Has anyone heard any updates on this series/trade?
It was initially said to be in 2005, and well... 2006 is just about done, so I'd just like any kind of update that I might have missed on when it should be expected.
Thanks in advance.

Chris Allan is still working on the art. There is no set release

Forever War was originally a 5 issue story that was to end the Archie series. It was cancelled before these got to be made, but Chris Allan did have the covers made. They were pretty sweet.

Wait a minute... they're actually releasing it? I suppose 10 years or so late is better than never.

In the case of the Forever War series- definately....

I'm looking forward to this despite the fact that it's been delayed more than once. Does anyone know if the arc will have a more serious, darker tone similar to the later Archie issues?

Yeah, I'd imagine so as well. I'm curious if they are going to try to work it into Mirage continuity or not? Considering that the new volume of Tales is kind of a "anything can happen" scenario, I wouldn't be surprised.

Some one should write in an ask I've been writting a huge letter to peter about some things I'd like to know so perhaps I could include that in my letter to him.
Also I don't know about that I like the story being part of the archie comics tmnt world I'd sort of dislike it to be part of the mirage world.
I mean unless peter decides he'd like to make archie like volume 3 or somehting instead of image haha then I'm fine with that.

i think i remember in an old letters that peter laird said that it would be set in the archie universe, but would be published by mirage (as archie no longer do TMNT comics anymore)

I have a kind of FAQ about this series that I posted a year or two ago. I'll dig it up and post it here.

An unpublished Archie series is going to be released eventually? That's awesome.
Are there any plans to re-release any of the old Archie stuff in trades? I'd prefer the Mirage stuff gets reprinted first, but Archie trades would be convenient.

Well, some of the Clarrain/Allen stuff from Tales Vol. 2 were unpublished Archie tales. I know "Rock of Ages" is one for example.

not sure about that. they're all supposed to be set in the mirage universe (with the exception of the forthcoming Forever War).

No I mean they were ORIGINALLY meant for the Archie series but never used. Now they're being released under Mirage.
