This just occured to me: if this movie is a continuation of the 1st and partially 2nd film, will April still be a news reporter? She was in the 1st and she was in the 2nd and in the third, well, she was just there. Just a thought. If anyone has information, please share. This thread doesn't just have to be about April, it could be about any character. What do you think they'll be like? Character descriptions, etc. Have fun with it.

I'm pretty sure I heard or read in an interview with KM that April will not be a news reporter.

yeah, It was in one of the plot descriptions that she would not be. She's going to be running the Antique store, it seems

Awe, April not being a reporter is kind of dismal news for me. I kind of liked her as the inquisitive reporter who was always busting police chief Sterns chops, and butting heads with her boss.
I don't know, I just think she has more opportunities to help the turtles with her being a reporter than an antique saleswoman.

I'm sure April will get in enough trouble in the Antique store. That place has been part of some disaster so many times the insurance company must cringe everytime an envelope with her name come in :lol:

The April in the movie is based on the comic continuity, oddly, and not the previous live action movies (lab assistant, not reporter).
Because that's what today's audiences will be expecting. Imagine the movie starting and April be reporting for Channel 3, and all the rugrats yelling "WTF?! :x". That would not be a favorable scene... funny, but not favorable. :D

What about Casey? He and April were defiantly meant for serious development in the next few movies, yet he wasn't there in the second movie. And I haven't seen the third movie for the sake of my sanity. Will he and April be living together, or will Casey still be the hotheaded guy we all know and love, to wild to be with April right now?
They allowed the Kryptonian Boy Scout to have an illegitimate child for a measly PG-13. I thought they reserved that rating only for horrors these days. So, while TMNT is only supposed to be a hard PG, they might not spell-it-out, but I expect it wouldn't be morally unacceptable at this day and age for them to be living together (outside of wedlock). Can you imagine how prudish and self-riteous people would have to be to complain about that? We're talkin' Kirk Cameron prude here! :o

Has anyone here seen the classic movie Jaws, unedited and uncut. As gory and disturbing as that movie is, it still is rated as a PG movie. So how toned down will they have this new movie?

Jaws came out before there was even a PG-13.

Casey and April will be shown as having grown closer and definitely a couple, though if it's not necessarily beaten down on us that they're...you know...having premaritals. This is still a movie meant to be seen by children, even if it's not just for kids.

Irritating to no end, the marketers think it's just for kids. Why else would the teaser trailer only be played before every rugrat-focused CGI movie that has come out since The Ant Bully? I fear that, by the 23rd of March, every lil' kid in America will be so anxious to see this film that it will intimidate some narrow-minded, older fans (mostly the "I'm too old for that" youngsters I imagine). For the adult fans who are still of this mentality, hurry up and have kids before it's too late! They'll make a convenient excuse. Say, "the baby's not due for another few months, but studies show that they can appreciate the classics while in the womb... we're just trying to give the tyke a head-start on his or her edumacation :embarass:". Playing the moral support role in the entertaining of a child is a convenient excuse for being there. ;)

for shame, for shame...incuraging youg adults like my self to have kids before their ready just for the sake of a movie. I'm only 22 I don't need the extra baggage :lol:
I thought this movie was supposed to have a PG13 rating? That would have been a perfect rateing for a movie like this. I watched the latest X-Men movie and it had cuss words and violence aplenty in it. Why can't the TMNT have that too? I'm telling you there had better be some mildly sever cussing in this TMNT movie at least :x
:-? A thousand pardons, Milady. 'Twas merely a joke. But, the director himself has been quoted as saying that they are pushing the limits of PG with this film. It won't be anymore inappropriate for kids that Superman Returns was, and that movie earned itself a PG-13 for the intense hatred that its Lex displayed in the Superman beat-down sequence. That scene still upsets me every time I see it. Kevin Spacey was a more believable and detestable Luthor than Gene Hackman.
