View Full Version : TMNT Vol. 6 Coming Dec. 5th!
That's what Amazon tells. Though they note it as 'Season 6' (but a look at the info for it - especially the fact of Lion's Gate being the studio - confirms the next Original TMNT).
So looks like the next Classic Turtles will be coming out in time for Christmas. :)

Welcome. And yes, is great news.
Now, of course, just need to know the Lost Season's DVD release and be good-to-go for now (til the next Original TMNT, and start of Fast Forward coming to DVD, at least).

Are you completely sure they where refering to the classic series release? The December date sounds about right, but if it said season six it may have been refereing to the Ninja Tribunal season.

I had thought that too (when first saw the listing), so that's why I checked the release info Amazon puts with each DVD listing. And, since the studio releasing this one is Lion's Gate (and not Funimation), it's of the Original TMNT Series.

If it were Ninja Tribinal sesaon it would be called season 5 rather than sesaon 6. Navarre.com also says Vol. 6 released in december by Lions Gate.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Season 6 (Full)
So can we assume that it is the whole season?

No, it's probably just the last 11 episodes of season 6.

More likely it's noting of "Full" is in reference to Full Screen. And this next DVD would be the remainder of Season 3 (as it's supposed to be Volume 6, not Season 6).

I guess they realized they need to speed up the releases if they ever want to get the whole show out.
Season 4 has friggin 45 episodes, it's going to take us forever to get through that.

Ooh, I wish I could resist... This season is actually 39 eps. There were 13 syndicated that season, and CBS's 26-ep premiere season. I think it's safe to say that it will span three 13-ep volumes. While I wouldn't count on it, maybe they'll release the CBS bunch in a 2-disc set. That would certainly cut down on the time it takes to get through the series. :)

Thanks for that info, since I had forgotten exactly when the CBS episodes started. There were a couple of sites that claimed they started at the beginning of the 1990 season, but I knew that wasn't right since I remember seeing some of the episodes from the 1990 season in syndication.

Or maybe they included the first episode of season 4 so volume 7 could start with the european vacation? You think that's possible? Volume 7 would then include all the 13 EV episode and Vol. 8 start with the second episode of season 4. And BTW, why does Splinter look like the 2003 version?? The "Vacation" episodes were a late-aired part of TMNT (supposed to be part of Season 4 -- as another ep., that did air regularly, has the Turtles winning said vacation -- but the vacation episodes weren't aired til TMNT's time on USA Network). With the Turtles and Splinter (as well as Channel 6 News crew) travelling various areas of Europe.

Also, why do they have to have the covers looking like the 2003 series. The 1987 series was popular enough, they don't need to tie it in with the new show. The classic cartoon is selling alot better than the new series, at least on amazon, so why these covers? And have you noticed that there is never a picture of the shredder on the back? it's because he looks so different from the utrom shredder, and obviously every thing that's different from the new show is a no no!!!

It's linked from DVD Empire. So, take a wild guess. :P I guess it's not a valid claim to say that they're swiping 2K3's character designs. I don't know any Splinter that only has four fingers... I guess whoever compared Volume Five's cover to Family Guy just because of the chin had foretold the future. :blanksta: Does that scare anyone else?

I don't see what the big deal is of them including the first episode of Season 4.
These aren't "season sets" anymore, they're just 12 or so episodes on and on and on.
It's a reason they call them "Volume 1,2,..etc" instead of "Season 1, 2...etc"
As long as the episodes are in order, that's all that matters. (Sadly, you can't say the same for the 2k3 series with the screwed up order)
That cover looks horrible.

Fortunately, usually within the short period of time that DVD Empire gets the art, tvshowsondvd.com gets a full press release with all of the juicy details. I am sure we will have a full report in a week or so. As for the cover at...I don't understand the Splinter art at all. I really think they should focus the covers more on the original show because that is what the people are buying. They are not tricking little kids into having their moms buy this for them thinking it is the new series. Everyone knows what they are getting here.
They should include original artwork similar to the old VHS release and have a nice detailed insert with original airdates and perhaps behind the scenes information. These DVD's are way too rushed for a big profit. I am hopeful that somewhere in the future they will put out a TMNT collector's release of some sort with viable box art or perhaps a storage box for all of these that represent the 1987 cartoon we all know and love. It is all a marketing gimmick to get us to buy the same DVD's twice. Maybe in five years, re-release everything with extras and new artwork. How many DVD's do they do this with? Rush a release, then in a year come out with a "fully loaded" with more extras and new artwork. (i.e. I Robot & Day After Tomorrow)

The reason for the first episode of season 4 on there is because it picks up where the last episode of season 3 ends. Standing right next to the hole in the city. Also its so they can keep it at 12 eps a release. About the cover art. I don't care anymore. I would rather have cover art issues's then what alot of other shows are going through like Music copy right laws or the show being bought by someone else in the middle of release's. Or what Boy Meets World is going through and Gargoyles. Huge fan base, but horrible sales for dvd's. Just be lucky our only problem is cover art.

Argh. So obnoxious.
I don't see what the big deal is of them including the first episode of Season 4.
It's not a big deal. I just can't help wondering what the extra ep might be. There are a couple of possibilities that I find highly unlikely, but would thrill me to death: the Space Usagi pilot or one of those five or so eps that no one has ever seen and lived to tell about. But, I expect that it will either be "PLAN SIX FROM OUTER SPACE", "DIMENSION X STORY" or "TOWER OF POWER".
The reason for the first episode of season 4 on there is because it picks up where the last episode of season 3 ends.
Is that "DIMENSION X STORY" or "PLAN SIX FROM OUTER SPACE" you're referring to? "DIMENSION X STORY" was the first CBS ep, but it aired between "THE BIG BLOWOUT" and "PLAN SIX FROM OUTER SPACE", the first syndicated ep of season four.

Ya, I know I was wondering about the airdates of the network switches specifically.
"DIMENSION X STORY" AND "DONATELLO'S DEGREE" were the first pair of CBS eps. Even though Molly Bode's guide suggests that "SON OF RETURN OF THE FLY II" was the first CBS ep, I remember that "DIMENSION X STORY" was the first aired, and loc.gov or copyright.gov say it has the first production number from the CBS bunch. You can check out the production numbers here (http://www.thetechnodrome.com/loceplist.shtml). A few more syndicated eps started to trickle out three months later, all punctuated with a brand new end credits background. While I have my doubts about the ep-order of Molly Bode's guide (http://www.ninjaturtles.com/cartoon/synopses.htm), it seems to be pretty accurate putting in order the few eps that loc.gov/copyright.gov actually had ep numbers for (not the same as production numbers). There were only two she had reversed.

Actually I am more concerned about future releases than the cover art. I admit I don't love it, but I won't loose any sleep over it. I want to contact LG yes, but not to bitch over the cover art but to ask them about the future of TMNT. What I am most curious about is knowing how the sales are going. I have a feeling though that LG isn't really bothered by the fan's disappoinment over the covers, sadly.
I'm pretty sure its just going to be Plan 6 from outer space and continue by numbering not original air date, I mean the European Vacation episodes fit perfectly in their episode number, it explains why they are there,
also once we get through S4 (which will take a year) we will probably plow through the other seasons in just one more year since they are such small seasons.

True but any other show that I know of also releases a box set with tons of episodes in it at once so we just pay 40 bucks for tons of episodes. Like they did with He-man and Thunder Cats.
didn't someone post here the retailers 'ad' for the dvd where it specified "colorful cover makes it attractive to costumers", so that is the reason they use the bright color covers, to get retailers to carry it, also look at the price for them, instead of 50$ Boxsets volumes we get budget titles, this is obviously being marketed to kids, cramming episodes to make it appealing, and since most kids know the new show they took stockart of the new show and paint them 'old' school.
I mean that is the most likely explanation.

I agree. But if you think about it, it makes sence since they're gonna but Plan Six on vol. 6. Thay can start vol. 7 with european vacation. Personally I hope this info on wiki is wrong. I hated EV and would much rather see season 4 on vol. 7

didn't someone post here the retailers 'ad' for the dvd where it specified "colorful cover makes it attractive to costumers", so that is the reason they use the bright color covers, to get retailers to carry it, also look at the price for them, instead of 50$ Boxsets volumes we get budget titles, this is obviously being marketed to kids, cramming episodes to make it appealing, and since most kids know the new show they took stockart of the new show and paint them 'old' school.
I mean that is the most likely explanation.
Yeah, that was me...:P I wish I could remember the post....
Looked can't find it....so I'll just re-post the old ad.

Nice to have some confirmation on this. I had just seen this news on TV Shows On DVD too, and came in here to post as well. But guess you beat me to it :)
A'ight. That's reliable. Seeing that they're ending on "PLAN SIX..." (Molly Bode's first ep of YEAR FOUR), I can see how someone might get the impression that Euro Cruise would come next (in as much as it's announced at the end of said ep). But, it still seems like a small possibility to me.
I expect that Volume Seven will include the next 12 eps from Molly Bode's guide, making Volumes Eight and Nine both 13 ep collections of the first CBS season. Surely, they could easily delay these releases one volume so they can put the Euro Cruise where it was actually planned to air, but it's anyone's guess at this point.
I wouldn't mind either way, but I really want to see that first Slash ep ASAP. In my estimation, it was the only impressive Slash ep since they made him a hillbilly stereotype in other appearances (after getting the sense knocked back out of him).

Actually, after a while the DVD cover art didn't bug me too much... I kinda like the amalgamation between the new series and old series design... but this Splinter bit is kinda stupid.
All I hope is they have a better source for tapes than VOL4 had... some of the episodes weren't kept well on tape... Casey Jones looked like a bootlegg.
its the episode list I expected, and while i'd have to sit through 'bad' episodes I rather see the EV episodes where they chronologically take place than by order number ;o

W00t! Picked up my copy at WAL*MART today. Glad to see they finally finished Season 3 and started Season 4. Though, I'm not a big fan of the cover. I don't like that they used the new-school master splinter. They should have used the old-school one.
I got mine too,
sadly no cool extra cover on this one, just the basic, disc and no insert,
i'll start watching it tomorrow.
Well we get trailers when we start the dvd again, but we get new animation intro,
I watched the turtle terminator, pretty funny episode, lots of slapstick too, and as most robot episodes in the end donatello reprograms it. The animation was really bad int his episode, but it made me feel nostalgic instead of aggravate me.

Picked it up at Wal-Mart yesterday for $9.21 and watched the whole thing.

In a nutshell: Not as good as the last volume but the season finale is kickass.

(Sigh), AND it's the last "real" finale for three damn years.
I'm suprirsed you hated "Shredderville", it's a fan favourate and one of the darker "dream episodes" that made you care about the concept, and that's very rare to do, especially since Futurama executed it so damn well once. Personally, I'm more of a fan of the Captain Planet dream episodes "Population Bomb" and "Utopia", with the former being that ever classic moment Gaia told the Planeteers and the viewers to have less babies, freaking Wheeler out, leading to this really creepy nighmare involving huge underground Rats ruling over a subterranian world falling apart thanks to overpopulation.
Plus you'd never see some of that stuff on television anymore, you know, the whole thing with April and Irma dressed the way they were, Zach vandalizing property, Shredder and Krang having turned New York into Kuwait...there was a big political commentary in that episode.
And yeah, had CBS not interfered and milked the franchise more, this was going to be the final season, for those who did'nt have SKY or cable in the UK, this WAS the final season, we did'nt get many other episodes on standard television, so Nickolodean got later seasons, and Bravo picked up seaons two and three (seaosn one having been long banned in the UK), and a few season four episodes (including ones from the tenth) in 1999
I still think it was stupid to put "Plan Six From Outer Space" on this DVD, yes it was a direct sequel to the finale, but most of the entire European Vacation gradually continues to cover the repairing of The Technodrome until the attempt at that kind of continuity dissapeared as Shredder and Krang became less important to the story and dissapered until season seven started for real, and even when you count this arc as canon with four, they don't appear much in the arc and wait until it's over before resurfacing.

Yeah. "Shredderville" was a good ep.
And I also liked watching Captain Planet back in he day. Those 2 episodes you note were interesting ones (for the dream concept, etc.). Also wanted to say - though the series' main thing was ecology, they didn't shy away from other 'world problems'; like Aids, war, and drugs (on that note, some times just thinking of the ep. "Mind Pollution" gives me chills).
DrSpengler

Yeah, maybe I didn't give Shredderville a fair shot. The "alternate future run by the villain WHEW it was only a dream!" plot device just left a nasty taste in my mouth. I'm also not that big a fan of Same as it Never Was (even if it did do a few cool things). I'm just kinda jaded with recycled cartoon plots.
Looking at it a bit more objectively, it was a decent episode and, like you said, one of the more darker offerings in a season that could get pretty silly.

It's also the rarest to find as a complete set on DVD, bootleg or otherwise, Turner has a huge vice on it. Only six episodes have been found on the internet, and special DVDs are given away to fans.
Turner has been toying with reviving it, but it has'nt happened yet, I'm guessing he's waiting for a Liberal to take the Presidency
Couldn't wait, sdp? :P
I guess i didn't, i ended up popping it in :D
today i watched The Great Boldini, this one seemed better animated, and turned out a lot better than i thought, the 'fifth' turtle kid was not annoying neither was his 'not girlfriend', they didn't even play that joke more than once, the random ratking appearances are always funny, and great to see the return of the tickling mob boss. No shredder episodes make the show feel a little more "fresh".

I have 1 2 and 4. the episodes on 4 were hit or miss IMO. I really want 5, at least for the Usagi Yojimbo episodes.
I haven't looked around for it much this week. I didn't see it at Newburry Comics...which was odd. They'd be the first place I'd think to have it. Not to mention I didn't see Animaniacs Vol2, but Pinky and the Brain Vol 2 was there.

All I got to say is wow. Actually I thought that this volume had just as much good episodes as volume five. I was very pleased. And a little shocked at some of the things the episodes. I can't believe the writter went there in having Irma and April turned into harem girls. Especially in the skimpy outfits that they wore. I actually thought Irma had the better looking Harem girl outfit of the two.
The only episode in volume six that I really didn't like was Mr. Ogg Goes to Town mostly because I couldn't stand Mr. Ogg, espeically that Pee Wee Herman-esch laugh of his. UGH!! Not that it didn't have its more amusing moments there was a few times where I laughed out loud during this episode, but mostly I thought Mr. Ogg episode was weak.

Come on Sage...who can't love a cross between DC comics Mr. Mxyzptlk and Pee-wee Herman....what....really....noone....ok, sorry, carry on.
Just watched The Missing Map, a few tidbits and questions:
*how many people will zack tell, the episode before his 'not girlfriend' and now his brother hmm, at least he wasn't that annoying in this one either even with more screen time
*how did the turtles have a picture before being mutated? makes no sense
*so, splinter has evidence that could kick shredder out of the foot clan, i'm not going to mention how they stopped mentioning it after half the episode (what happened to it?) but why hasn't Splinter proved it before if he has evidence? besides its not like he uses foot ninjas he uses robots ninjas instead, they wouldnt care, it was just weird.
Its kinda fun though that the show has a little continuity, even if small much better than none at all.

About Splinter not proving Shredder's conspiracy with the evidence. It's never made clear when Splinter actually got this evidence. He could've gotten it during the time after he had been mutated. At that point, he couldn't go back and prove himself innocent even if he wanted to.
Shredder
12-09-2006, 02:14 AM
"The Missing Map"- I wondered also about the pre-mutation Turtle picture, but then I guess it could have been taken by Splinter, since he (as a human) did live with them as regular turtles for awhile before the mutation. I agree that the whole Foot Clan proof thing was kind of confusing, though, since I didn't get why he didn't use it before. As to what happened to it, I guess it blew up in the cannon?
"The Gang's All Here"- Great episode, always a classic, but just a couple random/funny observations.
-Someone "wolf whistles" at Bebop (as a granny) when he walks away after giving the Turtles the cookies.
-Turning into a human=free shoes! I guess it's like human Splinter growing pants and a tie in "Splinter No More" (although we should be thankful for the pants).
-What's with the guy dressed like an accountant in the gang?
-Watch when Donatello sprays the guy who looks like human Michaelangelo. The flowers on his shirt disappear.
Shredderville is awesome. I wish it had Shredder's "usual" voice, though...
Anyway, as always, I'm enjoying this release and having a lot fun watching the shows. I hope the series is selling well, since we want all the episodes released!
Sage Ninja

what I never got in the Gangs All Here is how the turtles could just point at some some radom guy and say "Oh look there is Michaelangelo as human teenager" with out having any real way of knowing of what Michelangelo as human teenager would look like. :-?
And what is really weird is that the guy they did point out looked an awaful lot like what real human Michelangelo looked like :ohwell:. So whats the story how did the turtles know before hand what Mike as a human would look like. Or did they just look at what he is wearing and think, "hey that looks like one on Michelangelo's shirts, thats gotta be him"!
But seriously though something is up :|

I want to get this one but the Best Buy's in my area are all sold out. Ahhhh!!! :x
Anyways I'll find it somewhere eBay, Walmart, Circuit City... The hunt for volume six continues...
I also now watched "The gangs all here",
This episode seemed to have a lot of different subplots for the old series, April joining the gang, Shredder wanting some random thing, Turtles trying to find Mike, Mike adventuring as a human.
Those gang members did not talk like a gang at all, I know it was a kids cartoon but come on :p And i'm guessing they were from an 'older' gang Rocksteady and Beebop were in since its not the same ones from Season 1. Biker April was kinda cool.
They could have really played a whole "I want to be human" to feel sorry for Mikey angle but its still hinted at, seeing him as a human was beyond weird, and he looked kind of young oh well i guess they were going for that to 'relate' the people who watched the show.

In case it hasn't already been mentioned, the 12th episode on the Volume 6 DVD will be the season 4 premiere "Plan 6 from outer space" .
Back with two more 'mini' reviewsz:
"furry creature episode"
So the turles were playing Pong, nice!(though it sounded like bottons were being pressed)Nice to see the neutrino's again, and man Kala looks bald with that futuristic hair cut. I wonder if Don has a crush on Kala, he blushed as well, though i guess he could have just blushed at being called intelligent. One of the highlights was the Shredder vs Leo fight, they don't have enough of those and while it was repetitive animation it was great, and from the sound of the dialogue Shredder as winning ;).
They should have used the 'dimension x' plot device more often on the old show, it left a lot of possibilities.
Mr. Ogg episode:
Quite fun, the Mr. Pxy of the TMNT universe! his PeeWee laugh was funny and overall fun, it was great seeing shredder actually succeed at stealing and beating the turtles, even if the plan at the end didn't work in the end. We also see that some rooms in the technodrome are traditional japanese looking for shredder. April's chest seemed larger in this episode, its weird how it changes from episode to episode, different animators i guess. The ending was kind of weird but I guess neat. It'd be great if we saw him again.

True, but that's like asking if they ever intended to kill off a character on a soap-opera. While it doesn't really matter what was originally intended, only the writers actually know. I'd say that they didn't expect to use him again in Group W's syndicated run, but CBS gave them reason to resurrect the character.

Season 3 had so many episodes that it had to be split among Volumes 3-6.
Season 4 has a crapload of episodes as well, so be prepared for another 3 volumes for a single season.
Luckily after that we'll blast through the seasons, since the rest of them don't have as many eps per season.
Watched shredderville:
I liked it a lot but was dissapointed a little, maybe from all the hype it had from this forum. It was definately interesting, i bet it might have inspired "bad day" on the new toon. Zach definately made a lot of appearances this season. There are a few questions like what exactly happened but thats fine. And shredder acting goofy can be accounted in that it was a dream. If i remember correctly though weren't Rocksteady and beebops voices a little different when human? they were also not as dumb oh well i'll blame it on being a dream also. I wonder if Splinter had anything to do with it.
The quality on the episode was definately not that good, it had VHS type discoloring on the top.
Edit:
also watched bye bye fly, man Baxter never catches a break. I forgot what happened to him before this episode but this one just adds more tragedy. it was funny R&B messing with fly shredder, the space ship was actually pretty cool. Why didn't Fly baxter shoot himself to be human? and why didn't they just use the gun on splinter? It was cool shredder whipping that Sword to fight, too bad he didn't use it.there was more stuff about it but i forgot, i'll edit with them later.
I wonder if is should watch the 3 part finale in one sitting or one per day?

unless they go back to that one realise a year crap. That will seriously piss me off. I'll be 23 years old in March, and Id like to own the whole series by the time I'm 26. But at this rate i'll be almost thirty.
I remember a lot more episodes that had Channel 6, Vernon, Irma and Thompson, its weird how we dont see them as much as i remember.(maybe in the later seasons?)
Saw The Big rip off and Break in was a nice set up episode for the power to be back, and a nice episode VS the technodrome and krang, i actually never thought the old toon had an episode with these things, its nice to now they did face each other eventually at some point. I noticed Mikey used has been using his 'hook' instead of nunchakus, is it just these past few episodes? I thought they didnt take them away until, the red sky episodes. How can Leo's katana cut through the space ship and metal objects? I normally don't mention stuff like that but that was a lot.

True, "The Big Blow-Out" story arc gave us as fans everything we were guranteed throughout that season, before the show sold out and did'nt give us anything we wanted to see (well, give or take) and wasted potentional for bigger episodes as mid-season ratings grabbers.
I'd have loved to have seen "Rock Around The Block" end the fifth season rather than open the fairly open-and-shut sixth, because it's only one of the four to five times the Turtles lose and have to rely on fate to defeat their enemies, they could barley handle General Tragg's rock giants levelling New York where as Shredder did everything by himself to free The Technodrome, if that story had been a trilogy the way the Big Blow-Out was, we'd have seen something great, but "RATB" serves as good opening episode to an arc that simply was'nt there.

When I was a kid, I had no problem with that. Watching it now, it bothers me. Oh well, not that this show ever had realistic physics in account. (Channel 6 building gets torn off its foundations more times than I can count yet stands perfectly)

Saw the final S3 episode. It was nice seeing the military, normally shows ignore 'world' disasters.
The technodrome seemed to change size in every other episode, but i think it was inconsistant in the same episode. The ending indeed VERY Deus Ex Machina. The ending did seem "epic". I enjoyed part two of the finale the most. Does Mike use his nunchuks ever again? and wow, Shredder survived that fall!
Overall S3 was very fun, i liked it a lot more overallt han season 2.

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that the Technodrome gets carried off by a missile into Dimension X in the Season 3 finale?
When I was a kid, I had no problem with that. Watching it now, it bothers me. Oh well, not that this show ever had realistic physics in account.
The Technodrome was made of an alien metal, and obviously Earth metal had no effect on it compared to what Dimension X weaponry could. Was'nt ellaborated on, but hey, when you know it's built by an alien, it's obviously going to BE alien, so who cares?
Watched the S4 premier, not a bad way to start the season, and it does set up perfectly the trip to europe, not having i would be dumb. I didn't understand why splinter said Shredder was still a threat even from Dimension X, didn't they already know that? they were on dimension X on season 2.
I actually liked the Splinter robot a lot, he was pretty interesting, i wonder if he is the same model as the Irma robit episode earlier this volume.
I blazed through this volume, normally i liked watching one episode per day but i didn't do a good job at it this time, oh well.

Anyone notice that a good chunk of Season 3 deals with robots or rogue computers or crazy electronics or something?
Were we really that obsessed with killer robots and computers taking over in the late 80's?

One of the best cartoons of that period involved transforming robots, not to mention there was Blade Runner, Neromancer, Centurions, etc, were you blind during the 1980's at birth or something? Everything was more technologically aware due to the evolving issue of cybernetics and cyberspace at the time, and the dangers that came with it.
So yeah, we were obsessed, what the hell is the problem? It beats the Jebus out of yellow sponges in underwear regurgitating old Ren and Stimpy jokes.

damn straight.
So yeah, we were obsessed, what the hell is the problem
That is why this show was so fun. It took just about any social/popculture/technological cliche or greviance of that time and tottally incorporated into its plots and made fun of it. Casey Jones is a perfect example. They never got into his back story in the show but based on how he is presented, how much you want to bet that his desire to "break things" and do damage against machines was because he is an out of work factory worker that got replaced with a machine that could do the job faster and better, and fliped out because of it!!
Does Mike use his nunchuks ever again?
I did notice Michaelangelo favoring his grappling hook over his nunchucks in the last two episodes. It kind of made feel a little sad. But to answer you question he does uses them in season four but tends to favor his grappling hook more in season four and I think he loses them completely in season five.

he was just commenting on it, jeeze. Its better than having no discussion on any episode.
and it is true, every other episode involves a robot.

Just watched The Missing Map, a few tidbits and questions:
*how many people will zack tell, the episode before his 'not girlfriend' and now his brother hmm, at least he wasn't that annoying in this one either even with more screen time
that annoyed the heck out of me! I mean I don't care that he brought his brother along, that just seems natural to me to have share your sevret with your sibling (even if Zacks brother is a little sneaky prick) but showing that random girl the lair and the boys being okay with it is just obnoxious.
*how did the turtles have a picture before being mutated? makes no sense
I'm guessing that after Splinter found the turtles he took some pictures of them before all the crazy mutation stuff happened. Its not to far a stretch i take pictures of my pet bunny all the time.
I'm guessing that Shredder isn't the sole leader of the foot clan. I always rationed out in my little kid mind that the foot clan was made up of branches and each branch had its own leader that over saw their area of influence. That could explain who exactly those dudes in the first episode where when they went to visit t Yoshi and why they had the power to toss him out on his butt, whgen Yoshi was supposedly the head of the Foot clan. They heads of a diffrent branch. Makes sence...right?
But as to how Splinter could possibly prove on a piece of paper that Shredder stuck a nife in his shirt to make it look like he was threatning the sensei? I have no idea. I think there is more to the whole thing that Splinter never told the turtles.

Using that roll eyes.gif is'nt commentating on jack, he was mocking how much of that stuff was in a comedy series.
Out of curiosity, did anyone else take it that way?

The roll-eyes smiley, by internet standards, is one of the most volatile things a person can post. Nothing says "total prick" quite as much as ""
People need to be more careful when they use it, as just looking at it is enough to make a lot of people mad.
Personally, I didn't take his comment as some terribly offensive statement, but I thought his use of the roll-eyes smiley was pointless and his comment about the popularity of robots an technology in fiction from the 80's was rather ill-informed.
That's news to me. Thanks! ^_^

RAR EVEYTHING MAKE SPANGZ ANGREE!!1!
Except cake.
LOL! Have sum uv the rum cake my mum baked. ^_^ (Sorry. Force of habit.)
the rolleye smiley can mean a lot of stuff, like something being annoying or tedious, he was just commenting on how much the robot plot was used which makes sense to be somewhat annoyed at the "fear" they must have had in the 80s or whatever,
you guys are looking too much into a freaking smiley.
Cybercubed knows a lot about TMNT and its alway interesting to read his thoughts.

I watched the first four episodes last night, but I decided to do mini reviews for two of 'em.
The Great Boldini: Not bad for a magician type of episode. Zach's friend Caitlin was pretty annoying, so I didn't care much for her. I liked the mobster/gangster feel of this episode, especially with Don Turtelli sounding like he came out of 1920's Chicago. I was glad to see Rat King again -- not something I expected...:) It was funny when that one policeman thought the Turtles were the Teenage Mutant Ninja Leprechauns instead of Turtles. I'm glad that the Turtles figured who stole the gem so they didn't get arrested. It gets a three out of five.
The Gang's All Here: Heh...when Michelangelo was a human, he had somewhat of a resemblance to -- dare I say it -- Alfred E. Neuman. I didn't think he would look like an ordinary person necessairly, but what can you do? :ohwell: Aside from all that, I thought the skateboarding parts were cool and it was good to find out more about the gang that Bebop and Rockstready were memebers of. It was intreseting to see April as a gang maybe, mainly for the sake of her doing it for a news story. I guess chocolate pizza was never Mikey's cup o' tea, which he probably thought wouldn't taste too good because of the anti-mutagen cookie he ate. Overall, I thought this epsiode was pretty good, so I'm giving it a four out of five.

I liked this episode a lot but to be honest now that I see it again as an adult, I don't think care very much for Michaelangelo's human teenager character design. I thought they made him look way to young to be a 15/16 year old guy. I mean my God he looked like a twelve year old, and he didn't look as muscular as he usally is when he is a ninja turtle. I would have liked it if they had made him look more athletic looking and had given him at least long hair or something to make him look less clean cut. You know make stand out a bit more.
It was cool seeing April as a gangster. I would have liked to see more of the April vs. Big Red fight before Michaelangelo jumped in and saved her butt. Actually I think I would have liked to see April get her ass kicked  that way she would learn not to take such dumb risks just for the sake of a story. Did any one elese notice that the gang that Rocksteady and Bebop went to go visit was not the orginal gang they where with in the pilot episodes?

In Turtle Terminator, right after Irma steps on Shredder's foot, I get two 2-second frozen frames, one of Bebop and Rocksteady, the other of Irma looking mad. Is this a defect?

I believe its always like that.
That episode had some of the worst animation in the entire series. You can easily tell which episodes were produced fast to get them out of the gate, while others they actually took their time on.

I also noticed those errors (and posted about them here), so I'm glad to know that it wasn't just my DVD. Spitfire mentioned that those errors don't occur on the AVI episodes, so they may be specific to the DVD release. Maybe someone with the VHS release could check just to make sure.

I checked my old vhs tape. I recorded it from TV when i was a kid and it has the same problem. So its not a DVD error, I am sure. I was really surprised when I saw the tape cause I was sure it was a DVD thing!!
