How Make one Sig and Avatars?

I Wonder...How make one Avatar and Sigs? I want teach me make Sigs and Avatar...Can somebody help me? :)

You want to know how to make your own signatures and avaters? No problem! (Although I have a feeling this should be in the Fan Art section)

All you need is a photo editing program. Photoshop is the common one, but I have PhotoStudio5 which works just as nicely (although Photoshop offers a lot more) You also need some pictures on the computer that you want to use. Just play around with some 'dummie' photos, or photos that you can just muck around with. Play with blurring and special effects. It's kind of hard to explain, but when you play around, you will know what to do. As long as you have that program, you will be fine.

A few hints - Gradients, special effects and the lighten/darken tool are your friend. Don't be afraid to have a go at things you haven't tried yet. Also, the magic wand tool and the eraser tool are extreamly helpful for removing backgrounds.
