Good point Metalhead, I also noticed when i first picked one up i started walking off and i heard a bunch of bouncing inside the package, so i went back and grabbed a new one.

I got mine at our local Wal-Mart Supercenter for $13.88, plus tax. First (new series) TMNT DVD that I've found there since around last May! So I was WELL pleased.
I also watched "Insane in the Membrane"...THREE times, in fact, so I could see just what the heck all the fuss that Fox's so-called "Standards and Practices" Board put up about it was about. (It being the LAST ep on Disk 1, that was easy.) And to be honest, I was at a complete and total loss as to what all the hullabaloo was about. Yeah, there were a couple of scenes in it that were pretty gross (like Baxter's lower jaw falling off; etc.), but other that that, nothing that I would classify as "disturbing". In fact, I think I raised an eyebrow once, but no more than that.
And as for it being too..."disturbing"...for the kids; well, my 9 year old niece walked into my bedroom while I was watching it the second time, and SHE didn't have much of a reaction, either. She said "Ewwww!" when Baxter's jaw dropped off, but that was about it. Heck, she said that the video game that she plays at home was worse than this ep, in terms of grossness and violence. And myself, I've seen worse shows than THIS on Fox. Anybody remember the "X-Files"? Some of THEIR episodes were WAY worse than THIS one! So honestly, I, PERSONALLY, don't see what all the sandblasted FUSS was about!

I like the animated shorts allot...I like the Karai one..I wish they would have made one for Leatherhead though showing us where he was all this time or one of fugitoid or the utroms that would have been great.

There's one about Karai?!
Aw gee, I have to buy it now! She's my favorite side-character on the show!
(My intentions were to not buy any 2003 TMNT dvds, with the exception of the "Lost Season" of course, and just wait for the possible season sets...but I'll make an exception since there's a short about Karai!:D)

Season-Sets are rather doubtful, since the series is out on DVD already.

Yeah, but the dvds are messed up and sloppy.
Also, just because it's already on dvd doesn't mean we won't get sets.
Avatar, Wolf's Rain, Buffy, and I'm sure many others have had individual dvd releases and still got season box sets.

*shrug* The DVDs being 'messed up' isn't really much of a problem when you have a list of the episodes (and thus know the order of them).
As for the noting of Sets and Singles. Sure it happens some times. But more often it doesn't (or the Sets and Singles are released in-conjuction. So the Singles end up few in number, and as-such don't have the whole series).

Their trying to pahse out the 03 part of TMNT and bring in Suck Forward so I really doubt we will be seeing anything anymore related to the 03 toon other then TLS.

And Fraggle Rock. The Season sets co-exist with the box sets perfectly. I think it would be a stupid thing NOT to release them in season by season sets for collectors. I feel that they'd be a better draw than 10 per 5 episode (at most) sets, and would sell much better.
They could do what they did with Teen Titans, and just take the same episodes and combine them on new disks. They even stopped doing the single volumes, since sets were more cost efficient.
BTW... I didn't even realiae this was even out until I saw it at FYE Saturday!
I finally got my copy of this DVD from DeepDiscount. I'm tickled pi-- er, green actually that three of the six supposedly never-before-seen shorts were actually new to me. That puts Dong Woo at 28 while Peach Nova still only has 20. I hope we get more that I haven't seen on The Lost Season's set. ^_^
EDIT: I forgot to mention, I'm glad that idea the boardist had for making a more feminine breastplate for the new Shredder went no further than the animatic stage. That would have been intolerably sexist and infuriating. :flaming:
EDIT AGAIN: I just noticed this. What does everyone think of Commissioner Laird having the Shredder signal on in the inside-of-the-cover art? Isn't that awfully cheesy? Yet, it doesn't bother me much at all. After all, I always assumed Batman was the inspiration for the lack of pupils in Splinter's pupils. (I made a not-very-funny... ha... ha...)

True, but it eliminates fair-play AKA honor from a battle to have a constant visual reminder that the fight is against a woman. Karai would never approve of flaunting her female figure. It's a cheap psychological trick.
