I'm 26. If I'm not mistaken, the majority of this particular fan-community is comprised of young adults. Little kids who only know the 4Kids series wouldn't be looking for anything called "The Technodrome". For that reason, I think we can effectively call this "The TMNT-fan Retirement Home". :D 'Cept we're not retiring yet... :ohwell: I hate it when I ruin my own jokes...

That's true they don't know what the technodrome is:P :P that doesn't exist in the new serie,I don't have favorite from marvel those things don't intresse me as much as TMNT does,I not that falling in love with Spider-man,X-men those are okey bu they aren't my favorite.But TMNT is very very special to me,Wakes a lot of memories,I use to play turtles when I was younger,I was Raphael and I am a Girl

i'm 21 been a fan since i was a kid. uh had all 4 turtles when i was 2 though i cant believe i had all 4 really... but eh...whatever when i played with the toys i always made a soap opra then an action kinda thing----i loved the cartoon and all...liked the raph and mono lesia episode ^^ i dunno why i'm into the 'love relationship' thing i guess i was odd...and yes i'm male >.> anyways i like the old toon but its a bit corny o.o i gotten used to the new more mature storyline of the tmnt show. but that dont mean i dont watch my classics tmnt dvd. ^^ theyre both have enough room for me.:tgrin:

Yeah, I'll be 20 in a few weeks, and some of my earliest memories involve me throwing TMNT action figures high in the air, jumping down hills shouting "Cowabunga!", and going down slides shouting "Turtle Power!"

And now I just draw them all over everything. And watch both cartoons. And look for comics when I can. I'm sure all the other girls on my floor think I'm weird. :trazz:

I'm 25, and I used to watch the original series every day after school when it became big here in Australia (about 1990). Then I either lost interest or they took it off air. I saw two or three eps of the new series last year on early morning kid's TV, and thought it was crap (!!!), so I never gave it a go. And I was never up early enough anyway!

I found myself becoming a fan once again just a couple of months ago when I was looking for OS episodes to download so I could remember why I loved the series as a kid. After watching a couple I did some online fandom browsing, and decided to give the new series a go. I bought season one and two on dvd last week and have been watching them religiously ever since!

So I'm now a fan of both the new and old series. I haven"t read the comics at all cause comics have never been my thing.

Sorry for the ramble! Lol.

I was born and raised on the TMNT. When I have kids, they will be fans of the TMNT, because I will only let them watch OS TMNT when they're young. When they're older, they can watch the new ones. That way, I'll be sure that they don't turn out like screw-ups raised on... teletubbies, or barny, or some other God-awful programming.

That's Ryu's and Ken's Kamehameha Wave or fireball from Street Fighter lore. The only thing I'm curious about is which pronunciation the tyke gave it: Ha-doo-ken (like the videogame's sound effects suggest) or Ha-doe-ken (like the animes suggest).

Raph lover since 1990 (senior year)...actually come to think of it, I think I was a fan in 1987...then quickly became a Raph nut with Rob's funny Raph but then when the movie came out, then REALLY loved the big red boy.

Exactly! My parents are probably the oldest TMNT fans I know. Everyone in my family (except my grandparent) are fans (mostly Raph and Leo fans...).

My mom is a major Michelangelo fan and we even have a cat named Michelangelo (he's such a pest too... crazy cat :lol: )

My step-dad (who has brothers named Mike and Don) considers Donatello to be his hero.

I'm 26, and have been a fan since early 1990, when my sister brought home a pirate copy of the first movie from Spain.
It hadn't yet been released in Ireland, but I'd heard about the hype surrounding it's debut in America.
I loved the movie and the rest is history, I have to say though, the original Mirage comics would be my fave universe, then the new toon.
My fave Turtle has always been Raphael.

Im 20 on the 3rd of october which is in like 2 days :o . And i find that whatching cartoons help me distress from a week of university. tmnt help me cause its just so damh detailed.

Has anyone been in the position where you need to keep your love of cartoons and tmnt a secret cause every one has seemed to grown up a round u?

I purposely DO NOT hide my love for TMNT. You should see my schoolbus. ^.^ I'll just say the kids love it, they remember me and my bus and call me the "cool bus driver". It's all just more than showing one of my interests, the kiddies remember me.

I have all 10 seasons of the original series on a disk set I baught off ebay. I do indeed have all the movies as well. On Tape tho... not DVD.

Altho my grandparents aren't fans, when they were living in England I got a bunch of TMHT stuff(this was back in like 1990). So altho they aren't fans they're at least aware of my fandom.

I even have this art book they got me one year called What Makes a Raphael a Raphael. :lol:

I have one area of my room that's just TMNT stuff. People visit, see my room, and are fascinated about my rather large collection. This generally brings them to admit they are fans. "Oh cool! Where'd you get these?!" or "I've always liked Donatello..."

Amongst some of my cousins Leonardo is refered to as The Blue Dude.

When my mom found out that I had the majors for Raphael she at first thought I was weird....but has since gotten used to it. As has the rest of the family. :D

I'm only 14, so i guess i missed the huge turtles explosion of the late eighties, but i still recall them being the greatest thing around when i was 4-5 years old, and being able to buy the first line of toys, first season's vhs, and any other merch. i could get my hands on!!!:D
