for this movie. I really think its gonna turn out great.
It also made me happy that Kevin Munroe was fast to point out that Shredder will probably be returning in the sequel...although if the movie is successful enough to pull off two more films, it'd be kind of cool if they held off on Shredder till the third...or sixth...uhh..oh well

I'm really excited with what there doing, it sounds like they understand the turtles.

I know when I'm at the theater I'm going to annoy people by yelling out "turtle power!" Every few seconds..........

I really don't want to expect too much from this movie but seeing how Munroe is influenced by Lethal Weapon and Ghostbusters (what an AWESOME combination!) makes it difficult.

Not sure what to think of the whole 'monsters moving into NYC' thing, but then again, the TMNT comics have always been full of weird stuff.

I love the tone of the movies he mentioned, and it's great to know it will be present in this movie as well.

The only thing I'm iffy about is the whole monsters angle of the story. Other than that, I'm still very excited about this movie. You know, since the guy does visit boards to check out fan reaction, maybe we should have more talks about this movie. Or perhaps a new section just for the new movie? To be honest, even if he's here, I doubt Kevin Munroe saw anything worthwhile here, simply because we don't talk about the movie unless there's some news about it. Before the trailer, we didn't have any news or anything worth discussing.

I think a new section would be maybe a good idea... since they're already planning a sequel, from what I understood. I also think that with a section dedicated to the movie, it may encourage people from the turtle's Advertising team to schmooze with people like us, ya know?

It's happened on another fan forum I frequented, and it was pretty cool getting some personal knowledge and anticdotes from people on the inside, you know? Of course it's to help hype the movie, but I really don't mind! :-P
